What's the role about?

You’ll be joining the RSPB England Education, Families and Youth team to support our regional partnerships with Girlguiding. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development and delivery of our key project outputs.

Key tasks:

• Design and deliver youth-focused nature engagement activities, including co-creating a nature and climate youth action toolkit and launching a Youth Nature Ambassador Network for members aged 10-18 to shape initiatives and lead their own projects.
• Design and deliver 'train the trainer' sessions to empower adult and young leaders in youth organisations, to embed nature and climate action into their core programming as well as driving the changes they are most passionate about.
• Coordinate and deliver project activities, ensuring timely, high-quality, and cost-effective outcomes. This includes managing volunteers, collaborating with partners, supporting budget monitoring, maintaining documentation, and helping embed project outcomes into long-term practice.
• Coordinate communications and stakeholder engagement, including facilitating meetings and creating briefings and materials to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• You will be supported in your role by the England Youth Partnerships team, with opportunities to meet virtually with staff and volunteers, so you feel part of a team and learn about the work of the RSPB and Girlguiding. An induction and relevant training will be provided as well as support to further develop the skills needed for this role.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Experience in designing and delivering youth engagement sessions, events, workshops, or facilitated discussions for young people, with a focus on fostering learning and development, encouraging collaboration and promoting meaningful participation and decision-making.
• Strong communication skills with both adults and young people, with the ability to convey project goals in a passionate, credible, and persuasive manner to a wide range of audiences.
• Strong time management and organisational skills, with a working knowledge of project management principles and the ability to coordinate tasks across teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in developing, collaborating and working within effective partnerships and project teams, engaging both internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals and deliver outcomes.
• Experience in compiling reports and analysing numerical data to monitor progress, evaluate impact, and inform decision-making.
• Experience in developing and delivering engaging training programmes for adults, particularly in a way that builds confidence and practical skills.

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:

• Experience in managing staff and/or volunteers, including recruitment, supervision, and development, coordinating workloads, nurturing positive relationships, and fostering a collaborative and productive team environment to ensure effective contributions to project outcomes.
• A solid understanding of the natural world, environmental issues, and practical actions that support nature conservation.

Additional Information:

• An England role, flexible on working pattern and part of a remote team.
• The role holder will be a homeworker, ideally be based in or within easy travelling distance of the Girlguiding South West England region (Gloucestershire, Bristol, Dorset, Somerset, Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire).
• Travel may be required between the regions where we have Girlguiding partnerships.
• You will need to be available to run training at weekends and/or evenings.
• This is a 12 month fixed-term role for 22.5 hours per week.
• The RSPB reserves the right to extend or make this role permanent without further advertising dependent on business needs at the end of the contract term.

The role

We’re seeking a Research Officer to join our fantastic Research team following an internal promotion within the team.

• You will be ensuring that the management of funding rounds is robust, coordinated, and delivered to the highest possible quality, and that the funding rounds we offer address key needs of the research and patient community.
• You will be responsible for managing key stakeholders in the grant funding process, including applicants, award holders and committee members to organise key events.
• You will be liaising with researchers and people with lived experience of pancreatic cancer to coordinate meaningful internal and external public and patient involvement (PPI) through our Research Involvement Network.

About You 

• You will need sound knowledge of research principles and the UK research funding environment.
• Experience of working in a scientific or clinical research context with an undergraduate degree, preferably with a biomedical focus.
• An understanding of patient and public involvement and how to converse with people affected by pancreatic cancer.
• An ability to build relationships and coordinate working with many large and diverse specialist stakeholder groups.

The Fundraising Executive is responsible for supporting participant registration and income growth within Endurance Events and Friends and Family fundraising.

They will deliver Endurance Stewardship Journeys and represent Movember at third-party endurance events, providing hands-on support to inspire and engage participants. They will also support both acquisition and retention of Friends and Family Mo’s leading up to and including the Movember campaign.

About the role

As the Data Protection and Compliance Officer, you will deliver the data protection and compliance agenda at Crisis, ensuring a risk-based approach in line with applicable laws including the Data Protection Act 2018, UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Privacy and E-Communications Regulation in respect of marketing compliance.

You’ll work right across the organisation, from supporting our client facing regional centres in effective information sharing to help end someone’s homelessness, to working with Crisis’ transformation programme to help improve the governance and safekeeping of corporate and personal records. It is a hugely varied and busy role where you can switch from interacting with members of the public, our clients on rights issues to advising on police disclosure requests.

This is an exciting time to join Crisis and to be part of the new Compliance, Risk and Governance Team, influencing the privacy and data protection agenda for 2025-26. You would be an integral part of this small, yet influential team supporting the organisation to meet its legal obligations, understand its regulation requirements, and foster best practice.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Extensive knowledge of UK Data Protection law including an understanding of marketing legislation (PECR)

What will I be doing?

• Working as a core part of our Cancer Awareness team to engage people face-to-face, providing information on cancer prevention, screening and early detection

• Organising and delivering Cancer Awareness presentations and training to community groups and supporting other public health initiatives in our Nurse-led Cancer Awareness activities

• Collecting and inputting data to evaluate local engagement activities

• Getting involved with other Cancer Awareness outreach activity in the local community

• Managing a team of Health Awareness Volunteers and supporting them to be involved with Cancer Awareness activity where appropriate.

What skills are you looking for?

• Registered Nurse - NMC registration is mandatory for this role and must be maintained at all times

• An interest in or experience of at least one of the following: health promotion, practice nursing, occupational health, health visiting, district/community nursing or other qualification/experience

About the role

As a Project Officer, you will play a dynamic role in delivering a variety of walking, wheeling, and cycling projects that make a real difference to people's lives.
