We are seeking a Trustee with wide-ranging digital expertise and a career background to that enables them to bring expertise, vision and leadership in all matters digital to the Board. We see this as covering, in particular, CRM systems, social media, GDPR, digital advertising and marketing and AI.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to champion digital, assess the opportunities and the risks that may arise and support Age UK Islington in keeping up with the rest of the charity sector.
The trustee will work with the Board of Trustees and management by maintaining an overview of the organisation’s digital systems and social media presence, ensuring effectiveness, advising and guiding on requirements and best practice and providing advice, assistance and information to the staff team and trustees.

Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity enables families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness to make the most of time together, providing expert, practical and emotional support, where they need it for as long as it is needed.
As a Volunteer Driver, you will help to give additional support to the families we work with by providing safe, comfortable and reliable transport, enabling them to travel safely to healthcare appointments, school and to other activities.
Your role may include:
- Providing transport for families to and from home or hospital appointments, according to their specific needs
- Providing transport to enable families to attend Rainbow Trust support groups
- Transporting siblings to and from trips or activities at school orwith other providers, as and when required
What we’re looking for:
- A confident, calm and patient driver
- Experience of interacting with people from a wide variety of backgrounds
- Experience of interacting with children and young people
- An ability to empathise with families in stressful circumstances
- Non-judgemental, warm, friendly and with a sense of humour
- A commitment to following our policies regarding safeguarding, professional boundaries and confidentiality
- A full driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years, and use of your own vehicle is required for this role
- All ages from 21 onwards are welcome
Your commitment:
- We ask that you are available to volunteer regularly. Most of our drivers support us flexibly on a weekly or monthly basis, depending on family need
- Times can vary between 8am - 6pm, Monday – Friday, depending on appointment times, but there is flexibility depending on the needs of the family and your availability
- To enable you to get the most out of your volunteer role, we are looking for volunteers who are available for the next 12 months
Training and Support
- A dedicated member of Rainbow Trust staff will guide and support you in your work
- You will receive a full induction to the charity and a programme of training relevant to your role, to help you get the most from your time with us
- Training will cover areas such as safeguarding, active listening skills, bereavement, health and safety, confidentiality and GDPR
- Further modules will be available for you if you would like to develop your knowledge
- All care volunteers will receive regular one to one support and more formal supervision sessions

Do you have a passion for cooking and enjoy spending time in the kitchen? We are looking for volunteers to support our services to prepare food for our accommodation based, day centres and drop-in centres across London and southeast.
You will be giving back to your community by assisting our chefs and kitchen staff from preparing the kitchen, cooking hot food recipes, chopping vegetables, dishing up food and serving people who use our services!

What you will be doing
- Support the cook to manage budgets and purchase ingredients alongside the people who use our services
- Support the cook in the kitchen with food and meal preparation
- Support the cook with maintaining hygiene food standard levels in the kitchen
The skills you need
- Willingness to complete Food Safety Training
- Knowledge regarding cooking, food hygiene and allergies
- Ability to provide a supportive, and inclusive atmosphere
- Calm and patient approach

Are you passionate about empowering young people and coordinating impactful services? Urban Youth is looking for a dedicated and proactive Youth Work Volunteers to join our team. In this role, you’ll help shape and oversee the delivery of engaging, meaningful youth services that inspire and uplift young people across London.
Which roles and areas are we looking for?
- Managers: Manages a youth project or activity, as well as manages and motivates volunteer youth workers.
- Lead Youth Workers: Leads on youth work sessions or classes and ensures high quality activities and provides leadership.
- Youth Worker: Engages directly with young people, facilitating activities, mentoring, and providing support
- Mentor: Offers one-on-one guidance to help young people develop skills, confidence, and resilience
- Befriender: Builds relationships with young people, providing companionship and emotional support.
- Activity Coordinator: Plans and organises events, workshops, and recreational activities.
- Safeguarding Officer: Ensures the safety and well-being of all participants, managing safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Youth Work Trainer: Provides training for volunteers, around youth work, including skills and competencies. This includes on site, remotely and also in a training room.
