Online Community
The Online Community is a peer to peer support network, provided by and for people living with cancer, facilitated by volunteer Community Champions in a safe online environment. As the only Macmillan platform with 24/7 support for people with cancer, open 365 days a year, and with over 80k members, the Online Community is all about fostering and facilitating connections between people, in an anonymous, safe way.
About the role
This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of working within online groups and communities to join our Online Community team to deliver and support high quality services online to people affected by cancer, and other key Macmillan audiences as well as drive peer to peer engagement within the online community.
You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting high quality service to the online community, supporting members and volunteers, driving engagement between members, moderating posts and online content and responding to help requests, to create a safe and supportive environment for all our members and volunteers. This role covers opening hours of 8am-8pm, 7 days per week on shift rotation, some parts of which will be unsupervised.
About you
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Experience and knowledge of working within online communities and social media
- Good written and verbal communication skills (including the ability to communicate directly with community members and volunteers as well as internally at different levels of the organisation and to different technical abilities)
- Experience of developing, managing and moderating online content
- Good IT skills with experience of setting up web pages, including basic grasp of HTML, use of a CMS or social publishing platform and image optimisation
- Experience of supporting and communicating with customers through email, online and over the phone

About the Role
The role involves working with sensitive and potentially traumatic subject matter and Occasional travel to attend meetings will be required.
As Witness Service Head of Volunteering, you will:
- Create and deliver a Witness Service mobilisation plan delivering the mobilisation project outcomes within the Witness Service volunteering strand.
- Develop and implement a volunteering strategy aligned to organisational and mobilisation priorities inclusive of diversity and equity goals.
- Update operational frameworks and formal volunteer policies.
- Manage risks and issues related to volunteering.

This is a strategic and creative role at the heart of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People’s national fundraising and engagement efforts. What will my main duties be?
Programme Management
- To oversee the IntoUniversity Boarding School Bursary Programme including recruitment of potential students and ongoing support of current boarders.
- To prepare the students and their families for Royal SpringBoard and school assessments as well as reparing for boarding school life.
- To plan and/or attend boarding school taster and pastoral visits across the UK.
- To create a calendar of out-of-boarding events and support for students and families to connect to their local centre, including centre visits and community hubs.
- Work with the Safeguarding Team to promote the wellbeing of students and respond to safeguarding concerns (additional training will be provided for this aspect of the role).

Dravet Syndrome UK (DSUK) is a small independent UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Dravet Syndrome. Dravet Syndrome is a rare neurological condition that affects around one in every 15,000 people in the UK. As well as experiencing severe, difficult-to-control seizures, children and adults with Dravet Syndrome have varying degrees of intellectual disability and a spectrum of associated conditions (known as ‘comorbidities’), which may include autism, ADHD, behaviours that challenge and difficulties with speech, mobility, eating and sleep.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Housing Support Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our dispersed refuge accommodation in Warwickshire.
You will be joining the Warwickshire Dispersed Safe Accommodation service. This service will provide emergency safe accommodation across Warwickshire with high-quality domestic abuse support, ‘by-and-for’ services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children. Housing Support Workers will work closely with the Floating Support Workers and Child Support Workers (who provide the personal support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children) to ensure that the emergency accommodation and support meets the whole range of survivors’ needs.
The post holder will be responsible for the Health and Safety and maintenance of emergency safe accommodation units in multiple 1–3-bedroom properties across Warwickshire. This will include the practical set up and maintenance of home furnishings and utilities in each property and the management of the cleaning and replacements required between each use of the accommodation unit.
The post holder will provide support to survivors fleeing domestic abuse around accessing housing benefit for the dispersed accommodation and support survivors with exploring and accessing move on accommodation.
The Housing Support Worker (HSW) will be responsible for ensuring that the properties will maintain Refuge’s accommodation standards and comply with all Health and Safety legislation and requirements.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

About the role
We’re looking for a Fundraising Engagement Manager with great personality and team ethic to join our Regional Fundraising team.
This is a role of variety, opportunity and innovation, and we are looking for someone who embraces change and constantly strives to achieve more.
You will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement’ team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver a legendary experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.
Bristol and Somerset is an area filled with some of our most committed supporters but there is still so much opportunity to grow corporate support across the counties. Our Social Workers support families from Bristol hospitals, so building relationships with these teams are a must.
