About us: Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. About the role: This is an exciting time for Tender, with both the demand for and reach of our work expanding significantly in recent years. To support this expansion, we are recruiting for a Projects Coordinator to join the London and South East team. Working closely with the Programmes Manager and other Projects Coordinators, the postholder will develop, coordinate, and evaluate impactful projects aimed at promoting healthy relationships amongst children and young people in primary, secondary and specialist schools and settings across London and the South East. This a hybrid role, with some days working from home and some from our London office.

What you will be doing: This role combines hands-on project coordination with oversight of project targets, and stakeholder engagement. You will play a key role in ensuring that projects are planned and delivered smoothly, communicating regularly with settings and the facilitators delivering the workshops; ensuring projects are properly recorded, monitored, and evaluated.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate delivery of Tender’s creative education programmes for children and young people in London schools and specialist settings.

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) is a unique and dynamic membership organisation which comprises 15 of the UK’s leading humanitarian agencies. 

The DEC launches appeals when there is a humanitarian emergency of such magnitude to warrant a national UK response, with most DEC funds being raised over an intensive two-week period following a disaster. DEC fundraising appeals benefit from the combined expertise of our member agencies, resulting in wide-reaching appeals across high-profile TV, radio, and an increasing number of digital channels. 

Reporting to the Head of Public Fundraising, the Direct Marketing Manager (Acquisition) is responsible for delivering key direct marketing activities during appeals for major disasters or emergencies. You will work with key suppliers and agencies to implement the offline marketing campaign (e.g. press, outdoor, DRTV and direct mail), and the Public Fundraising team to utilise a large database of supporters for communication by email, SMS, and direct mail. You will identify new fundraising channels and ideas for increasing the impact of income generation. 

As Direct Marketing Manager (Acquisition), you will: 

• Contribute to and develop DEC direct marketing strategies
• Implement the direct marketing strategies during each appeal with income maximisation and supporter acquisition as the key focus
• Manage the capturing and analysis of results to ensure channel optimisation between appeals
• Lead the benchmarking process of DEC Member Agency fundraising performance
• Line manage one Direct Marketing Officer

Person specification:

• Strong direct marketing experience with a focus on high volume donor acquisition, with technical marketing expertise across a range of direct marketing channels and demonstrable knowledge of offline marketing techniques in press, outdoor, direct mail and telephone
• A proven track record of developing effective digital and direct marketing strategies, which resulted in significant growth of income
• A key driver for success in this role is the ability to work under extreme pressure during appeals and to very tight deadlines
• Experience of managing complex budgets and proven ability to manage a complex operational plan within very short timeframes and within budget
• Ideally, you will have experience of working in the international humanitarian aid sector

The Opportunity

About the Youth Endowment Fund

We’re here to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to change things.

In recent years, violent crime involving children has increased. This is a tragedy. Every child is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment that exists to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We will achieve this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. A big part of the movement that we need to build is in the world of health. We need to inspire and connect with health leaders across Integrated Care Services (ICBs), Local Health Boards (LHBs), Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and other relevant parts of the system. We need to spread what works and make our country safer for some of our most vulnerable children. We are looking for someone to lead on making this happen.

Key Responsibilities

We are making progress building the evidence of what works within and around health services to reduce violence. But the big risk is that nothing changes. That’s where you come in. Your role is to identify the best way to make change happen within relevant health services. Your main responsibilities will be ensuring that:

We have great relationships with the people who can make change happen.

This will include:

• Developing great relationships with senior policy makers, sector leaders and experts, including representing YEF in external meetings and speaking at events.
• Build a Strategic Advisory Board of leading experts across the health sector and keep members onside and excited about our work.
• Manage excellent Strategic Advisory Group meetings. You can read more about our Education Strategic Advisory Group here.

We deliver the health system recommendations. 

This will include:

• Helping to identify the right recommendations at a system level (such as changes in policy, regulation, inspection, funding, or guidance) that make it more likely highly vulnerable children get access to the right support at the right time.
• Creating and delivering a plan to deliver the health system reforms, working closely with leaders to make the change happen.
• Tracking progress carefully, being thoughtful and creative about when and how to change the plan. 

We work out the most effective ways to connect people with the evidence, then making those things happen.

This will include:

• Helping health leaders change how they plan or provide services to better protect children from violence, based on our Practice Guidance.
• You can read our first guidance for school, college, and alternative provision leaders here.
• Creating a plan to get people to follow our guidance, using what we know about how they think and behave.
• Continuously testing and improving our approach to get better results.

First-hand knowledge of the system that supports highly vulnerable children, particularly those at risk of or involved in violence. This includes children with conditions such as conduct disorder, psychosis, substance use disorder, ADHD, developmental language disorder, and traumatic brain injury. You understand the barriers these children face and what it takes to get them the right support.

Fairtrade Foundation are recruiting for a Senior Campaigns Manager to oversee the development of campaign actions, mechanics and activities that grow public support for fairer global trade. This role will lead on the development and design of campaign mobilisation approaches that drive up support and action from the UK public, particularly among younger people, and ensure ongoing public engagement with our advocacy goals.

This role will also support the Head of Campaigns in the development and delivery of the Foundation’s overarching campaigning strategy, including stakeholder engagement and coalition building, with the aim of driving change in partnership with businesses, government, civil society, and other decision-makers in order to achieve trade justice

About the role

Working with the Head of Programmes and Services to design and implement CASPA’s service delivery programmes in line with CASPA’s charitable objectives and strategic aims.

A Programme Delivery Manager (PDM) is responsible for managing supervisors, support workers and volunteers. PDMs ensure members’ developmental needs are central to all activity planning and delivery and are responsible for building and managing community partnerships. Key responsibilities include: 

• Designing, planning and implementing programmes in line with our strategic aims.

• Manage and track programme and activity budgets, ensuring value for money and efficient allocation of funds.

• Champion member engagement and work with staff to identify needs in our programme and service portfolio.

• Safeguarding responsibilities including first point of contact as required, managing safeguarding records and provide safeguarding guidance to staff and volunteers.

With oversight by the Director of Science and Regulatory Affairs, you will support the collection, preparation, organisation, and use of the Science team’s key information resources which contribute to ensuring that our work and external communications are underpinned by accurate and robust evidence.

You will support the Science team in inputting to marketing and fundraising efforts as well the preparation of press releases and other forms of external communication. Your work will contribute to ensuring that the organisation’s advocacy, media and supporter communications are based on accurate, evidence-based science.

You will also work with the organisation’s press and media function to help maintain the quality of media coverage relating to animal testing and animal-free science. In collaboration with colleagues, stakeholders, and partners you will work to support research and contribute to the production of high-quality scientific material which can be used to advance the agenda to end all animal testing, including through the provision of the organisation’s digital education service.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the preparation, organisation, and maintenance of key Science team information resources which underpin our work and provide support for their use across the organisation. This includes responsibility for maintaining a well-organised central knowledge base to ensure our work is easily tracked, accessed and referenced.
• Support and input into research and contribute to the production of high-quality scientific material, including briefings, reports, presentations, posters, and summaries of the latest developments to support the Science team’s work. RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operations Director reports directly to the Trustee Board and is responsible for the following:

1. Working with the Trustees

• Overall vision and mission setting: Developing the use of the services and the building and increase the impact of Ivy Street for the benefit of the local community.
• Fundraising: Raising funds from a variety of sources to ensure the long term financial security of the charity, particularly focussing on rental income from the facility.
• Financial: Overseeing finance (with the assistance of a Trustee Treasurer)  and ensuring that regular, accurate financial reports are provided to the Trustees and accurate records are kept, and providing an Annual Report for the annual accounts.
• Compliance: Ensuring that all legal requirements are met:
  • Health and Safety
  • HR
  • Safeguarding
  • All other policies and procedures including risk management.
• Community Impact: Nurturing of outside relationships with other organisations and services.
• Monitoring: Overseeing the quality and monitoring of our services.

2. Day to Day Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a robust rental strategy to increase the use of the building for the long term financial security of Ivy Street and benefit of the local community.
• Networking with other organisations, charity partners and donors.
• Work with the staff team and trustees to develop and monitor the programme of activities and services.
• Overseeing staff and the activity programme.
• Overseeing the maintenance of the fabric of the building.
• Promoting the charity’s work with other organisations and in the local community.

The Bumblebee Conservation Trust (the Trust) is looking for a part-time, 28 hours per week, Marketing Communications Manager.

If you are looking to join a talented and creative team that is passionate about nature, then we would love to hear from you. Our vision is of a future where bumblebees are thriving and valued by everyone; marketing and communications is central to us achieving that.

Your role will be to lead the Marketing and Communications team to develop and deliver a Marketing and Communications Plan that inspires and enables people from all backgrounds to take action to support bumblebees. Actions may include donating/ fundraising, political advocacy, volunteering/ surveying, or creating bumblebee habitats (everything from a window box up!).

You will work with colleagues across the Trust to deliver both national and project level campaigns and strengthen the Trust’s brand, website, PR, and social media engagement.

You will be a self-motivated creative thinker with proven leadership and management skills and experience in delivering engaging campaigns across a variety of media channels.
