THE ANGLICAN COMMUNION OFFICE (ACO) IS RECRUITING FOR AN OPERATIONS OFFICER

 The successful candidate will work closely with our Admin and Logistics Director, across a wide range of tasks and projects including;

· providing administrative support for meetings of the Instruments of Communion and other Inter-Anglican bodies

· supporting travel and logistics arrangements, acting as lead contact with the ACO’s travel agents 

· providing support to the IT Project Manager & Technical Consultant assisting staff with IT queries 

· providing support to the Facilities Manager, assisting with guesthouse bookings, procurement and health and safety requirements 

The Operations Officer will support a diverse portfolio of projects, you’ll also liaise with different departments at the ACO, Anglican commissions, networks and partners around the world.

The Anglican Communion Office (ACO) is the official Secretariat of the Anglican Communion, a worldwide network of Anglican churches, in over 165 countries. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. Your responsibilities will include maintaining payroll data, updating employee records, verifying timesheets, logging staff absences, and addressing payroll queries swiftly and effectively. You will also support payroll reconciliations for SSP, SMP, SPP, and pension accounts, as well as assist with year-end tasks such as audits, PSA, and P11D submissions. Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll, including inputting and reconciling timesheets, calculating holiday pay, and updating payroll records.
• Support year-end activities such as PSA and P11D calculations and submissions, ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations and internal policies.
• Manage pension contributions and submissions, ensuring accurate data uploads to pension portals and compliance with scheme rules and statutory requirements.
• Administer statutory and occupational sick pay in line with current legislation and company policies, with a strong understanding of Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) rules and accurate processing of sickness absences.
• Maintain payroll data integrity through regular system updates, data cleansing, and the implementation of necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy.
• Deliver a high level of service by responding promptly and professionally to payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders.
• Partner with the Payroll Manager and Finance team on ad hoc projects, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Foster strong working relationships across departments to support seamless payroll operations and effective communication.
• Commit to working one additional day per month during payroll processing periods to meet operational demands.
• Provide cover for the Payroll Manager during periods of absence, contributing to the continuity of critical payroll cycles and strategic projects.

Education & Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent with good results in Maths & English

• 3 years minimum experience in a similar role

The National Lottery Community Fund is recruiting for two External Affairs Officers, key roles in our External Affairs Team within our newly restructured communications function.

The External Affairs Officer role is part of our ambitious transformation as we implement a significant pivot in our communications approach – building on our support for grant-making to demonstrate the powerful impact communities have in strengthening society and improving lives.

You will help position the Fund as a convening force in civil society, supporting our sectoral and political engagement during a time of exciting change.

Working across the External Affairs team, you will research and analyse policy, political and sectoral developments that affect our work, helping create clear briefings for meetings and events and arranging visits as appropriate. By horizon scanning and monitoring the external landscape, you will help the Fund respond proactively and effectively to emerging issues.

You will build and maintain relationships with parliamentary staff, officials and sector peers. By gathering intelligence, managing and supporting internal and external events, you will contribute to the Fund's engagement with decision-makers and opinion leaders. Your research and analysis will strengthen our policy positions and advocacy work.

Our External Affairs Officers play an important role in supporting the External Affairs team to deliver an effective, insight-driven strategy that articulates the Fund's missions (nationally and regionally) to critical stakeholders across the UK.

Key responsibilities :

• Responsible for providing public affairs, policy and stakeholder engagement support across the External Affairs team, working on the development and delivery of our External Affairs plan, including management and delivery of events.
• Lead the development of briefings and other assets to support the delivery of external affairs work through high quality research and analysis
• Monitor the external political and policy landscape for developments that are relevant to the Fund and advise colleagues on these as appropriate
• Represent the Fund at networking and stakeholder events
• Develop a network of key internal and external contacts in the public affairs and policy space to further the Fund's aims
• Work collaboratively with the other External Affairs Officers to share skills and intelligence
• Cross-collaboration with the Communications Strategy and External Affairs teams to ensure our engagement strategy across the full communications function (media, corporate communications, brand, campaigns and public affairs) is impactful and cohesive
• Support the effective use of the Stakeholder Relationship Management (SRM) system

About this role

As the Counselling Coordinator your responsibilities would include: -

We are currently looking for a Growth and Development Worker based in England to join our team. This is an externally funded post which will be focused on opening new provision and supporting existing provision in order to reduce waiting lists within specific funding areas. This is a very varied and rewarding role that requires someone who is self-motivated, organised, creative, tenacious, positive, IT competent and with a real interest in people. You need to be able to coach, empower and inspire our volunteers and cadets, both in person and remotely, to grow the Sea Cadets.

Promoting flexible volunteering and the volunteer strategy
Assisting with running our social media accounts

Role Purpose

We have been operating the North Lanarkshire Befriending Project for 25 years. Our team of adult Volunteer Befrienders provide 1:1 befriending support to Young Carers.

We recruit, train, induct and support Volunteer Befrienders who can be a positive, reliable and trustworthy role model to young people aged 8-18. Befrienders are matched 1:1 with a young person and provide bespoke emotional, social and practical support according to the young person’s needs, interests and goals. Together, they spend regular time together, engaging in fun community activities.

Through our support, Young Carers have the chance of a break, become less isolated, more confident and resilient, have enhanced physical and mental health, and are more included in their community.

In this role, you will lead all aspects of the day-to-day delivery of the project. The right candidate would be someone with a good knowledge and understanding of “best practice” in Volunteer Management /Befriending Services, and with experience in supporting children and young people.

About Seashell Trust

Originally founded in 1823, Seashell Trust is a nationally recognised and registered charity based in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport. The Trust comprises of the Royal School Manchester, the Royal College Manchester, bespoke Residential Care Homes, Outreach Health and Family Services that support over 8,000 people a year. We provide expert education and residential care for children and young adults with multiple complex disabilities including, profound learning difficulties,

We are currently in the midst of the largest fundraising appeal in our 200-year history which will see our campus become the national centre of excellence for the education and residential care of children and young adults with the most complex disabilities.

In 2015 we raised £10 million to build our residential care facility Sir Norman Stoller Way and in 2023, opened The Moulding Foundation building, a £25 million home for Royal School Manchester. We are now turning to the next phase of the campus development, to build a new £30 million home for our Royal College Manchester. The Ged Mason building is due to open in early 2026.

About the role

Your role will contribute to Seashell’s ambitious plans to grow income over the next five years, so that we can deliver the very best education and care for our children and young adults.

Key Responsibilities

• Raise income in line with agreed personal and team fundraising targets
• Develop and prepare bespoke funding applications for capital, restricted and unrestricted projects
• Maintain and develop existing relationships with small and medium-sized trusts and foundations and support  prospecting to grow the portfolio.
• Record financial and other data relating to trusts, foundations and major donors on our CRM, in line with GDPR guidelines.
• Maintain accurate income records and ensure donations are acknowledged in a timely and appropriate way.
• Share project information, budgets and statistics gathered for appeals with the wider fundraising team.
• Ensure student information in funding appeals is appropriate and consented for use.
• Work with the fundraising team to support tours of the campus and host supporters at Seashell fundraising events on occasional evenings and weekends.

What you will need for the role: 

• Previous experience in a fundraising role for a charitable organisation.
• Demonstratable track record of income generation through trust and foundation fundraising.
• Knowledge of technology and IT Systems, including Microsoft Office and CRMs.
