You are a graduate or holder of equivalent professional qualification in graphic design or illustration and already working within graphic design, with experience of magazine layout, illustration, PC use in design and the ability to use Adobe Creative Suite (CC), Indesign CC, Photoshop CC and Acrobat DC. You have excellent attention to detail and the ability to plan for, and juggle, competing deadlines and priorities whilst remaining calm under pressure. The ability to use AI in design would be distinct advantage.

A portfolio of work will be required as part of the interview process.

For a leading university in central London, we're recruiting an interim Finance Business Partner for 3-6 months. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will work as a trusted advisor to several non-finance budget holders and academic staff within the faculty and several Corporate / Professional Services areas. The interim Finance Business Partner will manage all areas of their management accounting and financial planning, providing insightful financial information, analysis, and reporting to help with decision-making. This is a key role during a period of change as the University implements Technology One, so experience in this system is highly desirable.

Main Duties:

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and monthly management accounts with review and interpretation of results, MI, risks and opportunities for budget holders
• Produce reports and analysis on cost drivers for stakeholders, and provide analysis on complex data sets for decision-making
• Prepare management accounts liaising with the financial accounting team to ensure all transactions and journals are robust and accurate
• Build strong relationships with budget holders, meeting frequently and providing support and decision-making advice
• Produce monthly commentary on the management accounts for budget holder groups

• Support the implementation of Technology One, including the roll-out of user training and workshops for budget holders on finance processes

• Partnership working and development: Cultivate, secure and steward funding and relationships for HFHGB from major donors, high net worth individuals, trusts and foundations. Design and implement a programme of relationship development/stewardship and cultivation events.

Management and Reporting

• Develop oversight and reporting on development and delivery of Major Donor fundraising monitoring progress against key performance indicators.
• Maintaining the database of critical information (pipeline proposals, meetings, grants and donations. 

Leadership, networking and representation

• To develop a culture of support within the organisation. To lift others up and to give voice, agency and equity to all. Contribute to the Development Team, taking the lead on cross-organisational activities.
• Collaborate with the CEO to support/enable them to develop engagement with HFHGB.  Represent HFHGB externally at a senior level, building the organisational profile.

Skills and competencies:

• Extensive knowledge of trusts, foundations and high net worth individual fundraising best practice.
• Proven experience of raising 6 and 7 figure gifts from Trusts, Foundations and High Net Worth Individuals.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic plans for high value donors/ trusts and foundations.
• A strong track record of overseeing prospect research, pipeline development and delivering growth.

What you'll do:

* Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Manager
* Provide support 9am-5pm 7 days a week
* Assess prospective discharges within 3-5 hours of receiving referral information.
* Support the customer to settle in and meet their immediate social care needs.
* Update the Discharge/Patient Flow Team on patient progress on a weekly basis.
* Escalate concerns to the Discharge Team and urgent concerns via the Crisis Line.
* Proactively monitor customer's mental state, ADLs and move-on plans.
* Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions.
* Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available.
* Support customers to access activities and services in order to maintain and improve well-being, access benefits and reduce isolation.
* Maintain regular communication with Hackney Council (Local Authority) to facilitate re-housing.
* Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community.
* Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to
* Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards.
* Ensure that referrals are chased proactively so that properties which can be used to house those in need are filled as efficiently as possible.

About the Organisation

Our client is a large, complex organisation operating in the not-for-profit sector, with a diverse portfolio that includes investment management, grant funding, housing services, and pension scheme administration. With an annual income exceeding £100 million, the organisation is undergoing significant transformation to modernise its finance systems and improve service delivery.

The Finance department operates as a shared service across multiple entities, supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring financial sustainability. The team is currently engaged in a major transformation programme, including system upgrades and process improvements. This interim role has been created to allow the Head of FP&A more time to focus on this transformation. The Deputy will focus on BAU.

The Job

This is a senior interim leadership role within the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function. As Deputy Head of FP&A (Finance Business Partnering), you will:

• Lead a team of five Finance Business Partners, ensuring consistent and high-quality financial support across the organisation
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes
• Drive improvements in reporting tools, templates, and processes
• Support the Head of FP&A and collaborate with other senior finance leaders
• Lead on business-as-usual change initiatives, including internal audit actions and risk mitigation
• Act as a senior finance representative on project boards and steering groups
• Promote financial accountability and literacy across the organisation

• Experience in a government relations, policy or public affairs environment (previous experience of working in Parliament and autonomously with parliamentarians or ministers is highly desirable).
• Operational experience of UK political structures, processes and trends.
• Proven experience of engaging through the policy process – (1) developing policy ideas and (2) responding to consultations, strategy development and call for evidence from parliamentary committees. To do this you are able deploy evidence and stakeholder insight expertly to positively engage government and parliamentary stakeholders with a clearly framed point of view.
• Proven ability to engage working level stakeholders and manage political, ministerial and departmental sensitivities.

Bank Support Workers have the ability to accept any shifts available on an ad-hoc basis across from all of Look Ahead's specialisms including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Homelessness and Young People. Bank Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. Within Learning Disability services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. Within Mental Health and Homelessness services they will enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package. While carrying out activities, Bank Support Workers should deal with all customers, visitors and staff in a professional and appropriate manner and report to Look Ahead staff and management any observations relating to customers' welfare.

What you'll do:

Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers
Conducting key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
