• Supporting the expansion and transformation of our client advice services by ensuring operational service procedures are established, embedded and monitored.
• Exploring, implementing and enabling office and hybrid-working modernisations, including supporting senior members of the operational team to implement business innovations around hybrid-working software, HR systems, and integration of technology (possibly including AI) into our work.
• Alleviating administrative burdens so far as possible on our team delivering advice to clients, helping us to make an even greater impact on our community.
• Contributing to the design and development of robust policies that relate to office and outreach coordination, HR support and budgeting.
• Supporting our supervisory team in their management of people and relevant office administration duties.
• Maintaining and developing office resources, including our office manual, IT equipment, and shared online and offline documents.
• Supporting the trustee board and senior members of the leadership team in the delivery of their strategic goals and day-to-day administration.

The role is full time, with one day a week based from our National Ministry Centre in Coventry.

The role will involve working some Sundays, when church opportunities occur.

To be suitable for this role you will need to good networking leads within a Christian context. You will enjoy getting to know people and prayerfully nurturing relationships. You will have a clear delivery and the ability to present at, lead or on occasion take a church service. The Spear Centre Manager will work as part of the River Church staff team to oversee the delivery of Spear—an employability programme equipping and empowering unemployed 16-24 year-olds to overcome barriers to employment and turn their lives around by moving into sustainable work or further education.

Hours: Part-Time, 4 days; 9.30am-5.30pm with some out-of-hours work needed for events such as our Spear Celebrations

Key Responsibilities

Oversight of the Spear Programme

Spear Foundation is a 4-week initial phase, consisting of 2 group sessions plus a 1:1 with each trainee per week, in which we coach young people around skills and mindsets to support them in returning to work or education, and equip them with the skills to stay there. ​

• Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Assistant Coach.
• Oversee all aspects of the programme coordination and delivery.
• Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report to Resurgo and the church on enrolment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees, as well as their ongoing progress.

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Build and implement a strategy for developing and maintaining relationships with local referral partners to build the profile of the Spear programme within Ipswich and ensure the young people who would benefit from the programme are able to access it.
• Steward relationships with young people after initial point of contact, to encourage enrolment and ensure a full cohort is enrolled for each programme.

Line management and training

• Manage the Spear Assistant Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development.
• Work with and be managed by River Church staff locally, and by a Church Partnerships Manager from Resurgo on a national level, to ensure the flourishing of the Spear centre, its team and young people, and to ensure the fulfilment of our shared mission in Ipswich.
• Work with and report to Resurgo teams on KPIs, and use outcomes data to maximise the effectiveness of the programme.

Supporting River Church’s mission and ministry

• Establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement of church members and to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme, though it is not a requirement of the role for the successful candidate to join River Church as their worshipping community if they are already part of another local church
• Work with the Head of Operations and the Fundraising Assistant to prepare grant funding applications for Spear Ipswich, and provide timely grant reporting.
• Keep the River Church congregation updated on the Spear programme to ensure it is a seamless part of the church’s missional work.

Friends of Moorfields

The Friends of Moorfields is a registered charity supporting the patients and staff at Moorfields Eye Hospital, a world centre of excellence for the specialist treatment of eye diseases.

The Friends provide a range of services to support the work of the hospital by managing the volunteer service, hospital shop and patient information hub. 

The Position

The Shop Supervisor is an essential role, responsible for supporting the management of the Friends shop at Moorfields City Road, including customer service and cash management.

The post-holder will be an all-rounder; someone who is comfortable working on their own initiative, is well organised, numerate, and who enjoys the challenges of supporting a small and friendly team. They will be supported to grow and develop in this role, through an active approach to training and development, and through a positive and empowering working environment.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Supervise the Friends Shop for 15 hours per week (11am - 2pm daily), plus full-time cover when Business Development Manager is absent due to annual leave or illness.

2. Support the Business Development Manager in all aspects of the smooth running of the shop, including promoting the shop as central source of information about ‘The Friends’.

Across all of our products our Product and Systems Management team cover the following areas:

• Being fully responsible for the provision and management of the system
• Owning the list of user requirements. These are known as product backlog items (PBIs) and are drawn from user group meetings/discussions. These PBIs are then scheduled for build and release. 
• Manage the relationship with any external support companies for the relevant products and interconnected products and systems including accounting online, bank checking and deduping systems.
• Manage the data cleanliness, accessibility, availability and retention in accordance with our data governance and security policies particularly the information and data management framework. And develop and maintain automated processing of bulk data.
• Enshrine continuous improvement into the use and development of our Products.

Our use of Product Management comprises of all of our critical business systems (Finance, HR, Intranet, Microsoft end user applications).

Our Head of Product and Systems Management plays a crucial role in the development and delivery of our Product and Systems Management. This role is also responsible for defining and delivering the Product and Systems Management team’s strategy/roadmap and ensure they are delivered. 

For this role we’re looking for:

• Expert level experience of managing a Systems Support Team
• Expert experience of Product Management
• Experience of managing external stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers effectively

The purpose of your role

Key responsibilities

• Establish yourself within Police Now as a source of expert political advice and guidance in handling sensitive issues and relationships, working to protect and enhance our reputation.
• Be curious about police reform, be actively contributing on external thinking about this and ensure Police Now colleagues are kept abreast of key developments.

• You will have a strong understanding of Westminster, Whitehall and the Mayoralities and build good working relationships with key decision-makers. Some experience of media handling around public policy issues is desirable as you will work closely with the communications manager at Police Now.
• Essential skills are the ability to write well, communicate effectively and be confident in engaging senior stakeholders. A demonstrable interest or background in policing or related public services would be of assistance in working with internal stakeholders.

Specialist Child to Parent Violence delivery:

• Advocate for the rights of children to be respected, heard and protected.

• Be responsible and accountable for working with Team leader and/or Service Manager and Advanced practitioner to ensure risk is reviewed on a weekly basis.
•  Attend monthly risk review and practice development meetings with Team leader or Advanced practitioner to ensure effective risk management procedures are applied at all times.
• Attend training sessions to enhance their delivery and understanding of NVR.
• Be personally accountable for the completion of assessments, pre and post questionnaires, and End of Intervention reports, and ensure they are to a high standard.
• Provide support and consultancy to other professionals to ensure appropriateness of referrals  and improve understanding on NVR and CBT techniques and working with families (parents and children and young people.
•  Ensure effective planning for the delivery of each intervention in advance of the session.
• Partake and pass all relevant NVR and other child, young people  and parent centred training to undertake this specialist work.
• Deliver community training as required.

We’re looking for a IT Service Owner- (Fundraising) to lead the way in ensuring our fundraising systems and technology are optimised, effective, and aligned with our long-term strategy.

In this role, you’ll own the end-to-end delivery of fundraising technology solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to shape and implement a service that supports our fundraising teams, enhances supporter engagement, and drives revenue growth.

 Lead the strategy, development, and optimisation of fundraising technology

• Work with stakeholders to ensure our systems support fundraising excellence
• Ensure our fundraising tech is scalable, secure, and future-proof
• Identify and mitigate risks while ensuring best-in-class data governance
• Keep on top of emerging fundraising technologies and digital trends
• Align fundraising technology with Finance, Delivery and People systems and overall Enterprise Architecture

About Us: 

Kiran Support Services is a specialist South Asian organisation that provides refuge accommodation and outreach support to Asian women fleeing all forms of VAWG and harmful practises. Our services include refuge accommodation, resettlement and outreach support, advice and advocacy services, counselling and immigration advice, and casework support.

We are a small team dedicated to providing intersectional, culturally specific support to vulnerable women and their children through high-quality services delivered in Asian languages tailored to individual needs.

We are recruiting for a South Asian female Immigration Adviser (OISC level 3) / qualified solicitor, to support women in our refuges that have an insecure immigration status.

About You: 

You will be required to manage a complex caseload and will support securing the immigration status of service users in our refuges in the London Borough of Waltham Forest and the London Borough of Brent.

You should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the legal field and in areas such as immigration law, family law, domestic violence and abuse, welfare benefits and housing, and providing legal advice and advocacy to South Asian/ BME women who have experienced domestic abuse.

You will have up-to-date working knowledge of Home Office policies relating to domestic abuse, including the Migration Victims of Domestic Abuse Concession (MVDAC).

Fluency in at least one South Asian language is essential (Urdu/ Punjabi preferred)

To help us achieve this, we are looking for a passionate and dynamic Business Relationship Manager to join our income generation team, focusing on North West England particularly Manchester and suburban areas. This role will build and nurture relationships with businesses and organisations in order to generate funding. 

As our new Business Relationship Manager, you will cultivate existing business contacts while identifying and securing new introductions and opportunities. Your role will focus on building strong relationships with organisations to maximise fundraising potential and ensure long-term financial support. Representing the charity with enthusiasm, you will promote our work and foster lasting partnerships to achieve income targets. 

Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our new Income Generation Advisory Board, comprising of business leaders and CEO’s who can support you with high-level introductions, leads, and strategic insights. 

Ideally, we are looking for someone with proven experience in fundraising preferably in the charity or non-profit sector however, applications will be considered from candidates who work in a similar role outside of the charity sector.
