Philanthropy and Engagement Associate

Role Introduction

This is an exciting opportunity for an early career development professional to devise and manage an ambitious fundraising and engagement strategy for regular and annual donors thus helping to create a sustainable culture of philanthropy at Eton. 

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Philanthropy & Engagement Associate will be responsible for the execution and management of a comprehensive regular and annual giving programme, including the coordination and oversight of supporting initiatives in the areas of donor relations, development services and stewardship. 

As a crucial and integral part of the College’s development team, the Philanthropy & Engagement Associate will be an innovative and skilled development professional with demonstrable experience of best practice in regular and annual giving techniques.

Main Duties

• Work with the Director of Development and Executive Director of Communications, Engagement and Development to create and implement a highly ambitious and sustainable regular and annual giving strategy in support of the College’s short, medium, and long-term vision.  
• Be responsible for the day-to-day management of regular and annual giving activities.
• Prepare and manage detailed plans for the execution of appeals including digital, direct mail and/or personal solicitations.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure rigorous gift management administrations systems and accurate maintenance of prospect data.
• Manage follow-up action when pledges and gifts are received including ensuring that supporters are appropriately recognised and stewarded.
• Conduct data analysis to understand donor behaviour and prevailing themes and trends and develop data driven annual giving strategies.
• Support fundraising strategy through the implementation of strong support systems, and day-to-day administrative practices. 
• Ensure all fundraising activities undertaken in support of the College are performed to the highest standards and in accordance with best practice as established by professional bodies such as CASE, IDPE and the Institute for Fundraising. 
• Ensure that all activities comply fully with the relevant Data Protection and any other legislation in the UK and overseas.
• Work with external stakeholders, volunteers, and other supporters to maximise their relationships and networks. 
• Produce timely, relevant, and accurate reports on progress and projections on all development activities. 
• Maintain knowledge of best practice in fundraising and related matters, refreshing skills as necessary 
• Carry out other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Director of Development and Executive Director of Communications, Engagement and Development. 
• Support the delivery of the College’s charitable vision, by attending events and presentations and acting as a strong ambassador for Eton.

The Ideal Candidate

Working Pattern

• Your working hours will be 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Salesforce Administator

Role purpose

As an experienced Salesforce Administrator with strong development and project delivery skills, you'll be the go-to expert for maintaining, improving, and scaling our Salesforce platform to support service delivery, reporting, and insight. You'll work closely with colleagues across teams to optimise systems, support data-driven decision making, and contribute to wider organisational impact.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities

· Own and manage the Salesforce support function, triaging and resolving tickets, analysing issues, and escalating as needed, while keeping users informed via our internal support system.

· Lead the delivery of Salesforce projects and enhancements, including scoping requirements, managing timelines, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring successful rollouts.

· Collaborate with the Business Analyst to design and build insightful dashboards, custom reports, and data visualisations to support decision-making across programmes and services.

· Configure and maintain all aspects of the Salesforce platform including custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, page layouts, profiles, permission sets, and user management.

· Maintain data integrity by managing imports, exports, de-duplication, and regular audits to ensure clean, consistent, and reliable information across the system.

· Conduct system testing, regression testing, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) for all Salesforce updates and enhancements, including those from seasonal releases.

· Support the creation and integration of FormAssembly forms with automated workflows and ensure secure, accessible data capture processes.

· Develop and maintain up-to-date technical, configuration, and process documentation to support internal knowledge transfer and business continuity.

· Deliver onboarding and ongoing training for users, run workshops, and provide tailored guidance to build confidence and promote effective system use.

· Prepare and deliver data reports for internal and external stakeholders, including quarterly performance reports for funders, local authorities, and programme partners.

Person Specification

Essential skills and experience

· Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator with hands-on configuration expertise.

· Demonstrable experience managing Salesforce projects from concept to delivery.

· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable working with both technical and non-technical teams.

· Strong understanding of agile project management principles and tools (e.g., Microsoft Planner, Jira, Trello).

· Advanced reporting and dashboard design using native Salesforce tools.

· Experience with Salesforce declarative development (e.g., Flow, Process Builder, validation rules).

· Proven ability to document systems and processes clearly for both technical and end-user audiences.

· Understanding of data protection principles and best practice in data governance.

· Comfortable with change management, user training, and system adoption strategies.

You’ll use your expertise to ensure policies are evidence-based and compelling, driving key objectives to bring privately owned empty homes back into use, ideally as affordable housing. A key part of your role will be leading on the publication of the Partnership’s impact report and collaborating with the Scottish Government, sector partners, and local authorities. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, offering consultation and guidance to local authorities, while developing practical strategies to increase affordable housing supply by bringing empty homes back into use.

Your leadership will also extend to supporting your team, providing management cover in the absence of the National Manager, and contributing to media opportunities. Strong communication, project management, and policy analysis skills are essential, alongside an ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external partners. About the team

The Scottish Empty Homes Partnership is hosted by Shelter Scotland and has been funded by the Scottish Government since 2010. The current funding commitment runs until end of March 2026.

Part of an award-winning Communication & Policy Department, our SEHP is a Scottish Government funded project aimed at enabling private sector empty homes to be brought back into use across Scotland. About the Role

Through line management of your team and in collaboration with partners, you will ensure that the Youth Zone is accessed by all young people who need it the most. Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Monitoring and Results Measurement Manager to join our team in the UK, Nigeria or Uganda. 

The key purpose of this role is to manage the reporting, visualisation, interpretation and use of project monitoring data through Malaria Consortium’s global Project and Results database (PReS), working with colleagues across the organisation to ensure they receive the correct training on the system, maintaining standards of data reporting and use, and analysing project data to monitor progress against organisational strategic targets. The role will work closely with Country and Regional Directors and Country Technical Coordinators to interpret and use data for monitoring and strategic decision-making purposes.

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data analytics or field with strong focus on data management and use
• Demonstrable experience in programme monitoring and results measurement with ability to write log frames, translate log frames into project monitoring practice (i.e. through the development of tools and practice) and manage oversight processes
• Extensive experience of DHIS2 and/or other data management platforms

The Active Wellbeing Society (TAWS) is a community benefit society and cooperative working with communities to identify, mitigate and remove barriers that prevent them from living active and connected lives.

In 2024, TAWS was given the opportunity pilot a Surplus Hub Project at Birmingham Wholesale Market, where edible waste food destined for anaerobic digestion can be diverted to human consumption. To purpose of this role is to maximise the amount of surplus food available to the Food Justice Network groups via the Birmingham Wholesale Markets.

Food Redistribution Manager:

The Food Justice Network is a network of around 300 independent partner organisations, all of who are providing support across the city. FJN Partners offer a range of services from foodbanks to community cafes, to community pantries and warm spaces, all delivering vital support to some of Birmingham's most vulnerable citizens.

Your role will be the sourcing and procuring farming surplus and collective buying of fresh produce for the Food Justice Network. Part of this opportunity will be facilitating the set-up of a city-wide network to make surplus food redistribution more coordinated and effective.

There is already a significant amount of surplus food redistributed across the city and lots of work going on in terms of reducing waste in businesses but we know that sometimes unexpected surplus food arises and not every food business is plugged in to the surplus food network.

Alongside the core of the role, you will also be managing two to three people who you will be working in conjunction with but on separate projects.

This will provide less reasons for businesses to waste food with a strong, well connected and promoted network.

• Negotiate collective purchasing of fresh produce to reduce food waste.
• Build relationships with growers to redistribute food through the Food Justice Network and beyond, while identifying and improving local surplus food donation processes.
• Coordinate surplus food collection and collaborate with the Food Justice Network Engagement Officer for effective distribution.
• Partner with Xcess, a national surplus food network, to oversee haulage of surplus food into Birmingham.
• Support the development of a city-wide network to improve coordination collaboration and efficiency in surplus food redistribution.
• Work closely in partnership with and provide cover for the Surplus Food Lead at the Markets.
