Summary
Do you have experience supporting students with SEN? Harris Academy Clapham is seeking to appoint an exceptional, experienced qualified teacher as SENCO.
?
Main Areas of Responsibility
The purpose of your role will be:
- To ensure that Academy practice is compliant with the SEND Code of Practice (2014) and other relevant statutory requirements
- To work with the Academy Leadership team ensuring an ethos of Inclusion within the Academy and a culture of high aspirations for students with SEND
- To work with the Academy Leadership team ensuring the implementation of the Academy SEND Policy
- To ensure that the provision of SEND support is in accordance with the aims of the Academy and curricular policies
- To be responsible for maintaining an accurate and up-to-date Academy SEND Profile
- To be responsible for the accurate identification of SEND need across the Academy, ensuring a rigorous and thorough assessment process
- To be a role model with regard to Quality First Teaching and differentiation within your own teaching practice
- To be responsible for the embedding of Quality First Teaching across the Academy
- To be responsible for the Academy SEND Offer, ensuring high quality targeted interventions enabling students with SEND to make better progress
- In consultation with the Academy Leadership Team, to provide a programme of professional development with regard to SEND, that ensures all staff have the knowledge, skills and understanding to plan teaching and learning effectively and enable students with SEND to make expected progress
- To be responsible for tracking the progress of students with SEND, using a wide range of Academy data relating to progress, attainment, referrals, exclusions, detentions and attendance to identify barriers to learning
- To deploy staff and resources according to the needs of SEND students
- To write a termly report to the Governing body on progress and developments
Qualifications & Experience
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- QTS (or equivalent) and a good undergraduate degree
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development relevant to the SENCO role or willingness to undertake this training.
- Knowledge and understanding of national priorities, current curriculum development and an ability to design and implement an innovate curriculum based on students' needs
- A thorough understanding of quality assurance techniques
- An appreciation of student motivation
- An understanding of how professional development contributes to the raising of quality
- SEN experience in a secondary school
- Evidence of successful teaching experience

We are seeking an enthusiastic Careers Adviser to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Careers Team. In this key position, you will work at our Harris Lower Academy Wilsden in Brent Borough, supporting students to make informed, ambitious and aspirational decisions about their futures.
You will be joining an experienced and knowledgeable team of advisers, from whom you can gain advice and support. Working closely with your colleagues, you will help shape and deliver a high-impact CEIAG programme.
Whether it’s further education, apprenticeships, traineeships or employment, you’ll play a vital role in guiding students towards the post-16 and post-18 pathways that best match their goals and aspirations. MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
As part of this role, you will:
- Collaborate with Careers Leads across academies to design and implement a high-impact careers education programme aligned with the latest statutory guidance, including the enhanced Gatsby Benchmarks and each academy’s improvement priorities
- Plan and deliver engaging careers assemblies that expand students’ awareness of post-16 and post-18 pathways, alongside other relevant career-related topics
- Provide impartial, tailored career guidance through one-to-one meetings and group sessions that empower students to make informed, realistic and adaptable decisions about their futures
- Accurately record all guidance interactions and agreed actions on Unifrog, ensuring student data is kept up to date and accessible
- Offer targeted support to students navigating post-16 and post-18 transitions, including referrals to specialist services for those with additional needs, such as SEND
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, networks, and partners to enrich the careers and higher education offer and maximise student outcomes
- Track, monitor and report on student aspirations to inform strategic planning and targeted interventions
- Engage parents and carers in the careers guidance process, keeping them informed and involved in their child’s journey, including attendance at parents’ evenings
- Facilitate meaningful employer encounters that inspire students and broaden their understanding of the world of work
- Attend key events such as results days and enrolment days to provide on-the-spot careers support and guidance
- Support colleagues across the team by sharing best practice, offering shadowing opportunities and contributing to a collaborative learning culture
- Actively contribute to Careers Adviser team meetings by sharing insights, experiences or resources that enhance practice and support team development

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for dedicated School Mental Health Practitioners to join the Harris Federation’s central mental health team and make a meaningful impact in secondary schools across London.
You will be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team led by our Lead Mental Health Practitioner, receiving regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development and helping to shape the future of mental health support in education.
In this full-time role, you will deliver evidence-based, low-intensity mental health interventions to students aged 11–18 across up to three Harris secondary academies. You will work directly with students through 1:1 sessions, group work and whole-school wellbeing initiatives, helping to shape a culture of mental health awareness and support.
You will be based in schools for four days per week, primarily in South, South East and South West London, and occasionally in North London. Travel between schools is required.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing tailored 1:1 mental health and wellbeing support to students and their families
- Facilitating small group interventions and psychoeducational sessions
- Running drop-in sessions during break and lunch times for students experiencing mild to moderate distress
- Collaborating with school staff to promote mental health awareness and training
- Contributing to school-wide risk assessments and wellbeing strategies
- Maintaining accurate records and report on outcomes using national standards
- Sharing best practices and innovations across our network of schools

Today, we provide expert specialist palliative and end of life care to over 2,500 patients each year from our state-of-the-art inpatient unit and in the community across seven central & south London boroughs.
In August 2019, the Care Quality Commission rated our care as Outstanding, and the impact of our new clinical model of care introduced in 2022 was recognised with a national Palliative and End of Life Care Award in 2025.

The Purpose of the Role

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex strategic projects; solution-oriented and able to drive results independently**
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, especially senior leadership, and navigate difficult discussions**
• Strong analytical skills – analyze, interpret, and translate quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights**
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills – communications are clear, concise and tailored to the relevant audience**
• Strong organizational and time-management skills – proven ability to prioritize against simultaneous demands and deliver at a fast pace
• Highly collaborative and effective in a dynamic, cross-functional global team structure
• Adaptable; respond enthusiastically and positively to ambiguity
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Experience:
• Demonstrable experience (7-10 years) in a strategy, consulting, or business transformation role, with a track record of high performance.

• Experience partnering with senior and executive leadership as a strategic advisor, shaping key decisions and enabling leaders to effectively influence and drive strategy
Camden Learning is looking for a new Independent Chair to lead its Board and support the Executive team.
Camden Learning is a company limited by guarantee, whose current members are the schools and colleges of Camden. The board comprises both independent non-executives and elected representatives of the member schools. The current Chair, Dame Christine Gilbert, is leaving after eight years following her appointment as Chair of Ofsted. Camden Learning is therefore looking to appoint a new Independent Chair to lead its Board and support the Executive team.
Our education strategy to 2030 – Building Back Stronger – is well underway with many initial successes but there is much more to do. At the heart of this is a clear commitment – not only to excellence, but to excellence alongside equity. That means ensuring that we meet and exceed the needs and expectations of all, especially our most vulnerable learners.
