The Ancient Tree Forum (ATF) is seeking a motivated and organised Technical and Engagement Officer to join our small, friendly and flexible team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a charity dedicated to safeguarding the UK’s ancient and veteran trees, along with their wildlife, heritage and cultural values. 

This role is vital to achieving our strategic outcomes by providing expert technical advice, supporting and collaborating with the Technical Advisory Panel to develop authoritative guidance and publications. You will act as a key contact for public and stakeholder enquiries and contribute technical expertise to ATF’s communications across our website, newsletter, social media and press activity. 

You will engage with sector networks, collaborate with partners and support strategic messaging. This role will help strengthen the charity’s visibility and impact in ancient and veteran tree conservation and protection. 

Based in our Philanthropy Team in Fundraising, the postholder works with our clinical, estates and governance teams creating compelling proposals to secure mostly restricted income. If you have great digital competence, including the use of AI to summarise information, are an excellent storymaker able to understand an audience, quickly synthesize information and pitch in writing for success, or an early-career fundraiser ready to develop, in this role you will make a difference and work as part of a creative successful team. Understanding how to keep our ask fresh and steward these relationships is key.  You will inherit a portfolio of trust and grant funders who have committed support over the long term and a portfolio that delivers at least £180k in income each year. You will work with colleagues on well-established campaigns like The Big Give and support experienced volunteers who handle small grants. This role has space for innovation to secure new funders and uplift existing contributions.

Rasing Funds:

· Ensure an inclusive, engaging and best-in-class experience for Trusts and grant makers

· Manage an annual rolling programme of applications and multi-year funding reporting requirements. 

· Deliver medium, large and complex bids for unrestricted and restricted income to ensure success to an income level of at least £150k to fund initiatives including for example: direct delivery of care, volunteering initiatives, new routes into work for protected groups, equipment and capital projects.

· Robust and regular research of funding opportunities, new trusts, and wider horizon scanning to identify a broad base of opportunity to refresh and renew the pipeline of prospective funders

· Steward existing trust donors, finding opportunities to cultivate and grow the relationship.

· Be a visible accessible presence across the hospice, encouraging colleagues to share and develop their own ideas to raise funds that you and/or trust and grant volunteers can take forward and or support the team generating the ideas to do so.

· Attend our Clinical Assets Meetings and restricted funding meetings

· Generate social media posts consistent with Hospice content standards and GDPR and hard and soft copy information to inform and promote the impact of supporters, this includes video/reel thankyou messages.

Communication

· Prepare and submit high-quality, tailored grant applications to secure funding for specific projects and core activities

· Maintain and develop relationships with existing trust and foundation donors

· Be the first point of contact for trust and grant funders and supporters and, for colleagues internally who have questions/queries or have an interest in this area of funding

· Manage a pipeline of prospective funders, ensuring timely follow-up and tracking of application statuses

· Help to create and deliver moments of stewardship that are personal to each funder, show the impact of their support and inspire them when they can, to have an on-going relationship with the charity.

· Be volunteer team leader recruiting volunteers to support your role, ensuing they are inducted and supported. As the wider team help ensure all volunteers feel supported when their respective team leader is away.

· Identify opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the Hospice to maximum benefit for the charity.

· Be an outstanding advocate for the Charity and represent the Charity at functions and events, in line with the values of the organisation, to promote the objectives of the Charity

Digital/Business Administration

· Provide routine and regular reporting on progress, advising on risk/mitigation to ensure the annual target is met

· Enter and update donor information on the CRM ensuring compliance with the GDPR and Data Protection Act.

· Ensure CRM (Donify) records and preference information is up to date and accurate at all times, including recording interactions with supporters

This is an exciting senior policy role in our committed policy team leading the fight to end child poverty in the UK. The Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA) is the national charity for people affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom. 

We are looking for a Digital Communications Coordinator to cover maternity leave and to support our busy Communications team.

The Digital Communications Coordinator is a key role within CLAPA, responsible for implementing our digital communications strategy to engage and inspire the UK cleft community. This role moves beyond content creation to take ownership of CLAPA’s digital communications across social and email platforms, ensuring online communications are strategic and data-driven. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, this role supports the planning, delivery, and monitoring of campaigns that inform, support, and connect the cleft community in the UK. 

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a good understanding of digital communications and a passion for community engagement. Main Purpose of the Role:

To manage, lead and support the Fundraising and Communications Team to retain donors, increase income and provide clear direction for our communications. Senior Communications Officer

We are looking for a creative and strategic communicator to shape the voice of the UK’s National Trails.

Position: Senior Communications Officer
Salary: £32,000 FTE (4 days/week)
Location: Remote, with occasional UK travel
Contract: Part-time (4 days/week), 1-year fixed term

About the Role

As Senior Communications Officer, you will lead on delivering a bold, inclusive communications strategy, raising the profile of the UK’s National Trails and building awareness of their value for people, places and nature.

You’ll create and manage inspiring, accessible campaigns across digital, social and press channels; support National Trail teams across the UK with comms advice; and help shape public and stakeholder engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to be the voice of a small, national organisation making a big impact.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Deliver creative, multi-channel communications
• Manage digital channels including the website, LinkedIn and Instagram
• Write and distribute newsletters and member communications
• Develop press relationships, draft media content and secure coverage
• Lead a Communications Special Interest Group across National Trail teams
• Provide accessible comms advice to member organisations
• Support campaigns and events that influence public policy and stakeholder awareness
• Promote representation and inclusion across all content

About You

You’ll be a passionate storyteller with a flair for strategic communications and a commitment to inclusion and representation. Comfortable juggling day-to-day delivery with long-term planning, you’ll be just as happy drafting a press release as coordinating a campaign or advising trail partners.

You will bring:

• Experience of communications delivery across social and press
• Excellent writing, editing and content creation skills
• Knowledge of inclusive and accessible communication practices
• Strong media relations and public engagement experience
• Confidence working independently and with multiple stakeholders
• A passion for the outdoors and increasing access for all

Desirable:

• Experience with membership organisations
• Knowledge of outdoor recreation, heritage or protected landscapes
