The Senior Fundraising & Grants Manager will lead the development and delivery of Bite Back's fundraising strategy with a primary focus on trusts, foundations and institutional grants. RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Fundraising and Grants Manager is accountable for:

Fundraising Strategy & Planning

• Design, deliver and monitor a values-aligned fundraising strategy, with a primary focus on trusts and foundations.

• Set annual income targets, track progress against goals, and report performance to senior leadership and trustees.

• Identify new income opportunities to support Bite Back’s strategic growth and impact.

• Develop and maintain a 12–24 month grant pipeline to forecast income and manage funding cycles.

Grants from Trusts and Foundations

• Coordinate grant management and tracking: maintain accurate records of deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.

• Lead workstreams, working closely with the Brand Manager and leadership team for support, in order to deliver meetings, presentations, and reports to funders.

• Represent Bite Back at relevant events, funder briefings, and networking opportunities.

• Promote a culture of fundraising awareness and collaboration across the organisation.

Fundraising Development

• Work with the Communications and Operations teams to explore and pilot small-scale public fundraising initiatives (e.g. individual giving, online campaigns, web donation tool).

• Work with the CEO and Communications team to develop a new strategy to build a strong and committed donor network of high net worth individuals aligned with Bite Back’s values

• Develop systems, messaging, and supporter journeys that reflect Bite Back’s youth-led identity.

Our Peripatetic Team provide front-line support to Solace’s Advice, Community and Accommodation-based Services across London. Crisis Intervention Workers enable our services to deliver a consistent high standard of service.

The team was created in order to have trained, skilled staff ready to cover gaps in service and facilitate the continued smooth running of services, proactively supporting women and children who have experienced domestic abuse.  They are required to go into different teams and quickly establish themselves and provide support in times where staff teams may be struggling.

About the Role

In all services, peri workers provide nonjudgmental, confidential, and psychologically informed support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. Typical tasks include risk assessment, safety planning, and working with survivors to develop individual support plans.

Peri workers have the opportunity to work in a variety of roles across Solace’s services. Working across departments offers peri workers the ability to continually develop their knowledge, casework skills, advocacy skills, multi-agency working, and ability to manage and thrive in a changing environment.

The role will involve commuting to sites across London, and although hybrid working may be available in some projects it is not possible for all. Travel is taken into consideration when confirming placements, however you should be prepared for longer commutes.

As a Senior, you will need strong case management and the knowledge and confidence to advise others as you will often be in roles that involve supporting other staff members in their risk management and also career development. Your placements may involve partnership working and process development.

We are recruiting a Training Manager to run this programme end to end. You will be supporting and motivating staff in achieving outcomes and meeting targets within a payment-by-results initiative focused on preventing or relieving homelessness among single refugee individuals.

This involves meticulous analysis of data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and the production of comprehensive reports. Additionally, responsibilities include building and managing relationships with landlords in the private sector, expanding the housing inventory, fostering connections throughout the council, overseeing referrals, managing financial transactions and budgets, and ensuring accurate data input and monitoring.

Here's what the team will be looking for

You demonstrate strong knowledge and/or relevant qualifications in housing and homelessness legislation, including the Housing Act and Homelessness Reduction Act, with a sound understanding of welfare benefits, welfare reform and Health & Safety regulations.

You have experience preventing and relieving homelessness, with practical skills in securing accommodation in the private rented sector, navigating tenancy agreements, understanding landlord–tenant relationships and local housing markets.

You have a proven ability to manage and support staff, including inductions, supervision, training, motivation, and handling grievance matters professionally. You also have solid safeguarding knowledge and can apply procedures effectively to protect clients.

You are confident coordinating work across multiple agencies, meeting deadlines through effective communication, organisation and leadership. You can build and negotiate strong partnerships to enhance services and secure positive outcomes for clients.

Highly self-motivated and able to work under pressure, you manage competing priorities effectively. You possess strong literacy, numeracy and record-keeping skills, with the ability to analyse information and communicate clearly with external agencies. You are flexible and willing to work outside office hours and travel when required.

The Role

We’re looking for a proactive, practical and people-focused House Assistant to help keep Future Dreams House running smoothly day to day.

This role is a mix of front-of-house, operations, and sustainability. You’ll be making sure the building looks and feels like a 5* space, greeting and supporting visitors, coordinating volunteers, and helping us embed eco-conscious practices across everything we do.

You’ll work closely with the House Manager and wider team to ensure every visitor feels safe, welcome, and cared for – from the moment they step through the door.

Key Responsibilities

House Operations & Maintenance

• Open and close the House and carry out daily checks for security, safety, and presentation.
• Keep all spaces – including communal areas, toilets, kitchens and therapy rooms – tidy, clean and well-stocked.
• Regular trips to the supermarket and post office.
• Run errands (e.g. flowers, supplies), manage waste and recycling, and support laundry of towels and linens.
• Set up rooms for workshops and events (furniture, AV equipment, yoga mats, refreshments).
• Support minor maintenance tasks and contractor visits as needed.

Front of House & Visitor Support

• Provide a warm welcome to everyone arriving at Future Dreams House.
• Help visitors sign in, complete forms and find where they need to go.
• Offer refreshments, give House tours and help maintain a calm, supportive environment.
• Answer phone and email enquiries with empathy and efficiency.
• Support with bookings and keep systems and calendars accurate.

Administration & Communications

• Manage the main info@ inbox, responding promptly and professionally.
• Keep room and workshop booking calendars up to date.
• Handle incoming and outgoing post, including packaging, labelling, post office runs and box recycling.
• Respond to information requests and send out materials such as leaflets and visitor information.

Volunteer Support

• Work alongside volunteers, guiding and supporting them through their tasks.
• Help coordinate volunteer activity, especially when the House Manager is away.
• Provide simple, on-the-job training around tasks such as front desk support, room set-up and kitchen duties.

Sustainability

• Act as the sustainability champion for Future Dreams House.
• Promote eco-friendly practices around energy use, recycling, waste reduction and sourcing.
• Help shape and track progress against our sustainability goals.
• Engage the wider team and volunteers in greener ways of working.

Health & Safety

• Act as a First Aider and Fire Marshal (full training provided).
• Support fire safety checks, drills and wider health & safety procedures.
• Help during evacuations and report any incidents or hazards promptly.

Organisational Support

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across programmes, fundraising, and operations.
• Support internal and external events as needed.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties in line with the role.
