Charity People are delighted to be partnering with the DHL UK Foundation, a registered charity working in close partnership with the DHL businesses in the UK to support underserved young people in the UK, to help recruit a proactive and driven Programme Officer.

Through strategic grants to aligned charity partners and a skills-based employee volunteering programme, the DHL UK Foundation supports underserved young people (aged 11-25) to access decent employment and thrive in their careers. The Programme Officer is a newly created role to respond to the needs of the new strategy. They will manage strategic charity partnerships and deliver programmes and projects that support youth employability across the UK. Whilst managing partners and projects, this role will report on impact data, communicate the purpose and impact of DHL UK Foundation, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

* Partnership Management: Project manage, support and build strong relationships with strategic charity partners to maximise the impact of grant funding, monitor progress and performance against agreed metrics and prepare reports.
* Project Management: Deliver projects that leverage DHL's expertise and resources to support charity partners and the young people they serve; support the employee volunteering programme, GoTeach, to ensure it meets objectives and delivers impact.
* Data Reporting: Collate, analyse, and present impact data to demonstrate the effectiveness of partners and programmes, working with an external evaluator, and prepare reports and dashboards for the DHL UK Foundation's Board, DHL employees and external stakeholders.
* Communications: confidently communicate the DHL UK Foundation's purpose and impact through presentations, reports, case studies and digital content, and represent the DHL UK Foundation to the DHL business through presenting at meetings and events, both virtually and in person.

The Programme Officer will have experience working in partnership with charities and managing projects in the charity or corporate responsibility sector. You will have a passion for making a difference to the lives of underserved young people and be able to demonstrate strong relationship management and communication skills. You will have an analytical approach with data reporting experience, and strong organisational skills and proficient in utilising Microsoft suite including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. You will be able to think critically to innovate, and problem solve and be able to work independently and collaboratively, both in the office and remotely.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of youth employability and social mobility in the UK, experience of communicating and presenting to stakeholders in the corporate sector, familiarity with CRM or impact measurement tools and experience with corporate volunteering.

The role is hybrid so you will be based from home for part of the week but you will be happy and committed to travel to DHL UK Foundation offices 2-3 times a week in either Staines, London or Milton Keynes, either by car or by public transport. Travel expenses are covered but you will need to live in reasonable commutable distance to one of these locations (ideally Staines or London). Access to a car, whilst not essential, would be helpful for you for this role.

About this key role

You will work with participants to conduct a comprehensive initial assessment of their employment and wider needs, and then co-develop and regularly review action plans, supporting individuals to carry out actions through one-to-one and group motivational advice and guidance.  We will also count on you to lead a team of Peer Advisors and Volunteers to deliver flexible and supportive services to individuals with complex needs, aimed at improving their employability and helping them transition into sustainable employment.

Shout Out UK (SOUK) is a UK-based award-winning political and media literacy organisation with nearly a decade of experience in delivering impactful educational campaigns. Our mission is to defend and amplify democracy by equipping individuals with the critical thinking skills needed to navigate the complex information landscape and engage as informed, active citizens. We have a strong track record of working with educators and young people across various contexts, and we are the secretariat for the UK’s All-Party Parliamentary Group for Political and Media Literacy.

The Position:

You will be joining our small, passionate NGO to lead our resource development. Reporting directly to the Head of Programmes, you will be tasked with developing and producing educational programmes and materials on topics such as Political & Media Literacy, counter-extremism, and online safety. This will involve ensuring resource related KPIs are met within budget and on time, alongside supporting our Head of Programmes in coordinating delivery of projects. Some projects may be handled by you directly at times. Projects and resources can vary from developing media literacy workshops for schools, creating digital assets for counter-extremism training and campaigns, to planning content for city-wide democratic engagement campaigns.

Our Women’s Respite is a vital service that provides safety, stability, and support for women with complex needs – from those escaping domestic abuse to those facing homelessness, mental health challenges, substance use, and trauma. 

As a Specialist Complex Needs Worker, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the lives of women who have experienced violence against women and girls (VAWG). Working within our accommodation service, you will support clients facing multiple disadvantage, ranging from complex needs to medium and lower levels of support, always tailoring your approach to each individual. What you will need to succeed

Now Teach is at a pivotal time in its strategic journey, following a hugely successful media and bridging fundraising campaign that has raised over £3m in new income for 2024-2026 and achieved 32 media mentions (15 national) and 2.5m PR views. We are now seeking to significantly grow our donor base and fundraised income and therefore are looking to recruit to this new role. We are seeking someone who can support the Director of Philanthropy and Communications to deliver our strategy to increase income through the recruitment of new donors and enable and deliver work with our current funders (primarily individuals and trusts). You’ll be the person to ensure they have an amazing experience as supporters of Now Teach.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Role overview 

This role will be varied and offer lots of opportunities to get stuck into managing relationships with high value donors. Both the CEO, and the Director of Fundraising and Communications will work to steward the relationships with our donors in person, while this role will lead on delivering high-quality preparation, proposals, reporting, and data management that underpin donor relationships. You will also contribute to building connections across teams and aligning fundraising activities with Now Teach’s wider strategy. 

You’ll deliver exciting and engaging communications and events which inspire our donors to continue to support our cause, as well as be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting so we can give supporters a great sense of the impact their donations make. This role will work on a combination of externally facing and internal projects and tasks and will be a great way to advance your career in fundraising.

In this role you will…

• Create and maintain a stewardship calendar of content, reports, and events to engage our donors, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities. 

• Write and produce proposals and applications for funding from major donors and trusts, in collaboration with programme and recruitment teams, championing user-centred thinking by representing participant and school impact in fundraising materials. 

• Write and produce reports with in-depth detail of what we have achieved as a result of the funding from our donors 

• Create an engaging termly supporter newsletter, sharing insights across the organisation to drive stronger engagement. 

• Manage and own the fundraising database, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and supporting colleagues to use data effectively. 

• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting of gifts 

• Ensure compliance with fundraising legislation, charity law and data protection legislation like GDPR

We are looking for someone who is passionate about raising crucial funds to ensure that Now Teachers, schools, partners, and the wider education system can realise the full potential of career changers in education.

You'll have an eye for detail and be able to deliver written communications to the highest standard, including working with our communications teams to develop and deliver engaging case studies and proposals for support. You’ll be happy working to deadlines, and spotting and responding creatively to opportunities that arise. You’ll be able to build strong external and internal relationships and enjoy the challenge of raising money to support our amazing work.

What you’ll need to succeed in this role (experience/qualifications etc) 

• Some experience of working in charities, ideally in education, and/ or  in fundraising 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• An ability to manage your own workload, prioritise tasks, multi-task and stay organised.

• Knowledge of fundraising legislation and best practices 

• An ability to work collaboratively with different teams and stakeholders

As a Housing Domestic Abuse Advocate, you will provide intervention, advocacy, and support to survivors of domestic abuse. Working within a fast-paced team, you will help empower women and ensure that the voice of survivors informs every stage of their journey towards improved safety. You will have your own caseload of survivors who hold social tenancies with local authorities or housing associations, and you will encourage them to engage with our service and ensure they have access to support. You will also co-ordinate the provision of multi-agency support which focuses on working with domestic abuse survivors to maintain their tenancies and prevent homelessness.

About You:

To be successful as the Domestic Abuse Housing Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:

You will bring solid experience of supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse in all its forms; coming from a sector with transferrable skills or possess a feminist/VAWG degree and be keen to learn and to train on the job. You will have a good understanding of violence against women and girls with a particular focus on the dynamics of domestic abuse (physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, so-called ‘honour-based violence’, forced marriage, stalking and harassment) and its impact on women, children, families, and communities. You will have proven skills and experience in conducting comprehensive assessments of needs and risk for survivors experiencing domestic abuse, including carrying out short risk management and safety planning. We will expect that you have experience in assessing the needs and safety of any children that women using the service may have and an understanding of the criminal justice system and relevant legislation with regard to legal and civil options, housing, benefits, matrimonial and children. Lastly you will bring your knowledge of safeguarding practice, procedures, and legislation.

With many skills and qualities to add to this role, if you have good IT literacy, data collection and monitoring these skills are maximised in your role. If you have experience or have been trained or are qualified in the fields related to substance misuse, criminal justice, law, social work or domestic abuse we would love to hear from you.
