We are looking for a Reading Project Leader, to deliver some of our reading projects in London, on a part-time, term-time only basis. You will lead a team of volunteers on three projects per week, being present at a community base while your volunteer team visits local families and reads with children,and  reading with families yourself at times.

You will be a resourceful, confident decision maker able to operate independently on the ground to support your team and be able to engage with our community partners and beneficiaries.

The Principal Practice Tutor will play a leading role in and delivering Frontline’s Approach Social Work programme, a fast-track master’s in social work.  This is an exciting role for someone who wishes to combine management and leadership responsibilities whilst keeping a close connection to the work of their team by working directly with participants on the programme.  

The role of Principal Practice Tutor is to provide programme leadership and team management ensuring a high-quality teaching experience as well as ensuring excellent participant placement experience by supporting Consultant Social Workers. 

The role comprises of six core areas of responsibility: 

• Programme leadership and team management
• Resolve escalated participant issues
• Practice learning of participants 
• Support of Consultant Social Workers 
• Delivery (teaching) and Quality Assurance (marking) of the programme’s curriculum

Every year we support millions of people through our website and support services on all aspects of migraine and for help in managing it at work, in education, and in accessing healthcare. The role

People living with migraine are at the heart of our organisation, while our research highlights the urgent need to reduce the inequity we see for those living with the condition. You will ensure their voices are heard by decision makers and the public and get closer to our vison of ‘a world where migraine doesn’t stop anyone from living the life they want’.

You should be able to deliver high-impact communication campaigns, and have a real interest in policy. A skilled communicator yourself, you will be able to manage a broad role with the ability to build and nurture relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Overall, you’ll bring a desire to create positive change.

You’ll work closely with the CEO and be a key member of The Migraine Trust’s Senior Management team, leading our strategic direction on communications activity alongside targeted public and political campaigns.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of the organisation’s 2026 policy and communications plans and coordinate the development of plans and budgets for 2027
• Oversee development and delivery of the charity’s policy and public affairs strategy, ensuring a strong evidence base and meaningful involvement of people living with migraine
• Manage work our public affairs agency to deliver targeted influencing projects to improve migraine care, workplace support, and parliamentary engagement
• Shape policy recommendations and develop strategies to engage key stakeholders including parliamentarians, policymakers, clinicians, employers and partner organisations
• Monitor the external policy environment identifying risks, opportunities and emerging issues relevant to migraine
• Work with the team to develop and execute creative and impactful communications campaigns to raise the profile of the charity and tackle misunderstanding around migraine

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.

The Café – Nourishing Food, Nurturing Community

We are seeking a Community Development Officer to lead a major in-progress project improving recognition, support, and care for people with smell and taste disorders at a local level across England. 

This three-year, volunteer-led programme, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund has achieved significant success in its first eighteen months. We are now recruiting a new postholder to take this strong foundation forward through the next phase of delivery. 

Over the past eighteen months, we have recruited and established a thriving network of volunteers and local groups across England. This momentum is expected to continue. The Community Development Officer will work closely with existing volunteers and groups, primarily remotely, while also attending in-person events and meetings in different parts of England as needed. 

The postholder will lead the ongoing recruitment, training, and support of volunteer groups, working with them to identify opportunities for local outreach and engagement. Together, you will ensure that more people affected by smell and taste disorders access the information, support, and recognition they need, while continuing to raise awareness of these often-unrecognised sensory impairments.

The postholder will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred In-Work Support to Disabled employees and their employers. Service Delivery and Support Planning

• Update and maintain accurate support plans for In Work Support clients.
• Carry out regular workplace visits/support assessments and remote check-ins with employees to review progress and provide support.

Monitoring, Feedback, and Quality Assurance

• Chase, read, action, and securely store all feedback forms.
• Share relevant feedback and service updates with line manager in a timely manner.
• Ensure all CRM systems are updated with accurate and up-to-date records.

Recruitment Administration

• Support the recruitment process by being part of the interview panel, chasing references, scanning and storing key documents, and completing necessary online checks.
• Monitor and record completion of mandatory online training for new and existing staff.

Events and Communications

• Support the organisation and delivery of three annual staff events, ensuring accessibility and engagement.
• Create a fortnightly newsletter with updates, stories, and resources related to In-Work Support from feedback and visits.

The Purpose of the Role

The purpose of the Programme Finance Officer role is to provide financial and administrative support to ensure effective financial management of programmes and projects implemented in the UK. The postholder supports the Programme Finance Manager with budgeting, expenditure monitoring, and financial reporting, as well as performing key transactional tasks such as reviewing and processing invoices, verifying supporting documentation, preparing payment requests, and reconciling project accounts.

The postholder ensures financial accuracy, compliance with donor and organisational policies, and contributes to the timely delivery of high-quality programme financial information.

Scope and Authority 

•  Acts under the supervision of the Programme Finance Manager and in accordance with organisational financial policies and procedures.

•  Authorised to review and verify programme-related financial documents (e.g. invoices, expense claims, timesheets) for accuracy and compliance prior to submission for approval.

•  May prepare and process payment requests, journal entries, and financial reconciliations, subject to approval by the Programme Finance Manager.

•  Authorised to communicate with internal departments on financial matters within assigned programmes.

•  May represent the finance unit in meetings when delegated by the Programme Finance Manager.

Responsibility for Resources:

Financial Resources

Responsible for accurately processing and monitoring programme financial transactions, including reviewing invoices, expense claims, partner financial reports, and payment requests in line with approved budgets and financial policies. Supports the Programme Finance Manager in ensuring effective use of programme funds and adherence to donor and organisational financial requirements.

Information and Data

Responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date financial records, databases, and supporting documentation for all programme activities. Ensures confidentiality and integrity of financial data and compliance with data protection policies.

Human Resources

Responsible for providing financial guidance, training, and support to programme staff and implementing partners but has no direct line management responsibilities.

Key Working Relationships

o  Programme Finance Manager – direct supervisor; receives guidance and provides regular updates on financial matters.

o  Programme Managers – collaborates on budget monitoring, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting.

o  Programme Team – provides support on expense claims, invoices, client expenses, timesheets, chart of accounts and other responsible tasks.

o  Finance Team – works closely on transaction processing, reconciliations, and compliance with organisational financial procedures.

Key Accountabilities

Budgeting and Monitoring (45%)

•  Assist in the preparation of budgets 
•  Processing budgets and reforecasts into the finance system 
•  Prepare monthly Budget vs Actual reports for programme managers to identify under or overspending

Financial Management and Reporting  (25%)

•  Ensure accurate recording, monitoring, and reporting of programme finances by maintaining up-to-date and true financial records 
•  Month-end reconciliations to ensure accuracy within the accounts. 
•  Journal processing 
•  Support the Programme Finance Manager in producing timely and compliant financial reports for both internal and donor requirements.

Transactional Processes, Compliance and Training (20%)

•  To be a finance super-user to support colleagues in areas such as finance system queries, invoice processing, coding and staff expenses
•  Create step-by-step guidance notes 
•  Lead on finance-related staff training to promote compliance with organisational policies and donor regulations. 

General Administrative support (10%)

•  Tracking & disseminating client supplies and managing inventory for vouchers, SIM cards, laptops etc. 
•  Setting up new clients and Community Advisory Board members on Integra with supply chain and processing client reimbursements 
•  Supporting orders of programme supplies such as client and service provider handbook orders

The role is 21 hours per week with flexible working arrangements across the week to suit your needs, with at least one day par week in our London office. We need someone who enjoys variety, is comfortable working independently, and takes satisfaction in contributing to the team's success.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You'll provide varied administrative support including managing correspondence, processing post, sending membership materials, and helping with event administration. You'll maintain accurate records by entering data into Salesforce- our customer database, checking reports match, and organising documentation. You'll also help keep the office running smoothly by liaising with suppliers and assisting with health & safety compliance.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You'll have experience in general administrative roles with strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. You'll be proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), reliable, proactive, and able to work independently whilst being a supportive team player. Experience with Salesforce is desirable but not essential.

As their Financial Controller, you will lead the Financial Accounting and Payroll team. This hands-on, strategic role requires a leader capable of driving operational efficiency in transactional accounting while managing the complexity of statutory reporting, audit, and internal control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, Banking) and drive efficiency. Ensure the integrity, controls, and continuous improvement of all finance systems.

• Be the primary lead for the production of annual statutory accounts and the management of the year-end audit. Ensure full compliance with tax obligations (VAT, Corporation Tax) and external regulations.

• Design, implement, and maintain a robust and effective internal control framework, ensuring processes are documented and controls are strictly followed.

• Lead cash flow management, debt collection, liaise with investment managers, and report on compliance with the financial reserves policy.

• Manage and motivate the Financial Accounting Team and oversee the Payroll Operations Manager, ensuring an accurate, timely, and compliant payroll and pensions service.

• Act as a key advisor to employees and trustees, specifically managing the fixed asset register and partnering on capital expenditure budgets.

Essentials: 

• A recognised, full Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

• 5-10 years' Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in a senior financial accounting or audit position with a demonstrable track record of success in managing complex financial operations.

• Experience working within a charity environment and strong knowledge of charity SORP. 

• Proven experience in statutory accounts production, managing audits, implementing strong internal controls, and overseeing transactional teams.

• Strong change management skills and a passion for driving continuous process and system improvements.

Salary is up to £68,000 + Excellent Benefits.
