Children Not Numbers are seeking a volunteer Content Creator (Graphic & Video), working remotely, to start ASAP. 

Children Not Numbers (CNN) is a UK-based medico-legal NGO whose mission is to provide immediate support and long-term rehabilitation for children in Gaza - ensuring access to the medical care, education, and advocacy they deserve. From facilitating urgent short-term medical evacuations to providing necessary medical aid and long-term rehabilitation services, our team are dedicated to the wellbeing and empowerment of affected children. Through advocacy and education, the we strive to mobilise resources and drive policy changes for the betterment of children’s lives.

We are looking for a creative, experienced and passionate volunteer Content Creator to help bring our mission to life through impactful visual storytelling. You will work closely with CNN's Communications Manager and other members of the team. This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills in design and multimedia to make a real difference – supporting awareness campaigns, advocacy efforts, educational outreach and fundraising initiatives.

As volunteer Content Creator, your work might include:

• Creating compelling graphics, videos, reels and multimedia content that tell powerful stories and inspire action

• Collaborating with the team to support advocacy, awareness and fundraising campaigns through visual content

• Designing educational materials that communicate complex issues in accessible and empathetic ways

• Developing creative content for social media, newsletters and digital platforms

We are looking for someone who is passionate about social justice, human rights and making real-world impact. The role would suit someone with:

• Employed or other substantial experience as a content creator (graphic design, video editing or both) 

• Visual storytelling skills, includng using creative formats to evoke empathy and drive engagement

• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, flexible, remote environment

• Familiarity with creation tools, such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Premiere or similar software

Bonus if you have:

• Experience with cause-based campaigns or advocacy work

• Knowledge of issues relating to refugees, children’s rights or humanitarian storytelling

• Social media content strategy skills

About the Project – “Solta o Jogo”
“Solta o Jogo” is a vibrant cultural competition and festival celebrating Brazilian heritage through Capoeira, music, dance, acrobatics, and a Brazilian arts & crafts fair. Hosted at Kingston University Townhouse, the event invites the community to participate in free performances, workshops, and exhibitions promoting cross-cultural understanding.

As part of this initiative, we are seeking a Public Relations (PR) Assistant to support the communications and public engagement strategy for the festival and wider organisational goals. This role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, community outreach, and brand visibility, while gaining hands-on experience in a meaningful cultural project. 

Position Overview:
The PR Assistant will support the PR Department in developing and executing external communications, engaging with local communities, coordinating media opportunities, and planning promotional campaigns. ROLE DESCRIPTION

The PR is responsible for the preparation of a press kit and outreach communications to send to journalist and media companies to publish our news on their blogs, sites, socials etc.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will create a pool of contacts on excel spreadsheet to use for press releases and media outreach on behalf of the organisation

Creating stories for several projects that are of clear benefit to the organisation including our films, music productions, acting for film workshops, artist development workshops for young people from different boroughs in West London. This role will work closely with project stakeholders, including young people organisations, funders and partners, probation officers, as well as collaborate with our Research and Performance and Collective Action departments to learn from our work and embed best practice.

This role will work closely with the Managing Director and project manager colleagues to lead our delivery portfolio through your story creations.

You will also promote our projects, recruit volunteers to support our promos and promote our programmes through the online platform such as YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

The PRO  will be responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating the success of online promotional programmes. They will work closely with a portfolio of partners to design meaningful online interventions for our beneficiaries, as well as leading on the recruitment of volunteers to promote programmes and the evaluation of programmes using the One Place vision of change.

Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is seeking to appoint 1 (one) individual to join our International General Assembly (IGA).

Following appointment to the IGA, independent members are eligible for nomination to the BoT after 1 year as an IGA independent member.

Appointments on the BoT are for a 4-year term limit.

The IGA is the highest body of the new Islamic Relief Worldwide governance structure and consists mainly of representatives elected by Islamic Relief family members across five continents, creating a body that is truly globally representative.  It is from the IGA that IRW draws its trustees.

We would like to hear from exceptional applicants with considerable experience and specialist knowledge in a range of professional backgrounds: law, accountancy, audit, humanitarian programming, PR/communications, marketing or fundraising, IT, charity financial policy and strategy, shariah compliance. Those selected will play a vital role in IRW’s strategic work and in helping us respond to key challenges.

• Participate in the oversight of  the organisation in accordance with its statutory obligations, making sure that IRW satisfies its regulatory and legal requirements as a charity
• Act in a manner which supports the organisation in meeting aims and objectives as set out in IRW governing documents, and in ensuring IRW long-term security
• Focus on strategic planning and governance when setting IRW priorities and objectives
• Participate in the approval of annual plans, strategies and budgets

• Support the financial stability of the charity and contribute to its effective and efficient administration, reviewing and approving financial strategies and monitoring income and expenditure, to ensure the organisation is in good financial health
• Promote IRW’s vision, mission and values and demonstrate IRW’s values in all of the IGA’s work.

About You

We are seeking exceptional candidates with a breadth of leadership experience who can enhance the strategic development of IRW and have the following skills and qualities:

• A deep commitment and passion for IRW’s faith inspired values, vision and mission
• An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship  
• Considerable professional experience and specialist knowledge in one or more of the following – law, accountancy, audit, humanitarian programming, PR/communications, marketing or fundraising, IT, charity financial policy and strategy, shariah compliance

• Skills in problem solving and conflict resolution
• Legislative and operating framework for charities/voluntary and community sector organisations, especially an understanding of Charity Commission requirements

Endometriosis UK is the largest UK charity for those with endometriosis. Endometriosis UK works to:

• Provide support to those with endometriosis and their families and friends
• Provide clear, objective information about the condition and its treatments
• Raise awareness amongst health professionals and the general public about the condition
• Support research into endometriosis.

This is an unpaid role. Reasonable pre-agreed travel expenses will be paid.

Time commitment:

• five Trustee Board meetings a year, including preparation for meetings, reading papers etc; and attendance at an annual strategy day and AGM (held on the same days as Board meetings). Three meetings are held in person on London on a Saturday, with two meetings being virtual evening meetings.
• Trustees have the opportunity to take part in Board sub-groups and project groups to develop aspects of the organisations’ work. Current sub-groups include the Finance Committee and Diversity & Inclusion Sub-Group.

Trustees are also invited to attend Endometriosis UK events.

We are currently recruiting for ONE NEW TRUSTEE to join the board. We are particularly looking for significant experience of charity governance, management and best practice. Examples of how this might have been gained include having worked at a senior level in a charity, or previous trustee experience.

If you are keen to join the Endometriosis UK Board and don’t have this experience, there will be further opportunities over the next year as we will be recruiting for more trustees as Board members reach their maximum length of service. Keep an eye on our social media for more information.

Personal experience of living with, or having a close family member with, endometriosis, is vital on our Board. Whilst we look favourably on applications from those in the endometriosis community, we already have Trustees with first hand lived experience and new trustees do not need to have endometriosis.

About Student Action for Refugees

STAR (Student Action for Refugees) is the national network of students building a society where refugees and asylum seekers are welcomed and can thrive. 

Set up by students at Nottingham University in 1994, STAR is creating a more understanding, just and welcoming society by: 

• empowering young people to be changemakers; 
• providing practical support and connecting local communities through volunteering and student volunteer led community projects; 
• challenging the structural barriers that refugees and asylum seekers face when seeking protection and building new lives in the UK; 
• Sharing trusted information about asylum and the lived experience of refugees to combat misinformation, hostile narratives and instead spread compassion and humanisation 

We have a small staff team who train and support the network and lead on national campaign and advocacy work, with expertise in improving access to higher education for forced migrants.

Here are just some of our highlights from last year:

• 37  STAR university student society groups, across 28  towns and cities, run by 222 STAR student leaders. 
• 262 events were organised by STAR groups to educate, campaign, and fundraise for a more welcoming UK, from art exhibitions to cookery classes and film nights.
• 1,280 refugees and people seeking asylum were supported by 413 volunteers  through 28 community projects and 25 one off volunteering events. 
• 100s of students mobilised to support calls for better treatment of refugees in the UK including standing against detention, for a fairer plan for refugees and to lift the ban on work.
• 88 UK universities now offer sanctuary scholarships for refugee students. The STAR staff team was involved in the development of many of these new scholarships and the improvement of  existing scholarships. We also ran workshops for hundreds of  university staff. 
• 15 STAR groups campaigned for Equal Access at their institutions and 4 won!
• 65 aspiring refugee students were supported by our mentoring project and we provided signposting and advice about accessing HE to over 470 people.

Role Summary.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Email Marketing Officer to support the planning and delivery of email campaigns that engage and inspire our audience. You will be responsible for creating, scheduling, and optimising emails to strengthen communication with students, parents, and supporters. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the email marketing efforts of a growing international education platform.

Key tasks

• Design, build, and schedule email campaigns using email marketing tools.

• Manage audience segmentation and ensure email lists are accurate and up to date.

• Collaborate with copywriters and designers to deliver engaging, on-brand email content.

• Conduct A/B tests to improve open rates, click-through rates, and overall performance.

• Monitor and report on email campaign performance, suggesting improvements.

• Ensure all email content complies with data protection and GDPR guidelines.

What we’re looking for

• Some experience or training in email marketing platforms (such as Mailerlite or similar).
