We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as our Project Assistant.

The post holder will be responsible for providing effective support to the delivery of the Walk To School Outreach (WTSO) project across the Midlands and South of England. This will include research into schools’ eligibility and suitability for the delivery of this behaviour change project, assisting with online engagement activities and supporting with delivery on the ground through school and community events. 

You will also be expected to undertake administrative duties as required, including formatting and use of spreadsheet data.

This will be a varied role and an ability to embrace a diversity of tasks is essential, as is a positive ‘can do’ attitude to work.

Our team comprises of an Estate Manager, Office Admin, the post we are looking to recruit to and 2 amazing cleaning staff.

We ensure the smooth & efficient running of the Co-Operative, comprising of 269 flats (42 Social Housing). From a governance perspective,  we are supported by the management committee . 10 members, of which there are 3 Officers, Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.

JOB PURPOSE

The Office Administrator will undertake all administrative support duties, typing, creating letters/templates, maintaining all databases of contact and contractors, filing and responding and maintaining records to standard enquiries. The role also requires answering the phone and logging calls, checking voicemails, opening mail, creating Notices and populating the Notice Boards at regular intervals, ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information and abiding by Goulden House Co-Operative Ltd GDPR regulations. 

MAIN DUTIES

• Resident engagement, taking and responding to residents’ calls, ensuring that all such engagement is documented on the Goulden House Resident Engagement Database
• Updating the Goulden House Registers (Risk Register, Complaints Register, Anti-Social Behaviour Register, Intercom Databases etc)
• Raise Works Orders and Purchase Orders and services on SAGE as per Estate Manager instruction
• Taking responsibility for the Approved Contractor List, ensuring that the contractor’s documentation is correct and current, i.e. Public Liability, relevant Health & Safety certification
• Liaise with contractors and organising repairs whilst ensuring compliance with the Goulden House Co-Operative Ltd Procurement Policy
• Issuing resident/visitor parking permits
• Monitor CCTV daily putting particular emphasis on fly-tippers
• Updating of Notice Boards across the site
• Inspecting the cleanliness of the Communal Areas twice weekly and signing off of the Cleaning Schedules which are placed in all of the Communal Areas, in the absence of the Estate Manager.  
• Estate walk around as required or in the Estate Manager’s absence
• To undertake such duties as are reasonably assigned to you from time to time by Estate Manager

 SERVICE DELIVERY

• To take a pro-active role in Health & Safety issues on the estate.
• To assist in ensuring the Co-operatives’ aims in relation to customer awareness are achieved.
• To promote a positive image through the development of good working relationships with tenants, lessees, committee members, contractors, Wandsworth Council staff and other agencies.
• To ensure equal opportunities policies and procedures are complied with in relation to staff, members, residents and the general public.
• The Office Administrator may be required to take on any other duties that may be reasonably expected of the position as advised by the Estate Manager

You will ensure children and young people are safeguarded through robust child protection processes and management systems.
 
Skills & Abilities
 
To excel in this role, you must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary team. Strong strategic planning, organization, and change management skills are essential, along with excellent financial management skills and business planning abilities. Your leadership style should be approachable, fair, and decisive, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
 
You should have experience as a Registered Manager or Responsible Individual, with in-depth knowledge of Ofsted Residential Children’s Home guidance. Experience of leading an Ofsted inspection is also crucial for this role.

The Supporter-led Fundraising (SLF) Department at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for mass fundraising through enabling individuals, communities and companies to support ARUK through their own talents and passions. As well as driving registrations and income through third party, virtual and mass participation events and managing these relationships to maximise income.

We are looking to for an Online Fundraising Executive to support the team. In this role you will be the face of our friendly and passionate Online Fundraising Team; building relationships with supporters who use online channels to fundraise such as Facebook challenges, streaming and crypto donors.

You will also be at the forefront of the fundraising sector as it develops; keen to understand new areas of growth, you will help spot potential and trends in new areas of online fundraising and be willing to adapt to this quickly changing area.

You will provide crucial administrative support to ensure the smooth integration of our online fundraising systems across ARUK. Support may include adding accurate details to our database, tracking and monitoring income, responsibility for online donation platforms and virtual fundraising as well as general administrative duties in the office.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Online Administrative Support

· Steward online fundraising supporters, with a particular focus on Facebook challenge moderation and messaging

· Lead on specific fundraising processes e.g. merchandise for Facebook challenges

· Provide lead administrative support for all Facebook challenges, crypto donations and streaming campaigns

· Support with social media and website updates including virtual fundraising challenges

· Provide data support to the Online Fundraising Manager

· Manage a portfolio of online fundraising sites, tracking income and undertaking audits

· Ensure clear, consistent and up to date fundraising data management including adding new constituents to the fundraising database, accurately recording and maintaining supporter details, monitoring and tracking supporter income and making sure supporters are appropriately thanked in a timely manner

· Support with online fundraising materials requests where relevant

· Ensure all communications are in line with GDPR policies.

Spotting supporter potential

· Effectively and consistently spot opportunities to build networks among our online fundraising community and flag these to the relevant members of the team.

· As one of the key online fundraising contacts, keep the manager and team up to date with supporter feedback.

· Support the team in approaches to relevant corporates, such as tech start-ups and gaming developers.

· Support the team in outreach to new supporters through platforms such as social media, Twitch, Discord servers and Reddit.

· Use data reports to spot fundraising trends and identify opportunities.

· Work closely with SLF and the Supporter Engagement Team in particular to share and implement online fundraising and stewardship ideas with support from the Online Fundraising Manager.

Creativity and Trend Hunting

· Keep abreast of and identify new online fundraising trends through horizon scanning

· Write briefs and proposals for internal stakeholders to become involved in potential opportunities

· Evaluate potential opportunities to understand which ones we should prioritise.

Collaboration

· Build strong relationships with teams across the organisation in order to work collaboratively, allowing you to offer the best stewardship journey to our supporters.

· Work closely with the Digital Team to ensure collaboration and sharing of ideas. Keep up to date with their work and identify where fundraising could fit in.

· Work with our Supporters and Families Team by sharing fundraiser stories to maximise potential publicity

· Work closely with teams such as Science Communications, Digital and Design to help create appropriate online stewardship journey assets for the whole of SLF

· Liaise with our Supporter Care team to ensure processes are in-line across the organisation

· Work with Internal Communications to ensure the team’s objectives and work are communicated effectively.

Senior Housing & Welfare Advice Worker’s post

The Manna Day Centre is a drop-in Centre for homeless and vulnerably housed single men and women. It is run by a team of project workers, under the Director, who are responsible for its smooth operation. Basic Services offered include food, showers, clothing, housing & welfare advice, medical care, and access to laptops. The Centre opens to service users 7 days a week, 8.30am– 1.30pm. The working week for this post is Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 4.00pm each day.

The Senior Housing & Welfare Advice Worker must have a commitment to homeless people, which includes acceptance and respect. Responsibilities are shared among the team according to needs, skills and aptitudes. The annual salary is negotiable (depending on your experience) ranging from £33,775 to £41,359. Benefits include a pension scheme, travel loans and 25 days annual leave (plus time in lieu of bank holidays worked).

About the role

One of the core areas of CAST’s work is building the capacity of the social sector to respond to the rapid scale advances in AI. The evidence from the Charity Digital Skills Report; Joseph Rowntree's Grassroots and Nonprofits research and our own AI survey shows that charities are unlikely to benefit from - or respond to the challenges of - AI without intentional support and capacity building. To support charities’ (critical) adoption of AI we need to invest in supporting sector-experiments that create demonstrable impact (acting as showcases), working alongside the peer groups, charities and working groups to help move conversations into practical action.

To achieve that, we are looking to recruit a Head of Design for AI to focus on driving forward this work in a number of different ways:

• Blending expertise in AI technologies with human-centered design principles to foster innovation and inclusivity across the social sector;
• Providing direct support to organisations and specific product design advice;
• Designing a range of experiments and tools alongside the sector and CAST team;
• Supporting the design and development of specific programmes, training and interventions that will help shift the sector on AI

Whilst there is a lot of work underway and in the pipeline on AI this role will be expected to shape this work based on their deep experience and knowledge of AI and product design, and support the wider team at CAST to upskill in this area.

What you'll achieve

• Develop and execute a vision for the integration of AI into CAST’s design methodologies, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s mission and values.
• Alongside the Head of Technical AI Experiments, lead the design, development, and deployment of AI experiments, tools and resources tailored to the needs of the social sector;
• Working with the wider CAST team, contribute to the ongoing development of ethical design principles in AI applications, ensuring transparency, accessibility, and fairness in all outputs;
• Work closely with charities, community groups, funders, and tech partners to co-design AI solutions that address real-world challenges and drive meaningful outcomes;
• Support social sector organisations to develop the skills and resources needed to design and implement AI systems effectively, fostering confidence and innovation through both direct coaching and via networks;
• Stay ahead of developments in AI and design thinking, identifying opportunities to incorporate emerging trends and technologies into CAST’s initiatives;
• Support the wider CAST team in developing their knowledge and skills on AI and human-centred design, and how we can use AI to best effect within our own work;

Skills and capabilities required

• Demonstrated expertise in human-centered design, particularly in projects involving AI technologies or data-driven solutions; 
• Proven leadership experience in design and innovation, preferably within the social sector;
• Deep understanding of AI principles, including machine learning, natural language processing, and their design implications;
• Strong commitment to ethical design, accessibility, and inclusivity;
• Excellent collaboration and facilitation skills, with the ability to bring together diverse stakeholders to achieve shared goals;
• High levels of autonomy with extraordinary organisation and communication skills.
• Able to thrive in a distributed team that changes and responds to the needs of the network and charity sector
• A strong commitment to the aims and objectives of CAST.

For over 60 years the National Children’s Bureau (NCB) has been building a better childhood for all.

NCB have worked with and for the PHA and other key stakeholders in Northern Ireland for over 10 years to improve outcomes for children, young people and families.  As part of our contract with PHA we have supported the development of the Infant Mental Health Framework, the effective implementation of evidence-based programmes for children and families, and the emerging policy and practice space for early years and family support.

This role will work closely with the NI Programme Manager to coordinate project activities and provide high-level project support primarily for the work of the Early Childhood Unit in Northern Ireland. The post holder will also be responsible for coordination of the organisation-wide NI Community of Practice and will provide essential administrative and coordination support to the NI Director and Assistant Director on maintaining and growing our stakeholder engagement efforts in NI.

Ebony Horse Club is a Brixton-based charity that works with young people from low-income backgrounds, using horses as a powerful catalyst to build confidence, aspirations, and life skills.

Join a fun, enthusiatic team of staff and volunteers - as well as 9 horses (and a couple of dogs). We're looking for a flexible, creative and positive person to take the lead on organising trips, creating opportunities and working directly with young people on site here in Brixton. 

The role requires evening and weekend work, however we know life happens so try to offer as much flexibility as possible.
