Job description

Senior Mental Health Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Mental Health Support Worker to support young people with complex needs in Camden.

Position: Senior Mental Health Support Worker
Location: Camden, London
Contract: Permanent, full time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, rota including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
Salary: £31,203 per annum (ILW) plus pension and benefits
Closing Date: Sunday 12th October 2025

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Depaul UK, a charity committed to tackling homelessness and supporting vulnerable people. You will be part of Camden Kaleidoscope, an innovative supported accommodation service for young people with mental health and complex needs.

In this role, you will:

· Manage referrals, admissions and case coordination for young people, including those transitioning from inpatient services

· Develop needs and risk assessments, support and risk management plans

· Supervise and support Progression Coaches, volunteers and students

· Build strong relationships with young people, providing psychologically informed support

· Work in partnership with local services including CAMHS and social care teams

· Ensure safeguarding procedures and health and safety standards are met

About you

We are looking for someone with:

· A relevant qualification (e.g. psychology, counselling, social work, mental health) or equivalent experience

· Strong experience supporting young people with complex needs and challenging behaviour

· Experience of caseload management, risk assessment and multi-agency working

· The ability to establish therapeutic and professional relationships with young people

· A clear understanding of safeguarding and commitment to equality and diversity

· Supervisory experience is desirable
