Reporting to the Head of Programme Funding, you will work across the fundraising team, supporting programme set up and reporting, in line with key funding criteria and SOS Children’s Villages monitoring frameworks. You will work with colleagues in SOS Children’s Villages UK and internationally, building capacity in programme design, monitoring and reporting. This includes working with colleagues in multiple countries, collaborating on best practice MEAL work whilst being guided by local knowledge and expertise.

You will hold oversight of the portfolio of programmes being funded by SOS Children’s Villages UK, ensuring the UK based team have the tools, resources and processes to monitor programmes, in partnership with our international colleagues. You will manage reporting timelines, supporting your colleagues to ensure effective delivery of programme reporting, according to the needs of SOS Children’s Villages UK and external donors. You will provide hands on support for the monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting of programmes, taking a lead role in the development of frameworks that will ensure effective capture of data enabling excellent reporting.

We are embarking on ambitious work around data analysis and research, and any experience you have in these fields will be highly valuable, and the appetite to explore them is essential.

You will be an active participant in networks, both globally and within the UK, contributing to our organisational knowledge on how to better monitor and analyse key areas such as gender and inclusivity within our programmes.

This is a home-based role, with regular travel within the UK as well as some international travel which you must be able to undertake.

We are looking for someone with comprehensive knowledge of MEAL systems and processes, and with at least four years of experience in a monitoring, evaluation and/or impact assessment role.

About the role

About the Role

Through our range of programmes, we work to inspire and empower young people, whatever their background to succeed in work and life. Role purpose

The purpose of this role is to lead, develop and deliver WorldSkills UK’s external Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) programmes supported by stakeholder engagement strategies across our network of industry, education and government. The role will ensure that we engage external stakeholders to help deliver our ambition to be a leader, partner and ally in creating positive change for ED&I in the skills sector.

Key tasks and responsibilities

1. Deliver positive action activity for change:

• Support the development and delivery of WorldSkills UK’s external ED&I strategy. Ensure it is fit for purpose, has recognised long term goals and will deliver measurable change, reflecting organisational priorities around increased engagement with ethnic minority groups and females. Provide an overarching framework and help further develop strategic KPIs for our ED&I work, ensuring effective use of data, monitoring progress and performance.
• Work with the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager to develop action plans that will drive our continuous improvement:
  • Support our skills competition development programmes to increase the diversity of young people engaged
  • Support the development of role models to showcase the impact of our work and encourage diversity in key areas of industry, including future priority skill areas
  • Support the development of learning resources that aid engagement with underrepresented groups
  • Support teams to ensure ED&I matters are considered and addressed as key components of all strategies, plans and programmes.

2. Manage the ED&I Advisory Group:

• This is a unique opportunity to work with experienced and prominent senior individuals from across education and industry who are invested in driving the agenda for ED&I.
• Lead the administration and ongoing development of our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Advisory Group.
• Engage the Group to help support, advise and challenge WorldSkills UK on its actions to remove obstacles and barriers faced by young people from under-represented backgrounds in our programmes.
• Report regularly to the Group on progress against KPI’s and facilitate reports for the WorldSkills UK Board.

3. Project Manage the ED&I Heroes Awards

• The Awards is an established flagship event which provides a platform for WorldSkills UK to celebrate success with its partners, amplify best practice and inspire others to drive change across the skills systems in education and business.
• Project manage delivery of the annual Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Heroes Awards, supported by relevant internal teams
  • Establish the nominations process
  • Co-ordinate the judging panel
  • Organise the awards ceremony
  • Manage the support of the awards partners.

4. Manage strategic relationships

• Manage a portfolio of ED&I focused Strategic Partnerships with organisations from across the skills sector, facilitating their support and engagement with our EDI programmes.
• Grow our network of partners to widen our reach, help further drive work in this area and collectively impact on the sector.
• Advise and support the development of the CEO’s international activities on ED&I with WorldSkills International (WSI).

5. Raise the profile of WorldSkills UK’s ED&I work:

• Work with teams across the organisation to support our Mission to ignite a national and global movement to help more young people, regardless of their background, get the best possible start in work and life.
• Support the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager and Marketing and Communications Team to showcase the impact of our programmes:
  • Help to externally profile and articulate the value and impact of our activities using the channels and tools available
  • Seek opportunities to advocate for our work through stakeholder engagement and networking
  • Support the Corporate Partnerships team to identify and secure commercial income related to our ED&I initiatives.
  • Work across the organisation to build on existing external relationships and develop new strategic partnerships that reinforce our position as a skills sector leader.

6. Internal ED&I Liaison:

• Whilst not responsible for WorldSkills UK’s internal ED&I activities and agenda it is anticipated that the post holder will spend up to 10% of their time supporting and working with the Corporate Affairs team on internal ED&I matters, with the remaining 90% spent on external work.
• It is not essential that the postholder has extensive experience in this area.

This role is office based (as above) but with flexible hybrid working. It is expected the postholder will attend the office at least once or twice a week.

Full time working hours are a minimum of 35 hours per week, normal working hours are 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday although we pride ourselves on having a flexible approach to our working practices and service delivery and are happy to discuss flexible working options, including part time, with suitable candidates.

Working Well is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health, learning disabilities, neurodiversity, and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are recruiting a full-time Employment Support Worker for our supported employment team in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. This is a permanent role. The post holder will carry a caseload of clients who may have one or more support needs including:

The focus of the role is to support clients to achieve their employment goals, engaging with employers and training providers to secure vocational outcomes in line with client preferences.

This varied and dynamic role will lead on the set up, coordination and provision of excellent person-centred care and support to service users, enabling them to live independently in their home and be supported in all aspects of day-to-day living. As Project Manager, you will oversee the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and a range of activities and support to meet individual needs. You will also contribute to the development of the team and be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of support workers.

The ideal candidate will have experience of leading and coaching a team supporting people with learning disabilities or another vulnerable client group. Experience of supporting people with high and complex support needs would be an advantage. Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, SE16.  Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects.

T&T has grown substantially over the last 5 years, and we are in an exciting time for the charity. We are reviewing our long-term aims and changing local needs to ensure  programme delivery continues our extensive track record of positive outcomes. We also need to review our current contracted provision and best practices in the charity’s business and operations.

This area covers prisons HMP Winchester, HMP Bullingdon, HMP Grendon, HMP Springhill, HMP Aylesbury, HMP Huntercombe, HMP Woodhill, HMP Isle of Wight and HMP Gurnsey. We are seeking proactive, committed, and enthusiastic applicants to join our team and help us continue our journey.

Working closely with people in prison, prison managers, Shannon Trust staff and volunteers you will ensure development of our criminal programmes maximising literacy and numeracy learning opportunities for people across a number of prisons and contracts in your area. 

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings, managing teams and contract performance, underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. This is a home-based role which requires regular weekly travel across the South Central area to prisons and meetings (anticipated number of travel days are 2 days per week).

• You’ll manage the delivery of our Independent Living Skills programmes across our sites, looking to ensure they are delivered to the highest standard

• You will line manage the Independent Living Skills Tutors and ensure they have adequate resources to deliver sessions
