Role Overview

We’re looking for an engaged and organised individual to be our new Marketing & Communications Coordinator!

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will support the Marketing & Communications team on its work to promote Maidstone Pride's brand and how we share our story.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Maidstone Pride’s Marketing & Communication Strategy

• Help the creation and posting of communications across our channels (e.g Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube).

• Help create and maintain consistency in Maidstone Pride’s brand, voice, and messaging.

• Monitor social media engagement alongside the Marketing & Communications Manager.

• Support and maintain a consistent brand identity across Maidstone Pride.

• Support the promotion of Maidstone Pride and its activities.

• Support the development of relationships with local media, partners, and sponsors.

• Build positive relationships with local media, partners, and sponsors.

• Ensure all communications are accessible, inclusive, and align with our aims and objectives.

General Responsibilities

In addition, all volunteers have the following general duties:

• All Volunteers and representatives of Maidstone Pride are expected to portray a positive image, both internally and externally, by displaying high standards of service, integrity, punctuality, politeness, and professionalism.

• To observe and uphold the requirements of the Maidstone Pride constitution, and act always in accordance with its governing documents and policies, including equal opportunities.

• Any other tasks that would be deemed suitable within this role as directed.

Our publicity team leaders have the important role of supporting a wider team of publicity volunteers. As a team our publicity volunteers collectively keep members of the public informed of the vital and varied ways we help our cats in need. Raising awareness is crucial to us being able to help the thousands of cats and kittens each year that rely on us. A higher profile can help raise funds, raise awareness of adopting a cat, promote neutering and encourage as many people as possible to learn about feline welfare.

About Trans Celebration

Trans Celebration is a trans-led, grassroots organisation working to uplift trans and gender-diverse individuals across the UK. Through inclusive campaigns, community engagement, and creative platforms such as fashion, arts, and beauty, we advocate for visibility, equality, and empowerment.

We’re looking for a motivated and creative Marketing Volunteer to support our campaigns and help spread our message of celebration and inclusion to a wider audience.

Job Summary

As a Marketing Volunteer, you will support the planning and execution of marketing strategies that promote Trans Celebration’s work, values, and campaigns. This role involves content creation, social media support, SEO assistance, and analytics tracking. It's an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on marketing experience in a mission-driven organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and rollout of marketing campaigns across digital platforms.

Support, guidance and keeping you safe

At Cats Protection we believe our volunteers should be happy and confident in their roles. We provide support and guidance from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We offer engaging online and face-to-face training, expenses and have policies and processes to help volunteers get the most out of their time with us.

Barefoot and Free is a small UK-based charity that gifts unforgettable staycations to families with neurodivergent children or children affected by trauma.

We are seeking creative and committed Volunteer Fundraisers to help us grow our small charity.

This is a remote volunteer role ideal for someone looking to use their creative fundraising knowledge to make a meaningful impact.

Role Overview
As a Volunteer Fundraiser at Barefoot and Free, you will be reuired to come up with fun ideas to fundraise, be able to engage people to fundraise and encourage new supporters.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and execute virtual and in-person fundraising events (eg raffles, quizzes, sponsored challenges)
• Liase with fundraisng volunteers (eg sponsored runners etc)
• Ensure events run smoothly by preparing, schedules, materials and plans. 
• Act as a main point of contact for invividual fundraisers and teams
• Regukar communication to offer encouragement and guidence.
• Procatively check they have everything they need (eg fundraisng pack, marketing materials) 
• Create.design a central fundraising tracker (eg excel or similar) 
• Log all fundraising activities, targets, deadlines ad progress updates 
• Collaborate with the social media volunteers (if applicable) to amplify campaigns
• Support the recruitment of new fundraising volunteers

What You’ll Bring

• Clear friendly written and verbal communication
• Ability to confidently engage with fundraisers, donors and team members remotely
• Excellent time management and ability to co-ordinate multiple activities at once
• Structured approach to planning events and tracking fundraising progress
• Strong communication skills, self-motovated with the ability to work independently with minimum supervision

Time Commitment
This is a flexible remote role. We ask for a commitment of 2 to 5 hours per week. We are happy to work around your availability.

What we need from you

This is a really flexible role, you can choose what you’d like to get involved with, for example: 

• face-to-face fundraising. Organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins 

• online fundraising. Setting up online appeals and writing impactful cat case studies that maximise donations

• marketing. Spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press  

• completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork

● championing our work. Getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement

● photography. Capturing images of cats in care, cats we are helping, events and all things Cats Protection

Time expectation

This is a flexible role that can fit around your other commitments to suit you. You’ll be part of a team raising vital funds while having fun in the process!
