Our Cattery Team Leaders provides front line leadership and management to a team of staff and volunteers, ensuring first class service delivery in relation to animal welfare.
This opportunity is focused on leading the cattery team in delivering the highest standards of feline welfare, care, and enrichment. You will ensure that all cats receive compassionate, individualised care and that the team operates efficiently, safely, and in line with welfare best practices.
Overall objectives:
- To lead the Cattery team, managing, motivating, and developing staff to achieve their full potential.
- To maintain exceptional standards in husbandry and welfare.
- To effectively manage our population of cats enabling us to help as many cats as possible within our limited capacity.
- To oversee daily care routines including feeding, cleaning, and health monitoring and ensure all cats are provided with appropriate enrichment and socialisation.

About the role
This is a new fundraising opportunity to help provide support for serving personnel, veterans and their families ensuring that no-one battles alone.
Supported by the Statutory Grants Manager, this role is fundamental in developing, advancing and championing both new and existing income from local authorities, health providers, and other local commissioning bodies and grant funders. The aim of this role is to increase income generation in this area whilst enhancing SSAFA’s visibility and profile within these organisations on a local level. Achieving this will require the development of strong, strategic relationships, underpinned by excellent bid writing skills to produce effective proposals for support.
SSAFA is entering into an exciting period of strategic development with this income stream and if successful, you will be part of a small team with the potential for career development.
Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the South East or South West of England as the role will focus on these regions and will require regular travel within them. There will also be an occasional need to travel across the UK and to work evenings and weekends at key events.

With regular team meetings and a variety of communication mediums you will be given ongoing support, training and mentoring throughout. We are a remote team and well connected to all colleagues. About you
We are seeking an exceptional candidate who thrives on challenge and brings a strong understanding of the statutory funding landscape. You will be a determined, highly motivated individual, with a proven track record of securing significant funds from statutory organisations. You will be a natural communicator with proven success with bid writing and presentation skills. You will be a confident networker, able to represent the charity to external stakeholders and will excel at developing strong relationships with statutory organisations, both in person and remotely whilst working from home. An ability to self-motivate with a can-do attitude is a must.

As the Operations Service Manager, your primary responsibility will be to provide effective leadership and management to the Treatment Centre Operations team. Interagency work
· Work to embed the Case Manager role into multi-agency responses to domestic abuse in the area.
· Effective understanding and implementation of institutional advocacy by pro- socially challenging partner agencies, acknowledging best practice and striving for change to benefit the individual, the service and the sector.
· Support other professionals in responding to service users in a way that is coterminous with the aims and ethos of the Drive Project.
· Working closing with other professionals to ensure that risk management and safeguarding duties are effectively met.
· Develop and maintain effective partnership working with statutory, private and voluntary agencies to address the issue of domestic abuse.
· Represent the service at operational multi-agency meetings, feeding back initiatives and outcomes to the team and contribute to the evaluation of the quality of activities these services offer.
· Provide a single point of proactive and regular contact for a range of professionals involved in the case of the service user.
· Be flexible and willing to work in all types of environments.
Case management
· Comply with child protection and information sharing policies, ensuring that service users and colleagues understand and comply with the service’s safeguarding framework.
· Manage a case load focusing on high risk perpetrators of domestic abuse to provide an assertive, medium to long term service, based on thorough assessment and individual support planning that adopts the principles of both ‘Support (change) or/and Disrupt (continued offending) concept.
· Contribute to regular service reviews which include monitoring data, evaluations, intake and output policy, and practice and work load reviews for the whole service.
· Attend monthly case management meeting with the Service Manager .
· Attend clinical supervision.
· Take appropriate steps to protect where there is an imminent risk to another person.
Recording and administration
· Ensure that case files and records are accurate and complete, and are kept and in compliance with Data Protection Act requirements.
· To enter all the required information into the Drive project electronic case management system to enable tracking of service user change, multi-agency working and risk management.
· Weekly maintenance and accurate and secure audit trail of all relevant communication.
· Comply with the data protection and information sharing protocols that Drive has agreed to.
Direct work with service users
· Maintain a proactive response to service users, continuously providing positive options for behaviour change throughout the service users time in the Drive project
· Use combination of motivational work, relationship building and a broad range of therapeutic skills to engage service users to addressing their abusive behaviour
· Motivate and support service users to address the broad range of needs that may contribute to the risk that they pose to others or act as barrier for them in addressing that risk. e.g. housing, substance use etc.
· To ensure that service users understand that the community and Drive project will ensure that they are accountable for continued use of abuse and abusive behaviour towards others
· Ensure that there is a consistent delivery of services to the identified perpetrators of domestic abuse, including comprehensive risk assessment, support planning, referrals to other agencies and MARACs.
· Develop strategies that will disrupt the continued risk posed by service users
· Undertake assessment of risk, needs and attitudes to inform the individual
service user’s intervention plan
· Ensure that risk assessment and risk management procedures are followed at all times.
· Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the service works in, providing a service that recognises the diverse needs of service users and their families.
· Work closely with the IDVAs’ supporting the partners, ex-partners and new partners, and family members of service users in management risk and developing intervention plans, as set out in the Drive Manual.
· The welfare and safety of children and young people is paramount, considered in every aspect of your work, address parenting needs where appropriate and taking action to safeguard children.
General
· Remain up-to-date and compliant with all relevant legislation connected to your work, including organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct and practice guidance, in order to uphold standards of best practice.
· Represent the service at local events; deliver training and presentations as required.
· Feed into the learning process via the Service to improve services to perpetrators of domestic abuse ensuring that the experiences of service users and other agencies inform this process.
· Be confident to evidence reflective practice in all aspects of work, sharing learning and

In this integral role, you’ll be working with your team to maintain an accurate, consistent and reliable dataset covering all areas of fundraising and engagement on our CRM – Raiser’s Edge. You’ll be responsible for making sure data is stored safely and compliantly, and that good data hygiene rules are in place. You’ll also be supporting and upskilling the Fundraising and Communications department to use the database properly, empowering them to get the information they need.

We are seeking a Project Coordinator (Prevention and Intervention) to work alongside the wider Advice & Wellbeing team, and be responsible for engaging inactive students in the Active Bystander programme; helping us to achieve our goal of supporting and developing a vibrant and inclusive community of students. This role forms a key part of our Advice & Wellbeing team. The team aims to promote the interests and welfare of students at UCL during their studies, and through our sector-leading Active Bystander Programme we deliver an outstanding proactive intervention initiative that is peer-led and student driven, and promotes a vibrant and inclusive student community.
The role is a full time and permanent contract. This role is also a hybrid working role, where 40% of the role will be on campus based.

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the programme, as well as inducting and training our student workshop leaders. The right candidate will conduct regular stakeholder engagement exercises to garner feedback, ensure quality of training and inform the future development of the programme. The successful role holder will also work effectively with Union, UCL and external teams, including departmental and faculty staff, Student Support and Wellbeing, Accommodation, Casework & Regulations Team, Crime Prevention & Personal Safety Team, to promote the programme, seek information/assistance, and make appropriate referrals and signposting where necessary.
