Job description

The Vegan Society is an anagram of The Nicest Voyage. Quite fitting, we think, as for many people veganism is a journey – and a pretty remarkable one at that. Regardless of where you are on your vegan journey, our staff are on hand to make it easier, healthier and more fun. The Vegan Society makes veganism more accessible and an easily adopted approach by supporting individuals, policy and decision makers, caterers, manufacturers, health care professionals and the media.

We currently have a vacancy for a Sales and Customer Service Officer, available on a 6 month fixed term contract, with a possibility of this becoming a permanent job after this period.

As Sales and Customer Service Officer, you will:

Be responsible for the sales and fulfilment of orders from The Vegan Society web shop and other sales channels. This includes our primary product VEG 1 (Vegan Multivitamin) and other branded merchandise and gifts.

This post will provide excellent customer service to customers, monitor stock levels, whilst managing a significant element of the sales admin and reporting.

The role will work collaboratively with the Marketing Team to facilitate activities that will support business grow and profitability across the UK and worldwide.

To be considered as our Sales and Customer Service Officer, you will need;

  • Experience of delivering effective customer service.
  • Understands the value of income to a charity
  • Good telephone manner and customer-service skills
  • You must be willing to adhere to a vegan lifestyle for the duration of your employment.
