About the role

Our Senior Direct Marketing Executive (Creative Lead) will play an important role in delivering our multi-million-pound campaign at winter and work across Shelter’s individual supporter digital recruitment channels, propositions and products.

You’ll be working alongside an ambitious team delivering the individual giving programme & strategy. You’ll bring digital fundraising (or marketing) expertise, an audience understanding and your creative flair to develop standout digital campaigns.

Role specifics

You’ll develop and deliver audience-led and creatively inspired Individual Giving campaigns that attract, convert and retain cash, regular giving and lottery supporters. Managing projects from planning and creative development through to evaluation, you’ll create compelling multi-channel campaigns, oversee budgets and performance targets, and use testing and insight to optimise results and supporter lifetime value. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, agencies and suppliers, champion an inclusive and positive team culture, and ensure all fundraising activity meets relevant regulatory and data protection requirements.

About the team

 This post sits within the Individual Giving Team, which is responsible for delivering a diverse programme of work with ambitious income targets that support our organisational strategy, across cash, regular giving and lottery products.

About the role

To provide management information, business intelligence, and insight across Shelter through the design, development, and maintenance of datasets, reports, dashboards, and systems using Microsoft Power BI and other analytical tools.

Role specifics

To succeed, you’ll need proven experience of analysing, interpreting and presenting datasets using Power BI and working with CRMs and other systems. You’ll also need excellent Excel skills and familiarity with database structures such as SQL. Comfortable working with colleagues at all levels across an organisation, you enjoy nothing more than collating, analysing and disseminating business intelligence or helping others develop intelligence from reports and dashboards. What’s more, you’re keen to get involved in a variety of projects as part of a strategic programme aimed at improving the way we work.

Part of our Strategy Enablement Directorate, the Data & Insight Team delivers high-quality data and database management, administrative services and business insight to the department and other teams across Shelter. Custodians of supporter data for its full life cycle, running through everything we do is a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data quality and embedding a culture of standards, both in terms of compliance and best practice across the department.
