Working with disabled children and adults and older people, you will provide information, advice and guidance to empower people to have choice and control over how their health and social care needs are met, through the use of Direct Payments.
Within this role, you will focus on supporting members of the public to responsibly recruit and employ their own support staff.

Key responsibilities
Volunteer Recruitment pipeline:
· Respond to all incoming enquiries and volunteer applications in a timely manner and in line with the charity's recruitment processes
· Responsible for clear communication to all prospective mentors in the pipeline, always giving a high level of customer service to volunteers and answering queries in a friendly professional manner
· Ensure every prospective mentor fully understands the benefits of volunteering with The Kids Network and has a first-class onboarding experience.
· Conduct volunteer interviews on a weekly basis to meet demand
· Call volunteers on a regular basis to check in on their progress and supporting them with their volunteer journey
· Maintain excellent data hygiene, ensuring at all times the charities CRM salesforce is being updated to ensure the pipeline is maintained
· Maintain the organisation vetting platform, following up with all volunteers who are stuck at various stages of the vetting checks process
· Carry out all the training admin pre and post the training day, working with the Volunteer Operations Leader to ensure this runs smoothly with high attendance
· Deliver 1 day weekend volunteer training alongside our Delivery Team when required.
Volunteer Recruitment Outreach:
· Maintain our digital recruitment streams
· Understand the communities we work in, working with the Volunteer Operations Leader to establishing links with community groups and local opportunities to attract different demographics
· Attend volunteer recruitment fairs and networking opportunities to promote volunteering with The Kids Network.
· Support with the admin and set up for those wanting to volunteer through a placement
· Follow the charity’s communication guidance and support communications work to attract and retain volunteers
· Feed ideas into and help to create content for emails being sent to volunteers in the pipeline and potential volunteers outside the organisation
· Attend mentee and mentor group activity sessions from time to time to better understand the purpose of our work
· Be an ambassador for The Kids Network
Safer Recruitment & Safeguarding:
· Assess new incoming applications in line with suitability for the role and scoring criteria
· Vet volunteers at all stages of the recruitment process, including interview and training in line with the charities safer recruitment policy
· Collect references and conduct DBS and oversees checks in line with our safer recruitment practices

Overall purpose
The Data and Insights Manager will be a vital part of Breaking Barriers’ Data and Innovation Team, which has overall responsibility for Breaking Barriers’ data infrastructure and data analysis (relating to clients, programmes, fundraising, corporate partners and communications). They will oversee the gathering, processing, analysis and presentation of Breaking Barriers’ data, in order to ensure we are as evidence-based and effective an organisation as possible. This will offer the opportunity to influence decision making at all levels and have a genuine impact on Breaking Barriers’ clients. The Data and Insights Manager will also take ownership of various projects to improve the organisation’s CRM (Salesforce) and its integration with other applications. In addition, they will support the Head of Data and Innovation with the management of the Data and Innovation Team’s working relationships with other teams and with coordinating the Data and Innovation team’s work.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in CRM management, ideally having worked as a Salesforce Administrator. They should possess a high level of data literacy, with knowledge of data analytics and visualisation. They should excel as a project manager and a communicator with a willingness to work collaboratively across teams. There is considerable scope for personal development in this role, with opportunities to shape the organisation’s future systems with a key emphasis on self-driven learning and development. About the role

Role Overview
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Property Department
Coordinator to provide high-level executive support to the Director of Property and coordination
across the department. This pivotal role will combine Executive Assistant responsibilities with
departmental coordination, ensuring the smooth running of operations, the effective flow of
information, and the delivery of accurate data and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
You will work closely with the Director of Property and two Heads of Function, whose specialist
teams manage the organisation’s diverse property portfolio. You will play a key role in preparing
materials for the Board of Trustees, coordinating the quarterly Property Committee, and
supporting departmental projects.
You will ensure timely flow of information and reporting between the team and stakeholders,
including SLT, Trustees and suppliers / contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Assistant to the Director of Property
- Manage the Director’s diary, meetings, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare agendas, take minutes of meetings, and follow up actions for key meetings.
- Draft correspondence, briefings, and presentations for the Director.
- Support the Director in tracking actions, deadlines and project progress.
Department Coordination
- Act as the central coordination point across the department, ensuring smooth communication between the Director, Heads of Functions, and their teams.
- Maintain departmental work plans, timelines, and trackers.
- Support tendering processes and analysis
- Manage the adminstration of the Charity’s insurance cover and policy
- Organise internal meetings, workshops, and away days.
- Collate and distribute key documents, ensuring version control and accessibility.
- Other tasks that may be reasonably requested, commensurate with the role.
Data Analysis and Presentation
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data from across the property portfolio.
- Prepare high-quality reports, dashboards, and visual presentations for departmental
meetings and board submissions. - Support the Director and Heads of Function in using data to inform decision-making and
measure performance. - Collaborate with both the Head of IT and the Sustainability and Impact Lead, to develop
the presentation of data for reporting purposes. - Ensure data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with organisational policies.
Board and Committee Support - Coordinate quarterly Property Committee meetings: arrange logistics, prepare and
circulate papers, and take accurate minutes. - Work with the Director to prepare papers and reports for the Board of Trustees.
- Ensure all governance requirements are met in relation to committee administration.
Skills, Experience & Attributes
Essential:
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple
priorities, working with various stakeholders. - Experience as an executive assistant, project coordinator, or similar role.
- Confident in analysing data and presenting it in a clear, accessible format, and proficient
in using data management systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, CRM. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and comfortable with
digital collaboration tools. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative approach with the ability to build strong working relationships.
Desirable:
- Experience in a property, facilities, or asset management context.
- Knowledge of governance processes in not-for-profit organisations.
- Understanding of performance measurement and KPI reporting.

Role Overview
upReach is seeking to hire an Organisational Initiatives and Governance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with upReach’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on strategic projects, internal communication, governance, and other internal and external initiatives.
The role will provide direct support to the SLT, building their capacity and enabling the charity to continue to grow and increase its impact. They will support the collection of key data for strategic decision making and take responsibility for regular and accurate reporting to our Boards, whilst also leading on the planning and delivery of several key projects. Projects they work on will include exploring how to best expand our work in Scotland and coordinating the cohesive delivery of work that falls under the umbrella of our ‘Double Benefit’ approach.
Whilst Governance and the support provided to the SLT will remain consistent in this role, organisational initiatives will change over time, depending on where it is agreed with the SLT that the ROI is greatest and can best achieve upReach’s overarching mission.
Core Responsibilities
The Organisational Initiatives and Governance Manager will report to the Director of People and Strategy and work on initiatives and projects that the SLT believe will help us to best achieve our mission. In addition to this, the Organisational Initiatives and Governance Manager will also work closely with the SLT to provide governance and operational support. This will include coordinating with Trustees to organise the yearly calendar of governance events and preparing papers for Trustees, Advisory Board and Services meetings, including the Annual Report.
This role will require influencing and collaboration in order to deliver upReach’s mission through a range of stakeholders across the team.
Core responsibilities will include:
1) Strategic Projects & Organisational Initiatives

Be the operational driver of organisational initiatives, as agreed on by SLT, that have an impact on the success of upReach’s mission and our impact on Associates across the country.

Projects may be outward facing or operational in scope, depending on what is deemed to be of most importance at the time. They may also be at different stages in their life cycle, and as such, the role may require initial exploration phases, creation of implementation plans and the coordination of different teams to complete and assess success, as required by the specific initiative.

Attending meetings and following up with key stakeholders to ensure the completion of relevant projects to a high standard.

Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders to gather and report key information, along with recommendations, to the SLT or other senior managers.
2) Governance & Leadership Support

3) National Development & Expansion

Be the champion for upReach’s national development strategy, ensuring there is understanding and buy-in across the team regarding the importance of upReach’s growth outside of London with respect to social mobility coldspots and existing regional presence and tracking OKRs related to this.

Drive plans regarding how best upReach can expand its work in Scotland. Having recently successfully registered as a Scottish charity we are exploring what expansion could and should look like, and this role will work on the practicalities regarding how upReach can sustainably support more students in Scotland. Pending approval of plans from the SLT and Board, the role would lead on enacting the agreed upon approach.

Liaison with relevant departments to collaborate on prospect fundraising, university and employer partnerships, as well as student attraction and onboarding activities, will be required as part of this initiative.

4) Double Benefit Approach

Have oversight of a cohesive, deliberate programme of Double Benefit effective practice at upReach, working across teams to do so. This will include:

Supporting the Events team in the creation of the agenda and delivery of the annual Championing Change event in collaboration with Bank of America, bringing together employers across industries to promote inclusion and social mobility.

Support work on policy being led by the Marketing and Communications Team to ensure it is cohesive with our wider Double Benefit approach.

Coordinating with the Partnerships team regarding use of our Employer Engagement Toolkit and any bespoke consultancy or training requested.

This role will also provide line management for 1-2 members of our Future Charity Leaders Programme one day per week, as they work on a six month ‘rotation’ in the areas described above.

We are recruiting for a Collection Development Worker to join our team who will work with the print Commonweal Collection and, through development of a digital strategy, increase the use and visibility of the Collection. This post also includes funding for a 60 hour discrete scoping project linking the resources on the Civil Resistance.info bibliography with the physical resources in the Collection. This role will work in collaboration with the Bradford Peace Museum at Saltaire and the J.B. Priestley Library, University of Bradford.
Collection Development Worker: Primary purpose of the role
To manage the Commonweal Collection, including responsibility for digital strategy, in order to provide access to resources for activist individuals and organisations, and increase nonviolent action within movements for positive social change.
Duties and responsibilitie:
The post-holder acts as the main point of contact for the Collection and is resonsible for ensuring it is is up-to-date and accessible. The intial focus of this fixed term contract is to build on work already undertaken with the print collection by scoping a digital strategy linking the Commonweal Collection to the CivilResistance.info website building on its role as a rich source of materials to inspire, support and informactivists seeking nonviolent transformative change.
- To liaise closely with the J.B Priestley Library, including with its Special Collections archive.
- To undertake a discrete scoping project (60 hours) on integrating the work of the CivilResistance.info website and Commonweal Collection ahead of future funding and development.
- To manage, maintain and develop the physical Commonweal Collection and updating the online library management system.
