This is an exciting training role in Army Cadet Headquarters responsible for the coordination, development and implementation of strategic training policy across the Army Cadets.

We are looking for a training professional to bring their skills, enthusiasm, and personal credibility to the team and lead on the training governance, strategic policy, and implementation of training requirements across both our volunteer staff and employed workforce.

This role is key to ensuring Army Cadets training meets the governance requirements of the MOD, and follows required process and procedure, whilst forging its own dynamic and flexible youth training policies to meet the needs of a modern youth organisation.

This position is a permanent full-time post (40 hours per week) which will be office based in Cadets Branch, HQ Regional Command in Aldershot, however significant homeworking will be permitted.  The starting salary for the post will be £32,600 per annum.

The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. About the Role

As Interim Finance Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day finance operations, maintain robust financial systems, and ensure statutory obligations are met working with our Finance Director and CFG staff. You’ll prepare management accounts, support budgeting processes, and manage year-end audits in collaboration with our internal team and external auditors.

What You’ll Do  

• Ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day finance operations.

• Maintaining accurate financial records and systems.

• Preparing of management and year-end accounts.

• Liaison with auditors on detailed queries for the 2025/26 year-end audit.

• Facilitating effective communication between the finance team and wider organisation.

• Contributing to the development of financial processes and controls.

Bookkeeping and financial operations

• Manage the finance inbox daily, ensuring timely responses.

• Upload purchase invoices received via email to Iplicit (our finance system) and add to bulk payment run once approved by budget holders; follow up on outstanding approvals.

• Add approved staff expenses to the payment run in Iplicit.

• Post invoices from external portals (e.g. JustGiving, Click Travel, Worldpay) into SAP (our CRM).

• Upload payment runs and customer refunds to the bank, sending associated reports to the FD for authorisation.

• Ensure Iplicit is up to date with bank postings.

• Prepare monthly bank and other balance sheet reconciliations as part of management accounts pack.

• Prepare payroll reports as required (payroll is outsourced) and credit card transactions for posting into Iplicit.

• Produce ad hoc financial reports as requested by the CFG team.

• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns (these are automatically prepared in Iplicit).

Management accounts, budgeting and year-end

• Prepare monthly management accounts and transaction listings for each budget holder within a tight deadline.

• Maintain monthly deferred income schedules and other balance sheet reconciliations.

• Prepare year-end financial reports and supporting schedules.

• Complete the audited accounts reports for our two entities, liaising with auditors and CFG team as required.

• Respond to auditor queries and provide requested documentation.

• Update and circulate budget templates to budget holders during planning; consolidate returned templates.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in finance management.
• Strong knowledge of book-keeping, VAT, and compliance.
• Familiarity with finance systems (Iplicit and SAP desirable, training is available).
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This is an interim role and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

The role

As Project Manager of a new, three-year partnership project working with military support organisations, you will lead the planning, delivery and performance monitoring of a national programme offering bereavement support to those affected by military deaths. This role requires a balance of excellent organisational skills, partnership management and internal project team management. You will also be expected to have or develop a compassionate understanding of the sensitivities surrounding grief, trauma and military culture.

The postholder will be responsible for implementing project structures, ensuring the delivery of all aspects of the programme, reporting progress to internal and external stakeholders, resolving challenges and providing persuasive and effective leadership of the project to strengthen the networks of care within military and civilian communities.

About the role

Job Purpose:

The postholder administers all day-to-day activities within People Services and is responsible for the accurate, timely administration of all people-related data throughout the employee lifecycle from recruitment to retirement. Our Devon centre has a wonderful group of dedicated people with varying skills that meld into one team with one mission: to help as many pets as possible. We help pets through our two main services, Home Direct and our fostering network of over 80 volunteer foster carers.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring exceptional care for both pets and clients while making well-connected, efficient decisions that prioritise pet welfare. As the leader of our home-based pet operations, you’ll oversee the smooth running of daily activities, acting as the subject matter expert in practical animal handling and assessment. Your goal will be to prepare pets for adoption as quickly and effectively as possible. You’ll work closely with your team to ensure timely pet assessments, behaviour management, and training, while providing full support to foster carers. 

 You’ll also be responsible for achieving pet-related targets, ensuring your team of Pet Welfare Assistants and Foster Co-Ordinator's maintains the highest standards of animal care and adheres to national processes in case management. Since we don’t have cattery or kennel facilities, innovation and teamwork are essential to address the most urgent cases effectively. 

Motivating and managing your team is central to this role, enabling the centre to provide top-quality home-based pet care while helping your team develop professionally. 

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week and you will be required to work 1 in 3 weekends.

We are looking for an experienced and conscientious Finance Manager to join us to deliver our day-to-day financial procedures. The overall role will be to take responsibility for the organisation’s financial management and the effective delivery of all finance functions. The postholder will oversee and facilitate the day-to-day financial operations of the company, supported by a Finance Officer and external payroll service. Accountability will be to the Chief Executive on a day-to-day basis and ultimately to the trustees of ECI (ECI Council). This post is part of the Senior Management Team, will involve considerable joint working with other colleagues and will have management responsibility for the Finance Team.

• Take responsibility for ECI’s sound financial planning, strategy and controls

As a Delivery Manager you will take delivery lead of one or more of our critical digital products (and the relevant part of the service journey). That could be further improving an existing digital product like the recently launched website, or designing and developing a new digital product as part of our digital roadmap.

As a Delivery Manager, your role is to support one or more skilled multidisciplinary teams to deliver value. Within the Fund context, this typically means accessible user-centred services supporting our grant-holders, staff and the communities they serve.

Your role encompasses three main areas of responsibility:

• Agile and lean practices - coaching your team(s) to maintain a delivery and learning focus, using appropriate techniques to help them benefit from being agile.
• Team health and happiness - encouraging and motivating your team(s), enabling them to focus on their core work. Building trust and managing team dynamics.
• Delivery support – this covers range of tasks: reporting progress; helping product managers develop roadmaps and backlogs; building stakeholder relationships; removing obstacles for your team(s) and keeping the team focussed on delivering value whilst balancing strong user centred design, budget and time.

While you are an expert in agile delivery and team dynamics, you’re also required to have a thorough understanding of the principles of product and service design, software development, user research, user experience and accessibility.

• Technical knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and ITIL processes. Ability to act as a bridge between technical & non-technical colleagues.

About the Role

Working alongside the Managing Director, you will play a key role in supporting the day to day running of the BDD Foundation while leading on key projects during this three month cover period. The primary focus of this role will be to oversee and manage the Overcoming BDD Programme (OBP), ensuring effective delivery, volunteer support and supervision, and a high quality, compassionate experience for all participants.
