The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Lead is responsible for overseeing income generation from corporate partners and growing high-value support from major donors to fund the vital work of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

This newly created role will develop and implement strategies and plans across two areas:

• Oversee a team focused on building and maintaining corporate partnerships with businesses across our six-county operating region, covering Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands, and Worcestershire.
• Engage major donors and secure transformative gifts both on an individual basis as well as part of a bespoke programme.  

The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Lead will be responsible for ensuring effective prospecting and exceptional supporter stewardship, maximising income generation in the short, medium and long term.

The role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced high-value fundraiser to work in close collaboration with our CEO and senior leadership team, and Chair and wider board of Trustees, to develop these two key income streams.

Job summary
 
Reporting to the head of growth and sitting within the engagement team you will:

• recruit volunteers by promoting Re-engage’s services,
• develop effective relationships with new and existing referrers such as social prescribers and community link workers
• identify and cultivate new, innovative referral pathways to connect with a broader demographic of seniors experiencing social isolation and loneliness
• support the wider Re-engage team in the delivery of our grant funded projects

 
Engagement officer tasks and requirements
 

• Growing and developing our network of referral partners, including social prescribers and link workers, ensuring that Re-engage's work is promoted to people aged 75 who are experiencing social isolation and loneliness.
• Partnering with communities to create regular, volunteer led, social gatherings for people aged 75
• Utilise Re-engage's CRM (OPUS) to inform evidence-based, data-driven decision-making to develop effective engagement plans.
• Working closely with the service delivery team ensuring that the right people are recruited and engaged into the right roles, in the right place, and at the right times.
• Collaborating with the communications team ensuring the widest possible publicity for the region’s needs through media and social media opportunities, local press, radio, TV, and online forums.
• Liaising closely with the fundraising team delivering against recruitment targets linked to grants.
• Working with the fundraising team on proposals and grant applications using regional knowledge, identifying local need, and collecting case studies.
• Identifying speaking and presenting opportunities ensuring that Re-engage's work is promoted to referrers.
• Working effectively as part of a regional team, maintaining, and growing all Re-engage services.
• Joint accountability, with colleagues in the region, for the engagement of older people and recruitment of volunteers into Re-engage's portfolio of services

About the role 

You will ensure we deliver high quality legal services and manage our Legal Aid Contract, with your main focus being to manage and supervise the legal teams who are advocating for clients with housing issues, as well as bringing about systemic change. You will be dealing with personnel issues, providing professional support and supervision to your team as well as carrying your own caseload of housing litigation.

Contributing to the strategic direction of Shelter legal services nationally will be an important aspect of the role too, as will taking the lead on delivering strategic change aligned to Shelter’s strategy and ensuring Legal aid contract requirements and performance targets are met.

You will be able to identify test case opportunities to address systemic bad practice and so achieve change for a greater number of people and will work closely with the Head of Legal Services, the Hub Management Team and teams within Communications, Policy and Campaigns and Business Development. As a key member of the management team, you will also get to play your part in the management of our offices, including attending management team meetings and collaborating with other teams.

About you

You will be experienced in working under a housing legal aid contract, court advocacy, carrying your own caseload as well as managing and supervising others. You will have a minimum of 4 years post qualification legal practice experience, have supervisor status and have substantial knowledge of housing and homelessness law. Independent File Reviews, time recording and good case management will also be part of the role. You are able to carry out research and policy analysis in the areas of housing, homeless and welfare law, produce reports and presentations.

Salford Foodbank provides emergency food parcels to local people who are referred to us in crisis. Food is donated, sorted and packed at our warehouse, then delivered to 7 centres across Salford, where teams of our volunteers greet people as they pick up their food parcels. In addition to food – visitors can access support and advice across our centres to help them maximise their income and ensure they are less likely to need to use the foodbank again.

You’ll be joining a friendly team of 6 part-time staff and approx. 80 volunteers, all dedicated to supporting people living in poverty. We are part of Trussell, a nationwide network of foodbanks.

Rate of pay: £13 per hour

 Full-time / part-time: Part time – 27.5 hours per week (ideally 9am – 3pm Monday- Friday. Some flexibility available)

Temporary / permanent: 2-year fixed contract, with continuation of contract based on funding

Location: Salford Foodbank warehouse and office, 4 Kansas Avenue, Media City, Salford, M50 2GL

 Overall responsibility of the job: Co-ordinate the pool of over 80 skilled volunteers in a variety of roles across the Foodbank operation. Welcome volunteers, arrange appropriate training and ensure volunteers feel valued and informed. General admin duties within the office setting will include welcoming visitors, accepting donations and answering phone enquiries.

Specific responsibilities around the volunteer coordinator role

· Manage all volunteers across the Foodbank operation – including warehouse volunteers, centre-based volunteers and drivers.

· Welcome teams of warehouse volunteers – teams of approx 6 regular volunteers each day for a 2 hour shift.

· Welcome teams of ad-hoc corporate volunteers.

· Motivate volunteers in their roles.

· Manage day-to-day rotas and volunteer availability and ensure volunteer records are kept up to date.

· Arrange volunteer training tailored to each role – to include eg health and safety, manual handling, safeguarding, conflict management, signposting.

· Support volunteers to share their experiences to help promote the work of the foodbank.

Specific responsibilities around the admin assistant role;

Based in the foodbank warehouse and office this role will include a variety of admin duties, alongside other colleagues;

· Greet and thank members of the community (individuals, schools, church groups etc) as they drop off food donations.

· Answer phone and email queries – this could be from foodbank clients, referral partners, donors or corporate supporters.

· Welcome foodbank clients – be understanding and empathetic to their needs, direct them to our Foodbank centres across Salford and explain how to access our services.

· Be familiar with other local food providers and charitable organisations across Salford to signpost foodbank clients appropriately.

· Attend team meetings and training sessions.

· The staff team is a small team so you may be asked to get involved in other tasks to assist your colleagues and provide cover when others are away.

Sussex Emmaus is a 58 bed supported accommodation project. We offer low to medium support for those who have experienced or may be at risk of experiencing homelessness. Wilmslow Youth is a charity serving young people and families in our local town through a variety of community initiatives and therapeutic services. We first opened our doors in 2016, and now, through our drop-in youth café, counselling services, workshops and support groups, we work with hundreds of young people and their families each year.

We are looking for a dynamic, committed and innovative person who brings visionary leadership, creativity, energy and strong youth engagement skills to supporting young people’s development.
 
The post holder will develop and deliver a varied programme of activities and groups that help facilitate friendships, build community and offer positive life experiences. The role primarily involves overseeing and developing our youth café, including overseeing the fantastic volunteer workforce who support it. It also involves leading our community drop-in sessions for young people who are disengaged from school due to mental ill-health.
 
Secondarily, the successful applicant will support our wider work, such as our primary school transition project, which delivers small group and class work to over 300 year 6 students to aid their transition to secondary school. The successful applicant may also deliver some informal one-to-one mentoring support to students in the local high school.
 
We’re looking for a visionary, relationship-oriented person, who is drawn to people, empathic and authentic in their relationships. These qualities reflect who we are as an organisation: real, relational and responsive to our community.
 
It’s so important to us to find the right person for this role, so we’re open to offering it on a full or part-time basis, from 3 days up to 5 days per week. The role will require a minimum of working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as standard, plus Friday evenings during school term time.

This post will be responsible for supporting the Financial Controller in all aspects of the financial management of the charity. This post will take an active role in supporting both overseas and UK staff with financial management. The post will also be responsible for producing monthly/quarterly project finance reports both internally and externally. Job summary
 
Reporting to the head of growth and sitting within the engagement team you will:

• recruit volunteers by promoting Re-engage’s services,
• develop effective relationships with new and existing referrers such as social prescribers and community link workers
• identify and cultivate new, innovative referral pathways to connect with a broader demographic of seniors experiencing social isolation and loneliness
• support the wider Re-engage team in the delivery of our grant funded projects

 
Engagement officer tasks and requirements

• Growing and developing our network of referral partners, including social prescribers and link workers, ensuring that Re-engage's work is promoted to people aged 75 who are experiencing social isolation and loneliness.
• Partnering with communities to create regular, volunteer led, social gatherings for people aged 75
• Utilise Re-engage's CRM (OPUS) to inform evidence-based, data-driven decision-making to develop effective engagement plans.
• Working closely with the service delivery team ensuring that the right people are recruited and engaged into the right roles, in the right place, and at the right times.
• Collaborating with the communications team ensuring the widest possible publicity for the region’s needs through media and social media opportunities, local press, radio, TV, and online forums.
• Liaising closely with the fundraising team delivering against recruitment targets linked to grants.
• Working with the fundraising team on proposals and grant applications using regional knowledge, identifying local need, and collecting case studies.
• Identifying speaking and presenting opportunities ensuring that Re-engage's work is promoted to referrers.
• Working effectively as part of a regional team, maintaining, and growing all Re-engage services.
• Joint accountability, with colleagues in the region, for the engagement of older people and recruitment of volunteers into Re-engage's portfolio of services
• Carrying out any other reasonable tasks assigned to you by your line manager.
• You’ll be a proactive, solution-focused person with passion and skill for networking and building relationships. You’ll be experienced at building and maintaining effective relationships with referrers and social prescribers and will be a flexible, hands-on team player, who will deliver Re-engage's strategic objectives, values, behaviours, and working practices.

• Full driving license and own car preferred as this post will require regional travel as and when required and the occasional overnight stay.
