Campbell Rd Young Peoples service provides support and housing for 55 young people in Tower Hamlets that are either leaving care of affected by youth homelessness. The Support Worker role will be to manage a caseload of approx 7-10 young people.
This role's shift work on a 7 day rolling rota.

What you'll do:
- Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers
- Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
- Supporting key customers to set personalised goals in the form of a Support Plan
- Conducting regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
- Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
- Proactively manage risk and safety both in and outside of their physical living environment
- Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance where skills are not yet developed, to ensure that customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
- Proactive development of links with local statutory and voluntary organisations to provide a range of engagement opportunities for customers in the community
- Involving customers in the design, development and delivery of the service

Home-Start Barnet delivers early intervention programmes to families with young children, who have multiple needs and are struggling to cope with the challenges they face. Big Green Heart is looking for a trainer to help expand our practitioner base. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with teaching experience to use their professional skills in the charity sector in the vitally important area of mental health. Accredited practitioners may charge for their own practice, working with individuals or in partnership with schools, churches, and community projects. They will practice under license from Big Green Heart. 

The role of the trainer is to teach and train practitioners in the methodology of Big Green Heart and to bring individuals through to accreditation. This will be done regionally and online.

It is hoped that the trainer will continue to oversee the developing work of the practitioners in a mentoring role, either individually or in groups, whether in person or online. This will be an evolving role developed in partnership with the Founder/CEO.

About the Role

Sense is recruiting a Senior Community Fundraiser, this is a full time permanent position based in our offices in Kings Cross, London. This is a hybrid role, working in the office 2 days per week.

We’re looking for an experience fundraiser to join our Community Fundraising Team, responsible for generating income and engagement, working closely with services, volunteers and engagement staff. The successful candidate will support and deliver the community fundraising strategy, growing our portfolio and building new long-term relationships for Sense. To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Understanding of Community based fundraising trends.

• Experience providing the highest level of stewardship to supporters / fundraisers or customers.
• Experience managing projects, with multiple stakeholders.

The overall aim will be to support capacity and capability of the housing and homelessness sector to achieve better outcomes. You will need to keep your knowledge up to date and contribute the insights you gain from training delivery and observing our front-line services to develop existing and new courses, ensuring excellent quality and positive feedback. Also, you will participate in consultancy and mystery shopping as needed.

To succeed, you will need experience of delivering and developing training courses which are engaging and interactive, along with a strong understanding of housing and homelessness law. You will also have a sound knowledge of IT tools such as webinar and e-learning platform and Microsoft applications.  The role will involve travel to deliver training as needed.

Specialist Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the post. As a paralegal, you will be a key member of the Legal team and will work closely with the team to provide legal support across all aspects of the organisation. This includes our various fundraising activities and campaigns, grant making, working with our partners and suppliers, and managing our contracts as an organisation. We are looking for a candidate with paralegal experience, who has a good understanding of contracts and experience in legal processes.                                                        

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working with other members of the Legal team to help deliver quality and consistent legal and compliance support across RNIB.

• Drafting, negotiating, reviewing and advising on straightforward contracts such as NDAs and services agreements using legal precedents and guidance notes, with supervision where required.

• Advising on legal and compliance matters in line with our policies and guidance notes.

• Working with other members of the Legal team on strategic projects, litigation or disputes.

• Championing contract management across the organisation, and being an ambassador for legal matters across the wider organisation.

• With appropriate support, develop and deliver training on our legal policies, processes and guidance.

• Take day to day responsibility for electronic contract storage management.

• Support the external supplier invoicing process and management of the legal budget.

About You

You'll have:

• at least six months' experience working as a paralegal

• ideally, a law degree (or equivalent e.g. CPE, GDL) or a recognised paralegal professional qualification although this is not essential

• excellent organisational skills and be able to manage several projects and contracts

• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.), able to quickly adapt to using new IT tools e.g. for training, audit, invoices and trade marks.

You'll be a collaborative team member, able to build strong relationships and champion compliance with legal processes.

You'll take ownership of issues, decisions and escalations

You'll be proactive and prioritise and deliver results. Working within a team of 3 lawyers and one senior paralegal, you'll join a highly collegiate and supportive environment.

Night Support Workers enable people with particular needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community. Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of a support service at night and for keeping customers and the building safe.
This role is initially 3 months fixed term contract.
The shift pattern for this role is as follows: 10 x 8 hour shift pattern per fortnight, to include every other weekend.

What you'll do:
- Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere
- Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
- Conducting key work sessions as required, that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
- Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'

About the role

One of the core areas of CAST’s work is building the capacity of the social sector to respond to the rapid scale advances in AI. The evidence from the Charity Digital Skills Report; Joseph Rowntree's Grassroots and Nonprofits research and our own AI survey shows that charities are unlikely to benefit from - or respond to the challenges of - AI without intentional support and capacity building. To support charities’ (critical) adoption of AI we need to invest in supporting sector-experiments that create demonstrable impact (acting as showcases), working alongside the peer groups, charities and working groups to help move conversations into practical action.

To achieve that, we are looking to recruit a Head of Technical AI Experiments to focus on driving forward this work in a number of different ways:

• Providing direct support to organisations and specific technical advice;
• Building a range of experiments and tools alongside the sector;
• Supporting the design and development of specific programmes, training and interventions that will help shift the sector on AI

Whilst there is a lot of work underway and in the pipeline on AI this role will be expected to shape this work based on their deep experience and knowledge of AI, and support the wider team at CAST to upskill in this area.

About the Role

The Lead Lawyer - Africa Death Penalty Team is responsible for coordinating Reprieve’s litigation and advocacy in Sub-Saharan Africa. At the moment, the team works on death penalty casework and abolition advocacy in Malawi, Tanzania, and Kenya. 

Our casework includes work on appeals to the Malawi Supreme Court of Appeal in the context of historic denials of a right to appeal and related contextual challenges; large-scale projects, such as the Kenya resentencing project, wherein we support stakeholders to ensure 5,000+ people are able to access a chance at reducing their sentence from death via a new sentence hearing, as well as supporting on individual strategic resentencing cases; and long-term regional projects, such as our strategic litigation before the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, which challenges the mandatory death penalty, torture, and other associated violations of the African Charter. Length and Salary

This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend, subject to funding. The annual salary is £52,088 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance. 

This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.

Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel and work outside of core office hours from time to time.
