South East London Mind’s Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Employment Service helps people with mental health needs back into work. We aim to increase the number of people moving into paid employment from Community Mental Health Teams.
We are currently seeking two permanent IPS Employment Specialists to work as part of our team in Greenwich. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given).

About the role
This new role will be part of our Supporter Engagement team, which includes Special and Challenge Events Fundraising, Community Fundraising, Individual Giving and Supporter Care. Our Special Events programme has expanded significantly in recent years, and we
have ambitious plans as part of our new three-year strategy. As part of this, we organise a diverse range of fundraising events, including a Comedy Night, Garden Party, Sports Quiz, Carol Service and Gala dinner.
Working closely with the Head of Supporter Engagement, the Special Events Officer will play a key role in developing and managing our special events programme. This includes overseeing multiple aspects of event planning and execution, collaborating with the Marketing and Communications team to produce high-quality event materials and ensuring that every event runs smoothly. Additionally, you will help manage key relationships and maximise fundraising income.
A key focus of this role will be leading the organisation of our annual Carol Service at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, while also exploring opportunities to develop a new special event that diversifies our income streams and broadens our audience.
You will also stay ahead of industry trends, conducting competitor research and analysis to ensure our events remain innovative, competitive, and appealing to supporters.
Main duties
- Supporting the co-ordination and delivery of our special events programme.
- Manage the core elements of special events delivery such as the co-ordination of auction prizes, guest lists, guest requirements, admin and communications.
- Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to produce event materials including event programmes.
- Support the Philanthropy Officer with the organisation of our annual cultivation event.
- Support the Head of Supporter Engagement to identify opportunities for income growth from special events with the view to develop a new Special event within the portfolio.
- Ensure that appropriate and compliant risk assessment, health and safety procedures, protocols and policies are implemented for all special events.
Key responsibilities
- In conjunction with the Operations Coordinator Manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
- To participate in internal/external meetings as required, attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.

Senior Legal Officer

The Role
Join an independent What Works Centre, funded by a core grant from central government (the Department for Education), with additional funding from other governmental departments and philanthropic bodies. We are looking for a contract manager to work within the Operations team and support the grant giving and contracting function.
Key tasks include:
• Review and consolidation of existing grant and service agreements templates, ensuring compliance.
• Prepare internal guidance on using the contract templates
• Develop and maintain a register of agreed variations to standard T&Cs
• Advice on due diligence processes and legal considerations for collaborations with a variety of partners (e.g. charities, research institutes, universities, local authorities, government departments etc)
• Support project teams in putting in place agreements for new grants and services
• Supporting project teams with existing agreements
• Provide organisation wide training on standard T&Cs and managing contracts
• Develop robust and future proof contracting processes, to ensure ongoing compliance and best practice
• Act as a main point of contact with external legal advice providers

The Operations Officer will lead the development of a new licence-based partnership opportunity, which will support the DofE’s engagement of NGBs. This role will also support the engagement of NGBs as partners across the UK. This work contributes to the DofE’s commitment to improve access to meaningful activities for young people doing their DofE.
Whilst delivering this project, you will work alongside 4 other Operations Officers within the AAP team, who each manage a varied portfolio of AAPs for each Section of the DofE Award. You will also work closely with a Project Manager within the Strategic Programmes team to deliver this project. The role will be field-based, and applicants will work from home most of the time. This role will involve some travel to attend field-based meetings when necessary.

About the Role
As Major Gifts Officer, you will support delivery of agreed activity within the Major Gifts Team, successfully cultivating and stewarding a portfolio of mid-value individuals and trusts and delivering a range of agreed projects. About Aspens
Aspens is a charity that provides high-quality person-centred care and support to individuals on the autism spectrum and with learning disabilities, and their families. We provide an integrated network of services and support across the South-East to empower individuals to lead their lives as independently as possible.
We support children, families and adults across Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove, Surrey and the London Borough of Bexley. Our services include registered care homes, supported living, community outreach, day services, children and young people’s groups and support, specialist support, and online support for families and carers across the South-East.
Aspens has three charity shops in Bexhill, Crowborough and Paddock Wood and online stores on eBay, Etsy and Vinted. We also have The Bluebell Café and animal farm and a pre-loved donations centre in Pembury.
Purpose of Role
This role will work with direction from the Marketing and Communications Manager to deliver marketing campaigns to raise awareness of and promote Aspens’ services, income-generation activities including fundraising, retail and hospitality, and recruitment; engage with our internal and external stakeholders; and reach new audiences. A key part of the role will be internal ‘customer’ support, collaborating with departments across the charity to meet shared goals in line with Aspens’ strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign delivery
· Collaborate with the operations, fundraising, retail and recruitment teams to create and deliver comprehensive marketing campaigns to promote Aspens’ services, shops/e-commerce, hospitality, events and recruitment and meet shared goals in line with the charity’s strategic objectives.
· Create and deliver internal comms campaigns to drive engagement and increase retention of staff.
· Monitor and evaluate campaign performance by reporting on agreed objectives and KPIs.
Content Creation
· Develop relevant and engaging content to be utilised across channels, including, but not limited to website, social media, internal channels and email, in our shops, Bluebell Café and the community to reach new and existing stakeholders.
· Graphic design - production of assets for marketing purposes.
· Developing marketing and comms bank of photos and video; photography and videography at events.
· Working with external companies to produce marketing collateral (signage, banners, artwork, leaflets, branded items etc.) and managing stock levels of marketing materials.
· Review all materials to ensure alignment with Aspens’ brand guidelines and tone of voice.
Channel Management
• Under direction from Marketing and Communications Manager manage internal and external channels.
• External channels including, but not limited to: Aspens’ website and linked bookings sites; charity social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok); supporter communications (Mailchimp).
• Internal channels including, but not limited to: Staff intranet and staff newsletter (Mailchimp)
Brand Awareness
