We are working in partnership with the Church of England who are seeking an Independent Chair for their Racial Justice Panel.

The Racial Justice Panel (RJP) was established by the Archbishops’ Council in December 2024 following the successful conclusion of the work on the Archbishops' Commission for Racial Justice led by the Lord Boateng PC, CVO. The RJP is to provide independent assurance that the work of racial justice is being carried out effectively by the Church, in accordance with agreed plans and wider best practice.

The RJP Panel, albeit a critical friend, maintains its independence, offering rigorous scrutiny and challenge to the Church in its work on racial justice including examining progress against strategic and delivery plans. It shall produce an annual report to be laid before the General Synod. 

The RJP are looking to appoint an experienced independent Chair who will provide excellent leadership, direction and independent scrutiny and challenge to the Church of England and bring external expertise from holding a highly senior role. 

They are looking for an independent chair who:

• Is a gifted leader, who will support the Church of England in further strengthening its safeguarding arrangements and partnerships.
• Is passionate about working collaboratively at all levels, with a proven track record in improvement work at a national level.
• Knows how to hold organisations to account and possesses the skills to support the development of senior leaders.
• Understands through senior level personal experience, the core aspects of racial justice at a national level and in the field of statutory and/or voluntary sector.
• Is empathetic, strategic, emotional and has analytical skills, and able to act as a ‘critical friend’ in supporting and challenging people and institutions to help improve their racial justice focus, practice and arrangements.
• Has a relevant academic or professional qualification.
• Has an understanding of the structure of the Church of England and an appreciation for the role that faith plays in the context of racial justice.

The successful candidate will be a senior leader, with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.   

Please note: Experience of church structures and practices, either professionally or personally, are neither a barrier nor a qualification required for this role. However, the candidate must be in sympathy with the aims and work of the Church of England.

The AC is due to be replaced by CENS in 2-3 years’ time, and the role of the RJP will be reviewed once CENS is established.

About the role:

About this opportunity

As Voice 21 embarks on its ambitious next five-year strategy, we are looking to strengthen our team with a talented and ambitious Fundraising Manager. Your role will support the Head of Fundraising, CEO and wider team to develop new sources of high value support for Voice 21, working flexibly across trusts and foundations, corporate and philanthropic fundraising.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a knack for identifying funding opportunities and discovering new prospects. With excellent research, communication and relationship-building skills, you’ll work collaboratively with senior colleagues to strengthen our pipeline and drive long term growth in voluntary income. You’ll also contribute your ideas and initiative to develop and deliver compelling engagement opportunities for current and potential supporters, and lead on reporting impact to funders. Ultimately the post-holder is expected to grow in this role, to manage their own portfolio of high value donors. 

You’ll be joining the fundraising team at an exciting time as we look to build out the function in the coming years. The Head of Fundraising has been in post just over a year, and has put solid foundations in place to support long term growth. With a healthy pipeline already developed for the current and next financial year, you’ll have plenty of lead time to find your feet, with a realistic (shared) fundraising target of securing c.£500K of new voluntary income in 2027. There is significant untapped potential in fundraising for Voice 21. This is a great opportunity for an adaptable, proactive fundraiser to make their mark, gaining experience and developing expertise across high value streams. 

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop a qualified pipeline of trust/foundation and corporate prospects to ensure we achieve voluntary income targets in 2027/28 and beyond. 

• Draft winning funding bids and support the Head of Fundraising and/or CEO to develop compelling proposals and/or pitches. 

• Support and manage the CEO to lead relationships with funders and prospects.

• Lead on managing the funder reporting cycle and ensuring we deliver on our funding agreements, producing timely and inspiring impact reports.

• Drive awareness and understanding of fundraising internally by making connections with colleagues across the organisation and working collaboratively to support achieving fundraising goals. 

• Maintain the quality of data in the fundraising team CRM (Salesforce), managing contacts and pipelines through the database and producing accessible reports on fundraising performance and forecasts. 

Essential knowledge and skills

• Previous high value fundraising experience (trusts and foundations, corporates or philanthropy), with a track record of successfully securing significant donations and achieving income targets.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain a varied workload, deliver to deadlines, and successfully manage multiple work streams and projects.

• Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the confidence and evidenced ability to be able to nurture and maintain successful relationships with high value external stakeholders and senior colleagues. 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to translate complex projects and/or ideas into accessible and persuasive narratives that inspire and motivate. 

• The instincts and initiative to spot and seize fundraising opportunities; with the resilience, flexibility and tenacity to guide long term fundraising activities through to successful outcomes.

Where you’ll work: All Voice 21 staff work remotely and this is a home-based role. Regular travel to our central London office (by Victoria station) is expected for meetings. Regular travel to visit our projects in schools and/or to meet funders will also be expected. Occasional overnight stays may be required too. Voice 21 pays travel and accommodation expenses. The package of salary and expenses will be considered when agreeing a starting salary with the successful candidate. 

Contract: Permanent, subject to successful probation review after three months.

Do you have expertise in information management, data governance, and GDPR compliance? Do you have experience developing and delivering data services that support organisational goals and compliance? 

They are looking to recruit an experienced Information Management and GDPR Lead to drive best practices in data governance, privacy, and compliance across our client. This role will develop and manage a data protection service that provides guidance, tools, and resources to help our clients handle personal and non-personal data securely and effectively. You will oversee GDPR compliance, privacy notices, data-sharing agreements, and third-party processing, ensuring a consistent approach across the federation. 

Alongside being their DPO, you will provide specialist support on areas such as subject access requests (SARs), monitor emerging legislation, develop and maintain template agreements, and ensure our client have access to legal expertise via external contractors. A key part of the role will be horizon scanning to keep our client informed and prepared for upcoming regulatory changes, which will include thinking about the governance of artificial intelligence for our client and federation. You will also support shared data services, including the data lake, and help align CRM systems and third-party platforms with compliance requirements. Additionally you will monitor our clients risk exposure and compliance. We expect around 30/50% of the role will be supporting them, with the other up to 70% providing support and consultancy to the Trusts. 

This role is critical in embedding a solid data culture, ensuring Trusts have the right processes and tools to manage their data responsibly, effectively, and in alignment with evolving legal and regulatory frameworks. 

You are an experienced information management and data protection professional with a deep understanding of GDPR and data governance. You have a track record of managing data protection services, providing expert guidance on privacy, compliance, and best practices. You are confident in interpreting and implementing data protection legislation, supporting teams to embed robust information management processes, and ensuring compliance across a complex federated organisation. 

You are skilled in horizon scanning, keeping ahead of emerging data regulations and risks, and ensuring our client remain compliant and proactive in response to legislative changes. You are comfortable developing template agreements, privacy notices, and data-sharing policies, ensuring consistency and compliance across multiple Trusts. 

With excellent communication and problem-solving skills, you can translate complex legal and technical requirements into clear, practical guidance. You have experience working across teams, building trust and engagement, and delivering training to improve data literacy and compliance awareness. 

You thrive in collaborative environments, working with colleagues, legal advisors, and external experts to ensure The Wildlife Trusts’ approach to data protection is effective, ethical, and legally sound. You are also adaptable, ready to support new data initiatives, such as the development of a data service and governance of the data lake.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll be leading of team of four, including two Climate Action Officers, an Impact Communications Officer and a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. You’ll use your project management skills to co-ordinate and implement the Village Green programme, overseeing the delivery of activities, finances, marketing material and monitoring and evaluation work. You will work closely with our programme partners to maintain strong governance and build connections with our wider stakeholders to amplify the impact of climate action efforts.
Part of your role will be overseeing the co-design elements of the programme, ensuring community engagement is inclusive, impactful and innovative. You’ll also support with the wider VCSE sector in North Yorkshire, offering guidance on climate action initiatives and commissioning external expertise to deliver key elements of the programme.

We are seeking candidates with all-round excellent project management skills, who can lead a team whilst overseeing the core elements of the programme. Ideally, you’ll understand climate issues and have a commitment to advancing sustainability efforts. You’ll have experience of monitoring, evaluation, and stakeholder collaboration, working with funders to share valuable insights.

About the role

We're looking for an Executive Administrator to join our central office team, reporting to the Director of Finance and Resource. Purpose of This Role: 

This is a new, pivotal strategic role to shape future policy and practice in how faith communities support social prescribing for the benefit of local communities. Building on the emerging body of research around the connection between faith and health, this role will take the lead at a national level influencing, shaping and convening partners to unlock and unleash the significant resources of faith groups in contributing towards holistic healthcare delivered within the community.

The purpose of this role is to lead and co-ordinate NASP’s national work on social prescribing with partners across the faith sector and enable a better understanding of how to work effectively with faith communities through social prescribing, and the role that faith and belief plays in supporting good health and wellbeing. The role will work to improve accessibility of community support through social prescribing. The role would have a particular emphasis on access and health inequalities due to faith groups’ reach into deprived communities and ethnic minority communities.

The role sits in the National Leads team and will work alongside colleagues leading on the key areas of the natural environment, physical activity, historic environment, arts and culture, children and young people and older people.

Person Specification: 

Role Overview: 

• Act as the faith lead within NASP, being the point of contact and key advocate for faith communities’ involvement in social prescribing

• Represent and develop faith groups’ engagement in NASP’s existing activities, programmes and events in a similar capacity to the other area leads

Experience & Knowledge:

• Map current tools, resources, guides and evidence and publish a ‘one stop shop’ online to enable better commissioning and delivery.

• Build consensus on the key policies required for the scale and spread of social prescribing for faith communities across stakeholders; a joint vision of ‘good faith-based SP’. 

• Identify and shape partnership opportunities to secure additional funding and resources to help build capacity to enable future social prescribing activity to better support people’s health and wellbeing outcomes.

• Enable awareness raising, shared learning, training and best practice within the faith sector and with other key social prescribing sectors.

• Budget Management - including day to day management, raising and processing payments and reporting.

The Role
