The Camden Short Breaks Team, as part of the Children, Young People, Families and Engagement service at Centre 404, delivers person-centred homebased and community-based outreach support for children and young people with a learning disability.

Centre 404 is seeking a dynamic and organised Short Breaks and Family Engagement Manager to lead the development and delivery of engaging activities, workshops, and support services for children and young people with disabilities and their families. Based in North London, this role involves coordinating short breaks and family engagement activities across boroughs including Islington, Camden, Tower Hamlets, Haringey, and Enfield, in line with local authority contracts and community needs.

 Responsibilities will include:

•  ·Planning and delivering workshops, forums, well-being sessions and social events for families
• · Developing outreach programmes to engage family carers
• · Supervising volunteers
• · Using creative and tech skills to promote activities and monitor success
• · Building strong relationships with families, local services and professionals

We will also be looking for an understanding of person-centred planning approaches, including Short Breaks, ENCP, PBS, and support plans and a working knowledge of CQC standards and their application in delivery.

An average of 25 hours a week, worked flexibly to meet service needs

You will work a mixture of evening work (2-3 x 2 hour evening sessions per week), plus one full weekend per month, with the rest of your hours worked flexibly during the week. Generally, you will work  between 20-25 hours most weeks, with one week per month requiring you to work 35 hours (this includes the full weekend hours).

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

•To support the delivery of ‘Connected’ and monthly meetings for children and young people, and the Adoption Alliance Project (which is supported by the National Lottery Community Fund)

•To work closely with the Connected Lead Worker and the Adoption Alliance Lead to support and enable young, adopted people in North Wales to participate fully; and to support the delivery of both projects and for children and young people to participate using either Welsh or English language as they choose.

•To support the Lead Worker to run Connected sessions, and help facilitate young people’s involvement in making change in the way adopted young people are treated in education settings through the Adoption Alliance project. 

•To support the Children and Young People Service Manager in delivering other aspects of the CONNECT Service, such as supporting delivery of Adoption Awareness Training; creating content for the CONNECT website; and supporting the CONNECT Voices Youth Council.

•Partners will include the North Wales Adoption Service, National Adoption Service, the Education Departments of each of the 6 local authorities across North Wales, and ESTYN. 

MAIN DUTIES

•To work with the Connected Lead Worker/Adoption Alliance Lead to deliver Connected sessions and Adoption Alliance services across North Wales, and in particular to assist with the groups and support young people to achieve their goals.

•To provide support to the development, delivery, and promotion of both services, including planning of an annual programme of group sessions and activities for delivery, and purchasing and preparing resources.

•To support the Connected Lead Worker/Adoption Alliance Lead in undertaking the processing of referrals and initial engagement with young people. 

•To support the the Connected Lead Worker/Adoption Alliance Lead to work with the young people and their families to establish whether the service is appropriate for them; and to agree measurable outcomes in line with the guidance provided for the Regulated and Inspection Social Care 2016 Act for adoption services.

•To support the Connected Lead Worker/Adoption Alliance Lead to maintain agreed levels of contact with young people and their adoptive family, as long as they remain registered with the services.

•To work closely with the Connected Lead Worker/Adoption Alliance Lead to book venues, take bookings for sessions/training, and gather output and outcome data from the project.

•To support the creation and review of individual support plans for children and young people, session plans and  risk assessments, and to input these onto our data system

•To support young people who wish to have their voices heard, in national and regional forums.

•To demonstrate a willingness to learn and to participate in regular reflective practice sessions, to enhance skills and service delivery

Our 627 sqm facilities host over 40 members and staff each day, providing a vibrant space for support services, creative projects, and events. As our Cleaner, you will be responsible for the cleaning and general upkeep of the centre and offices of Headway East London. You will play a vital role in maintaining a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for our community. Your work will ensure that our centre is not only a functional space but a place where people feel valued and cared for.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Working with an agency cleaner to perform cleaning duties as per the cleaning schedule, to ensure satisfactory levels of cleanliness throughout the building.

• Contribute towards retaining our 5 Star rating kitchen standards by supporting the kitchen team with post lunch cleaning.

• Work flexibly to support with ad hoc cleaning around out of hours events.

• Update the admin team when supplies of consumables are running low, ensuring that basic supplies are always available.

• Update the Admin and Premises Manager with any observation of health and safety risks and concerns.

• Assist the Admin and Premises Manager to improve and maintain our health and safety standards.

• Secure the building at the end of the day.

Person Specification

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

• Provide tailored, high-quality stewardship to a range of large and medium-sized Trusts & Foundations.
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities and build relationships with new Trusts and Foundations to further grow this income stream.
• Prioritise research to constantly develop future pipeline.
• Work with Head of Philanthropy and other senior stakeholders in engaging potential funders and managing strategic Trusts & Statutory partners.

Write applications and reports

• Develop compelling funding applications for Trusts and occasionally statutory funders, articulating Resurgo's vision and strategy to persuasively engage new donors with a focus on raising five and six-figure grants.
• Stay ahead of sector trends, media, and political context to market Resurgo's interventions in a compelling way.
• Develop general communications on the work of Resurgo to inspire and update our Trust audience.
• Produce reports and updates on the impact of our work for funders in a timely manner. 

Data Management and Monitoring

• Update our internal database (Salesforce) with all donor interactions, donations and other details ina timely and efficient manner and with strong attention to detail, and analyse data to give insights' and drive future activity.
• Manage the Trusts & Foundations and Statutory pipelines and report on income and other KPIs, and ensure Trusts & Foundations team meets monthly targets and deadlines.

Line Management

• Actively manage and develop the Trusts & Foundations Executive to help them grow personally and in their role.

At Jessie May, we provide specialist nursing care, at home, for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. We support parents, siblings and wider family members in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset, and Wiltshire.

Job Purpose

As Corporate Partnerships Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting and growing Jessie May’s corporate income. You’ll nurture existing partnerships while developing and managing a robust pipeline of new prospects, in line with our wider fundraising and organisational strategy.

Your work will involve creating tailored stewardship journeys, compelling proposals, and clear impact reports that build strong, lasting relationships and deliver a sustainable income stream.

You’ll identify, build, and secure high-value partnerships across a range of opportunities from strategic partnerships and employee fundraising, to cause related marketing opportunities, events, and Gifts in Kind.

You’ll know how to create mutually beneficial partnerships that meet our corporate partners’ goals while delivering meaningful impact for the children and families we support.

Main Responsibilities

Relationship Management and Stewardship

• Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, building strong, strategic relationships and delivering high-level stewardship to encourage ongoing support and long-term sustainability.
• Plan, manage, and deliver corporate cultivation and stewardship events, visits, and meetings with existing supporters and new prospects, while developing a corporate partnerships calendar of activities to enhance and grow relationships
• Identify key senior contacts within each partnership and drive stakeholder engagement, leveraging internal relationships to deepen commitment across all levels of the organisation.
• Ensure all corporate relationships comply with the Fundraising Regulator and internal due diligence requirements, and that all partnership activity aligns with Jessie May’s brand and values. 
• Maintain accurate records of corporate support on Donorfy, tracking engagement and financial contributions to inform future strategies and reporting.

Pipeline Development

• Research, identify and cultivate new corporate partnership opportunities through proactive and strategic pipeline management.
• Secure new multi-year corporate and charity of the year partnerships through strong prospect research, tailored proposals, and confident pitching.
• Research, evaluate and develop new corporate fundraising opportunities including strategic partnerships, Charity of the Year partnerships, commercial partnerships, payroll giving, cash or gift in-kind donations, sponsorship and pro-bono opportunities.
• Represent Jessie May at networking and events to promote our work and develop new leads.

Other Responsibilities

• As directed by the Head Fundraising and Communications, deliver regular activity and income reports, and participate in the budgeting and reforecasting of corporate income.
• Represent Jessie May at fundraising events, including weekends and out-of-hours. 
• Monitor and evaluate fundraising performance, ensuring all activities align with best practices and compliance standards.
• Be flexible and carry out any other associated duties that may arise, develop, or be assigned.
• Adhere to legal requirements for fundraising and general activities, including GDPR, The Fundraising Code of Practice, and others.

Terms & Conditions and Employee Benefits

Conditions, including but not limited to the following:

• Checks: The appointment is subject to satisfactory references, DBS check and a probationary period of six months. 
• Salary:  £33,739 - £37,241 depending on experience.  Salaries are reviewed annually, at the discretion of the Trustees, where the budget allows, with any increases effective from April. 
• Pension: There is a group personal pension scheme that you are entitled to participate in, subject to the rules of the scheme.  You will be automatically enrolled into the scheme, however there is the option to opt out.  The employer’s contribution is 5 per cent while the employee’s contribution is 4 per cent of the pensionable salary.

The Role – Individual Giving Assistant Manager

The Fundraising Department of Chester Zoo, a major wildlife charity, with a mission of Preventing Extinction works to secure income which contributes towards the delivery of our strategic development plan and ambitious conservation plan, helping to ensure nature can survive and thrive.

Reporting to the Fundraising & Philanthropy Lead and working with the wider Fundraising team, the Individual Giving Assistant Manager will lead on securing and managing small to medium donations from individuals. This includes our newly created Patron Scheme, multiple fundraising campaigns and all challenge events for the zoo (including Run for Nature).

We are looking for a proactive and conscientious individual who will take a data led approach to raise money in effective and creative ways, working with our Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Data and Insights Manager to identify patterns and drive donations through individual giving. They will also manage and drive revenue through onsite giving mechanisms including in-memory, naming opportunities and point of sale giving – all whilst helping to strengthen our supporter base and foster their long-term relationships with the zoo.

They will work across the organisation to support our team of conservationists and scientists at Chester Zoo to engage, train and support targets within our strategically important field, education and science led projects.

We’re looking for someone who can:

• Fundraising Strategy: Help to develop and implement new plans to continue to grow our Individual Giving income led by the Fundraising & Philanthropy Lead
• Prospect Development: Work with our Senior Marketing Manager and Senior Data and Insights Manager to identify patterns in giving using data from our CRM and drive donations through appeals and public campaigns across the organisation
• Donor Cultivation and Stewardship: Develop an annual programme of stewardship and contact opportunities
• Campaigns: Develop and deliver engaging campaigns across multiple channels (direct mail, digital, email, on-site) aiming to grow a sustainable donor base. Monitoring and reporting on campaign performance using data to optimise and drive continuous improvement and donor retention
• Onsite Giving: Maximise onsite giving opportunities including naming around animal habitats and our newly installed Celebration Tree, alongside site wide donation boxes, point of sale items, round-up giving and contactless. Working with the Fundraising Administrator to include coordinating collections, reviewing messaging, reporting and identifying areas for improvement
• Event Management: Work across the organisation to create engagement and stewardship opportunities through events and experiences as the role requires
• Donor Stewardship: Keep accurate records on the database to include all communications, donor plans, pledges, proposals, gifts and restrictions. • Experience of using a database to manage and track donor gifts, relationships and pipeline
