Salary range: £25,630 - £30,490 (depending on experience) + 8% shift allowance per annum
35 hours per week covering a range of shifts (between 7am and 10pm for Monday to Friday, and 8am to 4pm for Saturday and Sunday).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Arrest Referral Worker in our CARS team, which has had, and continues to receive national recognition.

Cranstoun are proud to work with the West Midlands Police Crime and Commissioner to deliver the Cranstoun Arrest Referral Service within the custody suites of West Midlands Police, and West Midlands Courts, offering drug and alcohol using offenders the opportunity to break the cycle of substance related crime.

You will work between police custody and criminal courts. You will assess, advise and refer offenders, providing them the opportunity to access treatment to address their substance use. Working with courts, you will promote the use of Community Sentence Treatment Requirements (Drug Rehabilitations Requirements and Alcohol Treatment Requirements) amongst all court professionals and the judiciary, contributing to Pre Sentence Reports and advocate for our service users.

You will be responsible for delivering all elements of substance use work including assertive engagement, harm reduction support (including naloxone provision), as well as other associated duties. You need to have an understanding of the issues faced by people who use drugs and alcohol, and who commit crime, and be dedicated to delivering a service that supports these individuals to make positive changes to their behaviour, health and well-being.

All roles within this service are subject to enhanced DBS checks and West Midlands Police vetting.

Responsibilities

• As a key member of the team, contribute to achieving Cyfannol Women’s Aid’s vision, mission and ambition.
• To demonstrate and positively promote the organisation’s values, culture, and qualities
• Collaborate with the support services coordinator and the refuge team to plan and deliver high quality, specialised, trauma informed, person-led support services.
• Line management of refuge team members (Support Worker, Support Work Assistants, Out Of Hours and Relief Workers) in line with policy in an inclusive, engaging and empowering way. (including supporting recruitment, completing induction, supervision, training and development) supporting and coaching.
• Case hold, providing direct support to adults and children staying in Blaenau Gwent Refuge Services.
• Oversee all rotas for refuge staff and on-call for Blaenau Gwent and make sure the refuges are adequately staffed at all times.
• Work collaboratively with the support services coordinator to ensure refuge referral paths are easily accessible are clear and concise, and to continue to promote a whole team approach.
• Support women and children to have a voice and provide feedback within the organisation and the sector, including surveys, listening sessions, and external opportunities
• Oversee operational Health & Safety requirements within refuge services and to oversee housekeeping, maximise refuge occupancy.
• Key collaborator, supporting the team members to keep accurate and timely records in all aspects of the service.
• Monitor personal charges and petty cash liaising with the Finance Department, Support Services Coordinator and Service Manager.
• Lead regular House Meetings and refuge Team meetings and to participate in Blaenau Gwent full team meetings
• Support the coordinator in compiling reports for Welsh Women’s Aid (WWA) Statistics and other relevant reports for projects and services
• Assist with the attendance of core group and other similar meetings, ensuring completion of all tasks allocated to Cyfannol Women’s Aid (CWA) where coordinator is unable to.
• Support the refuge team to appropriately signpost and refer women and children to the services they wish to engage with for example social services, the police, parenting, health, legal, DWP, housing, homelessness, recreational, educational, and cultural services and also CWA’s other internal services.
• Being responsive to requests from other members of the organisation for quantitative and qualitative data, including for example, the creation of case studies.

About This Job

The Cadet Centre for Adventurous Training (CCAT) has two main delivery centres, Capel Curig Training Camp in North Wales which includes the Headquarters, and Halton Training Camp near Lancaster. It delivers an annual programme of Mountaineering, Paddlesport, Mountain Biking, Caving and Snowsport National Governing Body (NGB) accredited pathways leading to coach, instructor and leader qualifications for Army Cadets aged 15 plus and their adult volunteers.

CCAT also delivers a broad range of national Army Cadet overseas expeditions and a programme of concentrations from their partner centres in Scotland, southern England and Bavaria.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the CCAT team. We are looking for a self-motivated enthusiastic and experienced Support Officer to work with our Centre Manager at Halton.

You will support the Centre Manager ensuring that all of the administrative and logistical requirements are in place to enable safe, effective and enjoyable Adventurous Training courses and expeditions in accordance with current legislation, Army Cadet policies and NGB guidelines.

You may also be required on occasion to support AT concentrations delivered from our partner sites throughout the UK and assist with the delivery of a programme of national overseas expeditions.

This is a rewarding and flexible role. The position is a permanent full-time post (40 hours per week). The successful applicant will be required to travel occasionally. The starting annual salary for this post is £28,808.00.

The Counter-Trafficking Department operates within HBF’s vibrant, multi-disciplinary team. The Counter-Trafficking Programme is designed to assist and safeguard HBF’s clients, with the primary purpose of preventing re-trafficking/re-exploitation and further forms of crime and harm through expert assessments, support and coordination and joint working with external agencies. The role of the Coordinator is to ensure that clients who are victims of trafficking have detailed counter-trafficking assessments, regular follow-up (as per their individual needs and risks) and appropriate safeguarding. The coordinator will provide and assist with evidential documentation as needed and make sure that clients are accompanied and/or sufficiently supported throughout the course of immigration, NRM, asylum and/or criminal justice procedures until they obtain official recognition and protection from the UK authorities and all other relevant professionals and bodies.

The Charity

The Youth Adventure Trust is a youth development charity working with vulnerable young people aged 11 to 16 years old from Somerset, Wiltshire and Swindon. Our outdoor activity based YAT Adventure Programme enables young people to challenge themselves, experience success, learn to go beyond their own expectations and grow in confidence. Through a series of residential camps and day activities they are able to build resilience, self esteem and develop social and life skills. The YAT Resilience Programme works to the same outcomes through a year long programme of monthly activities, home-based challenges and reflective practice. Our Mentoring Programme works with those young people in need of some additional individualised support at the end of our other programmes. The Trust’s Bursary Programme is open to all those young people who have completed an initial programme, in order to assist their next steps into further activities. Our aim is to make a lasting improvement to the lives of vulnerable young people. All our services are provided completely free of charge to the young people who are nominated by schools and other youth organisations to take part. 

The Role

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and motivated Programme Manager to support, deliver and manage our outdoor based development programmes.

Responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the key point of contact to organise, deliver and oversee the programme to a group of young people, including managing and supporting residential adventure camps and activity days throughout the year.

• Recruiting young people to the programme, working in collaboration with our referral partners including schools and other organisations, ensuring all involved have an excellent understanding, relationship and experience with the Youth Adventure Trust.

• Working in partnership with the young people’s families to promote full attendance, effective participation and ensure they have all the information they require. 

• Carrying out direct work with young people to help support their needs and fulfil the Youth Adventure Trust’s aims.

• Providing ongoing feedback to young people, parents, carers and schools.

• Supporting the effective monitoring of the programme and measurement of young people’s developmental outcomes.

• Working with the Mentoring Managers to select and support young people moving on to the Mentoring Programme, and promote take up of the Bursary Programme. 

• Ensuring the highest standards of support, safety and safeguarding across the programme and all aspects of the Youth Adventure Trust’s work.

• Taking the lead with day-to-day administration and management of the programme. This will include maintaining a database, producing written communications and reports, information leaflets, website updates, budget monitoring, booking and negotiating with providers, and an array of detailed record keeping.

• Contributing to organisational planning and development, including supporting the development of further opportunities for young people. 

• Supporting the fundraising team through providing feedback, reports or event support.

You will also;

• Be involved in sector networking and awareness raising on behalf of the Trust.

• Act as an ambassador for the Youth Adventure Trust at all times.

The post is subject to a six months’ probationary period.

The Candidate

To be up to the challenge you’ll need an excellent understanding and a proven track record of relevant experience working with vulnerable and challenging young people. You’ll need demonstrable skills at building effective relationships with young people, parents/carers and professional organisations. You’ll need strong influencing and motivational skills; the capacity to get the best out of people and confidently deal with issues and challenges. You’ll be an excellent communicator, planner and problem solver, a strong team player and an exemplary role model. 

We need someone with:- 

• Commitment to safeguarding and dedication to promoting the welfare of young people.

• Relevant experience of managing young people, preferably in a residential environment as well as outside of this.

• Experience in working in partnership with other professional organisations and parents/carers.

• Strong leadership and team skills to motivate, support and work alongside a team of volunteers, activity instructors and logistics staff. 

• Self-motivation with the ability to work on their own initiative to plan and manage their workload.

• Strong IT skills including experience of MS Office, web based platforms and databases.

• Excellent administrative skills and a methodical and thorough approach.

• The ability to perform well and problem solve in high-stress and changing situations. Ability to be flexible and dynamic in approach.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A positive attitude, high energy and enthusiasm for the work of the Youth Adventure Trust; an understanding of the positive impact outdoor adventure can have on vulnerable young people, and a desire to help inspire young lives.

In addition:-

• The ability to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends as required is essential - the role includes attending several residential camps over the year, and some weekend days working on activities. If you are looking for a predictable 9-5 work environment, this won’t be the right fit.

As a Debt Advisor (Omni-Channel: Telephone & Video), your primary role will be to provide over-indebted clients with tailored debt advice through various channels, including telephone, WhatsApp, and our network of video advice kiosks located in prisons, hospitals, job centres, town halls, and other community settings. You will help clients start their debt advice journey efficiently, ensuring they receive accurate and effective support.

Strategic direction and governance

The Team

The Role
