Used by students, academics, artists, and the public, the library supports learning and research into the history of print, graphic design and technology.

St Bride Foundation (SBF) is seeking a Collections and Archives Manager with strong project management and collections management skills to support the development, preservation, and accessibility of our library and archive collections. Alongside this our preferred candidate will have excellent people management and engagement skills.
The Collections and Archives Manager will manage the smooth running of the Reading Room, library enquiry services and manage our library volunteers.
Working as part of a small team, the role will involve helping to develop and deliver aspects of the learning programme, especially those relating to engagement with the collections through activities including tours, talks and exhibitions.
The Collections and Archives Manager will work closely with the Foundation Librarian to oversee library and archival operations, and develop policies to improve storage, accessibility, and preservation.
As part of our wider strategic plans this role is pivotal in ensuring the safe relocation of collection materials, implementing best practices in storage and conservation, and enhancing the long-term sustainability of our holdings.

Key Responsibilities
Access, Research & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support public and internal access to collection materials by providing research services and developing user-friendly finding aids.
- Collaborate with researchers, educators and community groups to enhance the impact of the collections.
- Improve discovery and accessibility of collections through database enhancements and digitisation efforts.
Project Management – Collection
- Manage the care, storage, and documentation of the Foundations collection, including developing and implementing policies and procedures for such projects as inventory audits, collection moves, exhibitions, loans and rationalisation projects.
- Liaise with contractors, partners and internal teams to ensure the security of collections materials.
- Conduct post-project evaluations and implement improvements for future collection projects.
Collections Management & Preservation
- Develop the collections in line with the Foundations collections policy, reflecting SBFs audiences.
- Work closely with conservation specialists to develop and implement storage strategies that align with best practice standards, improving environmental controls and storage solutions.
- Oversee cataloging, metadata creation, and collections documentation.
- Manage digital preservation strategies and support digitisation projects to increase access to collections.
- Develop risk management strategies for collection security, environmental conditions, and disaster preparedness.
Outreach, Engagement & Advocacy
- Contribute to learning and engagement programs, including talks, tours, workshops, exhibitions, and digital content—that promote engagement with the collections across diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with institutions, community partners, and funding bodies to support and develop collections-based projects such as research projects, youth programmes and oral histories.
- Work with the wider team to share stories from the collections to support advocacy, fundraising, and awareness campaigns.
- Ensure all outreach activity aligns with the organisation’s mission and values, with a commitment to access, inclusion, and engagement with communities and content.
Policy & Funding
- Assist in policy development regarding collections management.
- Work with the Foundation Librarian and Fundraising Manager to identify and pursue funding opportunities to support the collections.
- Advocate for the value and significance of the collections within the organisation and to external stakeholders, including funders, partner institutions, and policymakers.
Team Leadership & Administration
- Supervise, support and manage library staff,volunteer and placement workloads and ensure efficient allocation of resources for ongoing projects.
- Represent the Foundation at professional conferences, meetings, and collaborations with external organisations.
Required Skills & Experience:

- A post graduate qualification in Archives and Records Management.
- Significant experience of working in an archive setting.

The LN comprises 30+ staff working as part of a single team operating across the Methodist Church in Britain. The team is strategically and collaboratively managed by Learning and Development Managers (LDMs), each having responsibility for a number of Learning and Development Officers (LDO) working within a geographical area. We are seeking to recruit an LDM for the Cymru Wales, West Midlands and South West area. There is a requirement to live within this geography that includes the Methodist districts: Wales Synod Cymru, West Midlands (following the merger of the current Birmingham District and the Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury District on 1st September 2025), Southampton, Channel Islands, Bristol, and South West Peninsular.
Responsibilities of the Learning Development Manager include:

The role
We are looking for an experienced part-time NEBOSH or IOSH qualified Health and Safety Manager, who will lead manage and develop our health and safety requirements and responsibilities around working outside and around water.
We have a health and safety management plan which following on from our Health and Safety audit, has outlined the framework for this role and what is needed to be implemented over the next 12 months.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Work with both Head of HR and Operations Manager on certain aspects of office Health & Safety with as and where necessary
- Project manage and deliver all requirements of the new created H&S Management Plan
- Work with managers on Construction Design Management (CDM) health and safety
- Track and ensure that risk assessments are being completed within teams for events and elsewhere where required in Thames21
- Work with HR and line managers to ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) are created, updated and reviewed periodically
- Deliver the H&S induction session with new joiners when and where applicable
- Work with the Operations Manager to ensure vehicle checks are conducted in accordance with the vehicles policy, and that all drivers are trained in the use of the inspection checklists and all aspects of vehicle inspection.
- Compile a quarterly incident report to the Head of HR
- Manage the incident reporting system, escalating serious incidents (including risks) to senior management
- Manage a programme of safety audits to reporting these to the management team
- Manage and run the quarterly H&S group meetings and keep track of progress of actions that have been assigned
- Conduct training sessions on other related health and safety as and when required

Our Data Operations Managers have a key role in ensuring our end to end processes are working through our central CRM system. These processes include the processing of our income through the system such as Gift Aid, regular giving and special events, Direct Debits.
This role also ensures our end to end data flows are fit for purpose and that data within it are clean, accessible and available.
This role is responsible for:
- Custodian of our CRM data and responsible for major data import/export into the system including data validation, de-duplication, cleansing and fixing of data throughout the multiple data systems.
- Responsible for the curation and management of import and export routines of key fundraising data using appropriate tools.
- Responsible for forming and managing how the functions work within the Organisation to build key relationships with key data users to ensure data is correctly ingested
- Responsible for defining and setting standards and principles of data use in the system and fully enforcing these principles across the Organisation and to suppliers.
- Maintenance of legacy systems and processes where necessary

Our operations team is led by the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and includes the finance and bookings & venue teams. This is a newly created role that will report directly to the COO and work closely with the wider operations team.
Scope of role
The role supports the delivery of our IT, facilities, health and safety across operations. They act as the first point of contact with outsourced providers and co-ordinate any work related to these areas.
The role is in place to support the project management and delivery of a set of work programs and there is a level of autonomy to make decisions on a project / work area basis within an agreed framework to deliver.
The role will hold the IT budget, and support COO with facilities budget; thus it is expected that there is a good understanding of the budgets to understand constraints and opportunities. The role can make spending decisions up to £2,000.
This role is designed to allocate approximately 60% of the focus on core IT functions and 40% on facilities and operational oversight including procurement.
They will be expecting to advise COO and wider SMT on IT and Operations related plans for the year.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Information Technology & Systems
- Be responsible with the support of the COO and wider SMT with all IT related strategy including procurement and streamline of new IT service provider/s. Including setting up KPIs’ and using these to assess performance.
- Manage the setup of new staff – including the procurement of equipment required for the role – this includes all communication tools.
- Managing the relationship and being the key point of contact with the technology suppliers and technology support providers.
- Identifying cost savings/efficiencies in the tech stack.
- Supporting IT KIT refresh plans and purchase, this includes audit of needs and vendor negotiations and lifecycle planning with the COO.
- Leading on regular assessment of IT and systems needs for all services and administrative staff.
Facilities, Health and Safety & General Administration - Act as the main point of contact with our property management company. Work with the COO to escalate issues.
- Book in contractors and maintain all required documentation in conjunction with other key stake holders (property manager/agent).

Our aim at Bipolar UK is to integrate research into the charity in a way which combines more traditional elements of facilitating lived experience involvement alongside actively contributing to and directing research. We are also striving to increase awareness of bipolar and to campaign for more bipolar-specific research, addressing the ‘bipolar gap’ within research and services.
Bipolar UK is very much a user-driven organisation. Approximately one-third of our staff, including our Director of Research, have lived experience of bipolar themselves, while many more have lived experience through family or close friends. Although lived experience is not essential for this role, we especially welcome applications from those with lived experience of bipolar and will expect anyone who takes on this role to have insight into the needs and priorities of the bipolar community, and a commitment to undertaking research which focuses on bipolar.
Bipolar UK is a warm and supportive working environment. The charity has a strong commitment to sustainable working practices and the well-being of its staff.Initially this role is for 2 years. However, research at Bipolar UK is expanding fast and it is highly likely that it will be possible to extend the role beyond this period, dependent upon new funding.
We are looking for someone who is committed to mental health and bipolar research in a way which reflects the priorities of the bipolar community both in the UK and worldwide, understands co-production with people who share lived experience and can explore diverse types of research questions and methodologies and working with a diverse range of researchers and research projects.
