In this fixed-term role, you will support the Direct Marketing Manager - Loyalty to manage the donor loyalty programme. You will develop and manage existing and new supporter communication programmes growing loyalty in our supporter base. The aim is to maximise the value of our long-term relationships with individual supporters.

This role is a varied one, with superb development opportunities. As part of a small team, you will be responsible for the print-based communications we send to our supporters but also email production with the view of developing the loyalty digital journey. Furthermore, you'll contribute to the development of our legacy and in memory activities, and high value offer. You'll also have the opportunity to support the supporter acquisition team on projects to gain new donors. Consequently, the role gives you the opportunity to grow your experience in supporter acquisition, as well as loyalty. And you will play a key part in delivering emergency appeals - when the work that you do will have a direct impact in saving older people's lives during a crisis.

As we continue to develop our Individual Giving strategy, you will have the chance to be involved in new initiatives and communications.

We offer hybrid working, with a minimum of one day a week in our London office - One America Square (EC3N 2LB) and the last Thursday of the month in the London office. Please note that our core working days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Travel costs to the London office are not covered by the charity.

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room.
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.

Delivery of Spear Career [20%]

Training the Assistant Coach [10%]

• Contributing towards the training and developing of the Assistant Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback.

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.

Who you are
 
We’re looking for an experienced movement builder to make the student movement a powerful force in the UK. The Movement Development team is a new team in NUS, focusing on building an inclusive student voice and strong and healthy student activism that can unlock the collective power of the 7 million students and apprentices we represent. We will achieve this through projects that;

• develop the means for marginalised and under-represented student groups to campaign together; ranging from growing the Liberation Collective for racialised, women, LGBT , trans and disabled students, to building new structures for strong student voice in further education
• convene a political student and youth movement, strengthening its voice in civil society through organising and democratic engagement
• equip students with the skills, democracy and tools to build resilient campaign communities

About this job

The role of the Human Resource Officer is integral in progressing UNISON’s people management and wide HR strategic agenda. It will provide professional human resource and employee relations advice and support to UNISON’s managers on key areas such as case management, staff movement and recruitment, absence management and Occupational Health referrals, and general people matters.

The role will be responsible in providing support to managers in addressing performance, harassment, grievance and disciplinary matters effectively in line with current employment law, while also ensuring that staffing budgets are managed and maintained within the financial guidelines.

The successful person will have the ability to problem solve with a proactive approach to finding solutions and have the ability to advise and communicate effectively. They will have experience of operating in an environment where there is an active trade union representative and negotiate and consult on day to day issues.

You will understand and relate to the pressures and sense of community that come from living in different areas, such as the Roundshaw Estate and wider Wallington, and you would be able to demonstrate that you have been successful in pastoring children and youth in the community. You would share our values to grow in courage, compassion and creativity as we seek to build a culture of belonging around Jesus. Ideally, you would have a qualification in children and youth work, but this is not essential if you have relevant experience.
