As we enter our seventh year as a charity and our work established within West Wales, we are now getting set to fulfil our mission that all children, wherever they reside in Wales, should be able to access the right support, at the right time.

Our new Foundations, grants and trusts officer will Work closely with the fundraising Officer and wider team and be able to guide and navigate their way through the various ways we need to engage with, apply to and subsequently report back to trusts and foundations; large and small.

The role is offered full or part-time and with the flexibility of office based in Pembrokeshire or working remotely from anywhere within Wales. The role will support our work across Wales and will have regular travel around the country and to meetings in our Pembrokeshire Centre.

Digital Marketing Manager

Working with the Head of Brand and Marketing the successful candidate for this role will work to implement a new digital acquisition and engagement strategy for the charity’s work and collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and maximise digital marketing opportunities to meet the charity’s objectives.

Reporting to the Head of Brand & Marketing, you will be responsible for development and delivery of the organisational digital marketing strategy and plans including leading on all digital aspects of Butterfly Conservation marketing campaigns including its hero campaign Wild Spaces and Big Butterfly Count. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day digital marketing channels including social media, email marketing, websites, SEO, PPC, championing a digital first approach making evidence led decisions to ensure Butterfly Conservation is at the forefront of digital marketing trends. You will be responsible for analysing performance of digital marketing campaigns and making insight led decisions and recommendations, presenting your finding to internal stakeholders.

This role is a balance between strategic planning and operational delivery.

As our Access & Learning Assistant (Digital), you will deliver across the whole range of Access and Learning Department activities, while leading on the creation of digital content.

This is a key new role in the Grants, Community and Corporate Partnerships Unit to help maximise corporate and community partnership opportunities and help scale up this growing income stream for future years.  This locally based role will support current partnerships (including golf clubs, churches, schools and local corporates) as well as scoping new opportunities across Surrey. 1. Account Management

• Day to day/ support account management of select corporate and community partnerships. This will be agreed with their manager per partnership (who will retain leadership), but could include:

  • Representing the unit at local level events and/ or delivering marketing materials to community partners.
  • Regular communication including calls, meetings and sharing reports, presentations and other updates
• Being key relationship holder for select local corporate partnerships and community groups such as primary schools, churches, supermarkets, amateur sports clubs
• Database admin including checking opportunity pipelines and reporting requirements 
• Supporting individuals from companies or community groups to fundraise for us

2. Income generation

• Mapping (desktop research) of corporate and community opportunities across Surrey to support unit’s business development plans
• Management of a pipeline of golf clubs, making timely approaches to help the unit secure new captains’ charities
• Support role on larger corporate and community partnership pitches. 

3. Event support

• Event management and/ or support for events across the unit. 
• Represent Eikon at local external events such as conferences, expos, fetes and fairs.
• Actively seeking prize donations for auctions, raffles and events
• Attending community led fundraising events such as quizzes or mufti days run by corporate & community organisations.

4. Marketing, Communications and relationships

• Support and liaise with the Marketing and Communications team to deliver relevant and effective content and materials as well as maximising social media opportunities for corporate and community groups
• Coordinate bespoke mass communications to corporate and community groups e.g. appeals, reports and updates.

5. Strategy

• Contribute to Development Team strategies, annual plans and budgets

6. Staff management

• Take part in regular supervision and team meetings.

7. Quality and standards

• Ensure all staff and volunteers understand and deliver within Eikon’s safeguarding policies and practices when taking part in fundraising activities.

EduSpots is an innovative, dynamic, and community-driven UK and Ghanaian registered charity which connects, trains, and equips voluntary community educators to drive community-led change through education spaces named ‘Spots’. Our vision is of our world where communities unite to create the futures they want to see, through education.

Since 2016, through collaborating extensively with over 250 local volunteers, who take a central leadership role in the development of the network, we have supported 50 communities in creating and running community-led and owned education spaces named ‘Spots’, with a strategy to support them in moving towards our ‘Dream Spot Model’. About this role

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic fundraising professional, with a proven track record of income generation and a strong ability to develop impactful relationships with the skills to bring aligned individuals and organisations into our long-term EduSpots community. The post holder will be creative, passionate and self-motivated, with strong marketing and communications skills, able to design and implement strategic fundraising approaches. 

In this role, you will take on responsibility for identifying, creating and delivering impactful fundraising strategies that enable us to generate further relationships and income in support of our programmes. 

You will oversee the development of our individual giving and monthly giving strategies and further develop relationships with schools, corporate organisations and NGOs, with a focus on resource acquisition (e.g. books, electronic devices) alongside fundraising. You will also play a supportive role in events and campaigns, and work closely with our Head of Communications to ensure our marketing and communications strategy is integrated with our fundraising aims. Currently, we already have a trusts and foundations manager, but would welcome applicants with experience of trust fundraising.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

The key responsibilities of this role are to:

• Develop our individual giving and monthly giving strategies, including:

  • Ensuring we have the right tools in place.

  • Strengthening thanking and communications to existing supporters.

  • Trialling new strategies for outreach to new audiences.

• Organise occasional fundraising events (e.g. face-to-face events in London; virtual events and fundraising challenges).

• Support organisation and delivery of appeals and campaigns (e.g. the Big Give).

• Support the development of impactful relationships with schools, universities, corporates and NGOs for fundraising and resource acquisition (e.g. books, digital devices, science equipment). 

• If time and experience, possibly support grant applications. 

• Line manage, and provide support to, the intern/s (fundraising). 

Other

• Ensure all administrative tasks relating to the role are carried out accurately.

• To comply at all times with the organisation's policies, procedures and performance expectations of staff as set out in the Staff and Volunteers Handbook.

• To ensure compliance with data protection legislation.

• Any other duties as may be reasonably required under the role.

Skills, Experience and Attributes

Essential

• Proven track record of successful income generation from individuals or communities - ideally in a similar education / international development organisation 

• Experience of developing and maintaining successful income generating relationships (e.g. with schools, corporates, individuals, communities)

• Experience of digital marketing to engage new charity supporters / donors (including using paid advertising and innovative engagement techniques)

• Experience of email marketing and donor conversion strategies

• Strong communication and marketing skills, ideally with basic design skills (Canva)

• Ability to work effectively in a remote based role with minimal day-to-day support 

• Outstanding interpersonal skills 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Ability to use own initiative and work to tight and competing deadlines

• Ability to effectively manage workload and prioritise tasks 

• Good IT skills - Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Canva, Social Media

Desirable

• Experience of writing compelling and successful funding proposals 

• Experience of managing and reporting to funders

Tempo Time Credits started 15 years ago and is an ambitious movement that empowers, encourages, and engages people from all walks of life, from communities across the UK, to get involved and volunteer. For example, befriending or helping to improve outdoor spaces. Volunteers earn Tempo Time Credits as part of a reward and recognition which can be exchanged for a range of services and activities provided by our local and national partners.

In these challenging times, community support is more crucial than ever. Tempo stands at the forefront having engaged with 40 commissioned programmes, collaborated with 1,500 charities, empowered over 15,000 volunteers, issued over 1 million Time Credits, cultivated 750+ business venues offering rewards, and pioneered the world's first national Time Credit network. Through positive press coverage and support from key parliamentarians, recognition and visibility of Tempo Time Credits is growing across the UK.

Joining a small national team, the Business Partnerships Manager for London will support the London and national Tempo team to expand and deepen the networks of community, public and private sector programmes and to develop new opportunities and partnerships in London.

Key responsibilities:

• Regional Recognition Network Development: You will develop regional recognition opportunities with potential partners, attract a diverse range of regional partners aligned with Tempo funders' objectives, and ensure network variety meets programme and beneficiary needs.
• Lead Generation: You will promote Tempo's work through events and communications, identify and approach new business leads, attend events, present, and network, and coordinate business development enquiries and attend and pitch Time Credits in meetings.
• Management of the London Recognition Network: You will ensure the effective management of the Network, including partner communications and regular network audits, provide leadership for recognition communications, such as newsletters, marketing materials, and social media, contribute to reporting and provide data and evidence, and manage existing partner relationships.
• Support Network Sustainability and Development: You will facilitate local events, trips, and networking meetings, and support innovation, learning, and development across the network.

The Business Partnerships Manager will need to be innovative with ideas and approaches to grow and maintain partnerships. The successful candidate will need to be a good listener and people person as partnerships will be driven by the needs of the volunteers and community members and will have a genuine passion for supporting the development of individuals and organisations. You will be a natural team player to work alongside team members to deliver training and network events and will have excellent and adaptable communication skills. You will have strong reporting and analytical skills to support Tempo to demonstrate their impact within communities.

In this role, you will lead a team of 4 people to build strategic relationships with trusts new to WaterAid, as well as provide first-class stewardship to develop existing partnerships in the UK and Europe.

You'll also:

• Support your fellow Senior Managers to build a sustainable pipeline of new business prospects and streamline stewardship activities across the team.
• Work with the wider Philanthropy and Trusts team, and International Programmes Department to build compelling proposals and reports.
• Champion a collaborative and effective team culture, where learning is shared and diversity is celebrated.
• Develop a deep knowledge of WaterAid's programmatic activities and advocacy priorities, growing and leveraging influential relationships internally and externally to benefit trust partnerships.
• Collaborate with colleagues in-country and across WaterAid to prepare and deliver high-quality funding information on complex restricted projects and strategic objectives including complicated budgets and bespoke log frames and KPIs, in line with donor requirements.
• Work with a range of internal and external contacts to identify, cultivate and manage prospective partnerships and existing relationships across all appropriate levels, including CEO's, Directors or Trustees.
• Manage risks across the Trusts sub team by following internal governance procedures, including where relevant SMT briefings, working with media/PR/internal audit/compliance to flag risks and manage mitigation strategies.

About You:

• Demonstrable track record in managing a successful trust and foundation income stream, ensuring team performance indicators and income targets are met.
• Proven ability to personally manage a successful trust and foundation portfolio raising funds from existing and new supporters (£500k+).
• Confidence in representing WaterAid externally at events, conferences and developing co-creation opportunities.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
