• Individuals with 5k+ engaged followers (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube etc.)

• Passionate about social impact, homelessness, domestic violence support, or financial inclusion

• Want to use your voice to help real people — directly

• Help share our mission with your community

• Highlight stories of individuals we support (all fully anonymised and approved)

• Be part of a new model for giving — one that puts dignity and transparency first

Events Officer has the responisbility of organising (along with the help of a Trustee Events Manager) our magical visits to children/adults with LD, this could be at the hospital, social groups, refugee centres, libraries etc etc.

They will monitor the chapter email for submitted event booking forms (some of these will come from events organised by the Events Manager on Trustees). These will then be added to the calendar and advertised to volunteers. They will ensure each event organised has a handful of volunteers confirmed within a week of the event itself. They will then provide information and support to a Lead Volunteer to run the events. They will ensure that regular events are being attended by volunteers and that they have the costume and materials that are needed for these. They will follow up after events to ensure social media posts are made, hours are uploaded and that costumes are returned. They will ensure that all volunteers are attending events.

SAIL Derbyshire delivers a range of specialist support services for adult survivors of sexual abuse, incest, and sexual violence. Our trauma-informed approach is client-led, inclusive, and rooted in empathy.Our mission is to enable survivors of current and historical sexual abuse and incest to live safe lives in which they can recover and thrive. We believe in empowering individuals through empathetic, non-judgmental support tailored to their unique needs.

What will you be doing?

This is an exciting time to join the Trustee Board at SAIL. Our new Trustees will play a key role in enabling us to continue to innovate our work and support service improvement. The role will enable you to put your professional skills to great use as well as give you the opportunity to develop your insight and expertise in all that is involved in the governance of a growing charity.

The Board of Trustees is responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, its financial health, the probity of its activities, and developing the organisation’s aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines.

As a community engagement volunteer you and your fellow branch members will create a range of activities to help spread the word about SSAFA within your community. To ensure that that our Armed Forces community know that SSAFA are here to help and that we need the public’s support to continue offering our services.

· Identifying new fundraising and awareness opportunities

· Helping at events

· Delivering presentations to community groups, schools, etc through

· SSAFA’s speaker programme

· Event administration

· Social media marketing

This is an exciting opportunity to join a charity at the very start and to make a difference in shaping how we move forward.

Who are we looking for?

At present we are working towards being fully operational, over the next year Living Reasons will be looking to expand its reach and part of that journey is to work on various platforms in new and creative ways, one of which will be Substack.

If you enjoy writing blogs or newsletters, are able to tell stories in an engaging way, this is the role for you.

This would include writing a weekly “point of view” piece that focuses on an area that Living Reasons engages in, whether this is research data reporting, lived experience storytelling or news highlight pieces.

Additionally to writing posts, you may also want to work with the social media coordinator to create video posts or even look at creating a podcast for the charity, the options are limitless as at Living Reasons, we encourage the entire team to bring ideas to the table and empower you to run with them, with the support of the organisation.

What is the plan?

The person who is starting the charity up is autistic, has ADHD, CPTSD and also multiple physical conditions that effect daily life and is part of the LGBTQ+ community and has faced a lot of issues in life because of these things.

Living Reasons is being created to fix what we think is a challenging situation that is getting harder to achieve every week, month and year in the current economic, political, environmental and societal landscape. It is not easily defined but we hope the charity objects below will help put context to what we want to achieve, what we can say is that below are the issues we are trying to address, how we do this will change as quickly as society does, but the issues we want to tackle are these:

1) Outdated and damaging employment practices

2) Accessibility to services

3) Limited employment, training and education opportunities

4) Lack of support during times of crisis or need

5) Lack of equity and agency for many people in society

6) Institutional discrimination that is not challenged

7) Abuse of the legal system at all levels

CleanupUK is a small charity with big aspirations. We use the activity of litter-picking to support people living in disadvantaged areas to form litter-picking groups – not only to keep their neighbourhood clean but also to bring the community together.

Now in its 18th year, CleanupUK is embarking on a growth phase. As a result, we would like to attract people to CleanupUK’s board as trustees who have varied and diverse backgrounds and experience. You will likely feel passionate about the issue of litter and also about its impact on communities.

We are currently looking to recruit three new trustees who are prepared to devote their time and energy to helping CleanupUK grow into the next stage. The three skill sets we are looking for are :
