We’re looking for a Policy Officer who will make a difference to health and social care policy for people with arthritis.  

Within the Chief Executive’s Office, the UK Advocacy and Health Intelligence Department are focused on creating lasting change. We identify creative policy solutions in response to the challenges people with arthritis face. We influence decision-makers through stakeholder engagement, public affairs activity and by campaigning alongside people with arthritis. We have expertise across health and care services, public health, and employment policy. We also work in collaboration to influence medical research and data policy and play an active role in several cross-sector groups.  

About the role
The purpose of this role is to drive policy development across our policy priority areas. The Policy Officer will lead on specific policy projects, commissioning research, developing policy positions, and producing reports and consultation responses.  

This role will cover a broad range of issues across one of our strategic goals – prevention and diagnosis; access to treatment; and living well with arthritis. Our approach considers the needs of people of all ages who have arthritis.               

The Policy Officer will also contribute to the wider work of the team, working closely with colleagues in the Nations Teams, the Research Directorate and the wider charity, including by representing us on cross-sector policy groups, drafting briefings, and participating in events and conferences.  

We’ll give you autonomy, variety and challenge with opportunities to work with inspirational campaigners, attend events in Parliament and meet senior stakeholders in Government. We’re a supportive team who will value your well-being and professional development.

This is one of the most important roles within Shine Cancer Support. You’ll be overseeing and supporting Shine’s volunteers around the country, ensuring that they have what they need to reach as many young adults with cancer as possible. You’ll also work closely with Shine’s Programme Delivery Manager to deliver training and support programmes directly to young adults with cancer and healthcare professionals.

Location:  Hybrid, with two days per week at Shine’s offices in Blackheath, South East London or in Poole, Dorset.

Hours & salary:  Full time (35 hours per week). Salary range is £33,000 - £35,000 pro rata, depending on experience.

This is a one year contract to cover maternity leave starting mid/late January 2026.

Key responsibilities

Volunteer Support

• Support Shine’s volunteer Network Leaders across England, Scotland and Wales to develop their Shine Networks, ensuring that they provide the best possible support to young adults with cancer. This will include an annual support plan, developing and testing new ways of expanding Shine’s reach, and regular catch-up calls. 

• Work with Shine staff and facilitators to recruit, train and support new volunteers from across the UK.

• Deliver an annual plan for training and support, touching on issues such as outreach and fundraising.

• Maintain and develop Shine’s online information pages for Shine volunteers.

• Organise and facilitate online meet-ups for Shine beneficiaries.

Programme Delivery

• Assist the Programme Delivery Manager and facilitators to deliver Shine’s core programmes (Break Out programme, Shine Circles) to Shine beneficiaries, as well as training to healthcare professionals.

• Create new connections with healthcare professionals across the UK. This will include linking to relevant Cancer Alliances and Integrated Care Boards.

• Oversee the administration and management of relevant monitoring and evaluation processes.

The GoF programme will offer a new additional person-centred companionship service where volunteers and older people are matched to reduce loneliness and isolation together.  The service is person centred and dependent on the goals of the individual which could include, going for a walk, going shopping, attending activities or helping an older person to build or regain confidence in going out and about and developing more social connections.

Within the London Borough of Islington we run a comprehensive range of community based provision for survivors of all genders. At the core is our Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) service which support those at the highest risk of harm.  We have a number of specialist roles and pan-borough project, which provide targeted support to providers and work closely in conjunction with partner services and work with over 500 survivors each year.

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional leader to lead on delivery of our community based support within the London Borough of Islington. These services include core IDVA teams and additional specialist roles, often supporting survivors at the point of crisis and highest risk. You will take a lead role in ensuring the high standards we set are achieved and identifying where and how we can make improvements. You will lead on development and maintenance of effective commissioning relationships and be able to identify and develop opportunities for service enhancement and growth. This role requires in person working, mostly at our Head office in Camden, which may vary or change depending on service demands.

About You

You will have leadership experience in a VAWG or other service delivery organisation which includes management of different service elements. You will be comfortable with managing risk and a calm, reflective operational leader able to support staff who are often working in crisis response mode.  You will have used your experience of working in a service delivery environment to identify and implement service improvements. You will have good data literacy and eye for detail, particularly around service utilisation and reporting.

Communications and Marketing Coordinator

We are seeking a creative and proactive Communications and Marketing Coordinator to play a pivotal role in telling Theatres Trust’s story, and the stories of the theatres we support, to a wider audience.

Working with the Head of Communications and Marketing, you will support the development and delivery of Theatres Trust’s communications strategy and contribute to embedding our brand and tone of voice across all our communications. A central part of the role will be working with our sector specialists to turn complex, detailed and technical information into compelling case studies to promote our services and highlight our impact to key stakeholders across the theatre sector and beyond.

You will be responsible for producing two of Theatres Trust’s key communications products: Theatres Magazine, our digital publication for supporters, and NewsDigest, our monthly e-newsletter, as well as helping to develop our social and digital channels. There will also be the opportunity for you to take the lead on the full communications lifecycle of specific projects such as grant programmes and events.

For someone with a passion for the power of words and a strong eye for design, this is an interesting and varied role, offering the scope to develop and enhance your skills across the full range of communications and marketing disciplines. You may have worked in a communications or marketing position already, or you may have transferrable skills from another role, studies or voluntary experience. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering Lift Schools’ commercial enterprise strategy. About the role

As Head of Commercial Ventures, you will:

• Develop and deliver Lift’s first commercial enterprise strategy, aligned to our educational mission
• Grow and optimise existing ventures such as estate lettings and apprenticeship provision
• Identify and build new market opportunities — products, services and partnerships across the education and wider sector
• Lead development of business models, pricing strategies, go-to-market plans and commercial governance frameworks
• Establish systems, processes and performance metrics to ensure all commercial ventures are sustainable, ethical, and aligned with our educational purpose

You’ll work closely with senior leaders, schools and operational teams to turn ideas into scalable revenue streams, balancing innovation with integrity.

You’ll be someone who:

• Brings a strong track record in commercial business development, product design or venture growth
• Has taken a commercial idea from concept to delivery and scaled it successfully
• Combines strategic acumen with hands-on delivery and entrepreneurial drive

About Our Role

You will contribute to the strategic direction of F6IT ensuring we achieve our vision where disabled children and young people with their family and friends can together and inclusively, enjoy a rewarding life which is fun, beneficial and above all fulfilling. 

As the Operations Manager you will work with the CEO and Trustees to manage and oversee the operations and administration in line with the strategic direction of F6IT.  This will include a variety of different task and activities.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead day to day management of all F6IT activities. This includes the planning, delivery and evaluation of inclusive events, clubs and fitness activities
• Coordinate Coaches, Session Leads and Volunteers to ensure activities and session are well planned and staffed
• Work with the Social Media Lead to advertise and promote activities and events
• Develop and monitor kdy performance indicators (KPIs) and analyse data to identify trends and areas of improvements
• Work with CEO and Trustees to develop and plan new events, clubs and fitness activities
• Oversee bookings, payments and banking related to events and activities
• Track DBS checks, mandatory and additonal training for all Volunteers, Staff and Trustees
• Take responsibility for compliance with health and safety, safeguarding and risk management

Pathfinders Neuromuscular Alliance is a national, user-led charity run by and for people with muscle-weakening conditions. We empower adults with neuromuscular conditions to live fulfilling lives through peer support, information, advocacy, and co-produced research and campaigns. We are seeking a Research Officer to support a series of user-led research projects exploring:

You will work closely with the CEO, Research Manager, and members of our lived experience research advisory group. You’ll be involved in all aspects of the research cycle — from design to dissemination — and will ensure that our research is ethical, inclusive, and grounded in co-production principles.

Key Responsibilities

Research Design & Ethics

• Support the design of research studies in collaboration with the lived experience team and academic partners.

• Support the preparation of ethics applications, participant information sheets, and consent materials.

• Develop interview schedules, focus group guides, and surveys.

Participant Engagement

• Recruit participants through Pathfinders’ network, social media, and partner organisations.

• Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in participant communication and data collection.

Person Specification

Essential

• Experience managing or delivering a research project from start to finish (e.g., Master’s dissertation, PhD, or equivalent applied research).

• Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.

• Commitment to co-production, lived experience leadership, and inclusive research practices.

• Awareness of issues affecting disabled people and/or people with long-term conditions.

Desirable

Young Carers Support Coordinator (Families Lead)

Winchester, Hampshire (Hybrid)

£26,390 per annum (FTE / Actual Salary: £15,780)

Part-time (22.5 hours per week to include a Wednesday and Thursday)

Our client is a small independent charity who supports young people who take on caring responsibilities for an unwell or disabled family member between the ages of 8 - 25. They provide programmes of support to empower Young Carers to look after their physical and emotional wellbeing and have experiences they would otherwise miss out on.

They believe that Young Carers are children first, and should be free to develop emotionally, and take full advantages of opportunities for educational achievement and life success.

As a Young Carers Support Coordinator (Families Lead), you will work as part of a small dynamic team to deliver their support programmes for Young Carers. This will include supporting their exploration programme and activities programme and young adult carers programme.

You will also coordinate the organisations referral and assessment process form start to finish. This will include database entry, contacting referrers, allocating cases and booking and carrying out assessments. You will also provide on-going support to families via phone, referrals, signposting and attending relevant multi-agency meetings.

They run an Exploration Programme which focuses on wellbeing – this currently runs on Wednesday afternoon/evenings during term time.

They run an Activities Programme which focuses on new experiences and respite – these are daytimes during school holidays. Usually, two or three per school holiday week.

One25 is a Bristol charity for women moving from crisis and trauma towards independence in the community. It is a highly respected charity working with some of the most marginalised women in Bristol.

One25 services have been developed to meet women at their point of need, with love and practical support. We do this through our night and early morning outreach service which is a lifeline for nearly 200 women on Bristol’s streets. Our Health Hub provides support for women to access health services and healthcare professionals. Our caseworkers offer intensive one-to-one care in any area of need: from support in court to finding somewhere safe to live.

We are recruiting a Van Outreach Worker to lead One25’s van outreach shifts on alternate weekends. The role provides support and sign-posting to women who are street-sex working, leads and supports a small team of volunteers on each shift, provides briefings and debriefs before and after shifts, and makes decisions relating to safeguarding and safety on the van. On alternate weekends, the Weekend Van Outreach Worker provides on-call support to those on shift. There is also one weekly daytime shift in the office to connect with the wider team.

We are looking for someone who is able to bring compassion and a non-judgemental approach to their engagement with the women. You should have great interpersonal skills which help you to support the volunteers who keep One25’s services running. You should be able to think on your feet and, when necessary, be decisive. This is a unique role and every night can be different.
