Key Objectives

Purpose of the Role: As a key leader within our Partnerships and Income Development team, you will be responsible for driving sustainable income growth through high-impact, strategic and philanthropic partnerships with trusts, foundations and corporate partners.

Fundraising experience

Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing College (BRWC) runs a curriculum of free peer and professional-led workshops and courses across the borough of Bromley. About the Role

We are recruiting a Manager to lead a remote team of IPS Grow Fidelity Reviewers working across England and Wales. The focus of the role is to support and develop Reviewers to have impact by delivering high quality Fidelity Reviews and communities of practice, driving quality of IPS provision and performance of delivery partners across England and Wales.

You will work collaboratively with the broader team to coordinate resources to ensure that contract KPIs are met.

The Team

The IPS Connect to Work team will sit within the wider IPS Grow team. IPS Grow is a national programme designed to support the expansion of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services across England and Wales. It is funded by NHS England (NHSE), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Line management, coaching, and field mentoring of team
• Stakeholder engagement and delivery of targeted interventions to support IPS services to deliver better outcomes
• Work across IPS Grow and contribute to national objectives

About You 

Skills, experience and qualifications we are looking for include:

• Managerial and leadership experience: Substantial experience managing teams and projects to successful delivery of performance expectations; leading by example and supporting the team to translate research into effective on the ground practice.
• Delivering tangible results in an IPS context: Previous background in an IPS leadership capacity; demonstrated ability to drive tangible improvements in outcomes for clients and work effectively with senior system stakeholders to unblock issues; deep understanding of the IPS model and how it applies in practice.
• Project management: Experience delivering complex projects against project plans, timelines and deliverables that are results focused.
• Data and IT: Strong IT and data analysis skills; ability to interpret and translate data meaningfully.
• Negotiation skills: Highly advanced negotiation and influencing skills and a willingness to tackle difficult conversations where needed to achieve the right results for services and clients.
• Collaborative approach: Skilled in building consensus and fostering cooperation with diverse groups.
• Workload management: Allocating and delegating tasks as necessary, able to deal with multiple and competing priorities using analytical skills to prioritise and meet deadlines.

Location: You can be based near one of the following office locations - Birmingham, Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, or Newcastle. 

We operate a hybrid model of work i.e. a combination of in-person and remote, with flexible days in the office depending on business need and your preferences. We would typically expect in-office attendance an average of one day per week.  

Your office is where you will usually attend in-person events, training sessions etc. though some travel, to other offices and other locations, will occasionally be expected.

 

Hours: We are looking for the right candidate and while we envisage this being a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) we are very open to flexible working arrangements such as part-time, compressed hours and/or flexitime.

Purpose of the Role:

As a key leader within our Partnerships and Income Development team, you will be responsible for creating, developing and delivering the Social Mobility Foundation’s Employer Programme – how we inform, influence and positively impact employer-led social mobility, and a source of income generation.

Reporting to the Head of Partnerships and Income Development, you’ll be the custodian of the Social Mobility Employer Index (SMEI) – our annual benchmarking and assessment tool for how UK employers recruit, retain and develop talent from all socioeconomic backgrounds and build inclusive workplaces. You'll have full product ownership, managing the delivery lifecycle from end-to-end: from marketing, to pipeline development and entrant submissions, data analysis, reporting and evaluation, as well as ongoing development and improvement.

In addition, by collaborating with existing partners who offer pro-bono consultancy, you’ll scope, develop and deliver new products, resources and services that equip employers with the knowledge and practical tools to improve social mobility in the workplace.

OVERALL PURPOSE

The primary purpose of the Night and Weekend Supervisor role is to oversee the provision of high-quality services. This includes supervising night care staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and providing direct support to clients to promote their well-being and independence.

GENUINE OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT

In accordance with the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1, it is a genuine occupational requirement (GOR) that the post holder is female. This requirement is essential for the role due to the following reasons:

1. Privacy and Dignity: The role involves working closely with female residents during sensitive hours (evenings, nights, and weekends) where privacy and dignity are paramount. Female residents may feel uncomfortable or distressed receiving support from a male/male presenting worker during these times, especially in situations involving personal care or emotional vulnerability.

2. Safety and Trust: Many of the residents may have experienced trauma, including domestic violence or abuse, often perpetrated by males. The presence of a female manager helps create a safe and supportive environment where these individuals can feel secure and trust the support being provided.

3. Legitimate Aim: The requirement ensures that the MPMT can maintain its commitment to providing gender-sensitive services tailored to the needs of vulnerable females. This aligns with the legitimate aim of protecting residents’ well-being and mental health.

4. Proportionality: The occupational requirement is a proportionate means of achieving the legitimate aim, as it directly addresses the needs of residents in a way that cannot be achieved through alternative measures, such as reallocating duties or employing male/male presenting staff for this role.

This GOR has been carefully considered to ensure compliance with legal standards under the Equality Act 2010 and is applied only where it is essential for fulfilling the primary responsibilities of this specific role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Supervision:

• Oversee the working practices of night staff to ensure high standards are maintained.
• Conduct regular meetings with direct reports for supervision and support, handling disciplinary or performance issues as needed.
• Carry out the induction and training of new staff and volunteers, and participate in team appraisals.

· Provide guidance, training, and support to night care staff

Resident Support:

• Participate in annual safeguarding training for children and adults and act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (Level 3).
• Provide emotional and practical support to distressed residents, fostering development and independence.
• Ensure the resident’s records are accurately maintained and updated.
• Foster a respectful and supportive environment for both residents and staff,

Compliance and Safety:

· Ensure adherence to all health and safety and safeguarding policies.

· Report any incidents or concerns to the Night and Weekend Manager promptly.

Administrative Duties:

· Assist in updating internal management information systems (e.g., INFORM) with relevant data.

· Support basic rent account management tasks as needed.

· Help coordinate staff schedules and cover arrangements for night shifts.

· Monitor and report on stock levels of essential supplies used during night shifts.

· Participate in occasional meetings or training sessions outside regular hours to stay informed about organisational updates.

· Ensure all administrative practices comply with MPMT’s policies and procedures.
