Sounds great, what will I be doing?
As a Peer Support Worker, you will manage a caseload of clients requiring early intervention or preventative mental health support, delivering individual and group-based activities that promote recovery, wellbeing, and community engagement. You will clearly communicate the service's aims and pathways, enabling clients to co-produce their support plans and empowering them to engage with professionals across housing, health, employment, and social care. Working flexibly within a team, you will ensure service coverage, uphold safety and safeguarding procedures, and support the delivery of co-produced peer networks and community initiatives. You will also maintain accurate records, ensure timely referrals and assessments, and participate in supervision and development processes, all while contributing to a high-quality, person-centred service.

Here's what the team will be looking for
A candidate will have lived experience of navigating mental health care pathways, such as emergency department visits, acute admissions, or engagement with community mental health services, and a strong understanding of the issues faced by individuals with a range of mental health conditions. They will demonstrate the ability to offer support with empathy, dignity, and respect, while rapidly building trust with service users, carers, professionals, and peer workers. Excellent verbal and listening skills are essential for engaging effectively during crises and in day-to-day interactions, both face-to-face and over the phone. The candidate will also have a good understanding of local mental health and wellbeing services, recovery tools, and safeguarding practices, with the ability to assess needs, risks, and aspirations and provide appropriate signposting. Strong prioritisation, time management, and the ability to work dynamically under pressure are key, alongside good literacy and numeracy skills, proficiency in IT including MS Word, Outlook, and internet use, and the ability to produce clear written correspondence. They must be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, support the induction of new peer staff and volunteers, and demonstrate excellent communication and partnership-building skills to contribute positively to a person-centred, recovery-focused service.

Proposal Development & Submission: Leading the end-to-end development of high-quality, persuasive grant applications. This involves crafting compelling narratives from the heart, developing robust budgets factoring in overheads, and ensuring timely submission.

Relationship Management & Stewardship: Building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with both our existing and prospective funders. This means regular, personalised communication, sharing impactful updates and acting as a Scotty’s ambassador at funder events and meetings.

Onboarding & Immersion: Dive deep and achieve a comprehensive understanding of Scotty’s operating system (The Scotty’s OS), our values, our behaviours, our mission, and the significant impact we have. This will happen through intro meetings with everyone on the team and a tailored onboarding program.

Grant Portfolio Audit & Handover: Conduct an audit of our existing grant portfolio, reviewing active grants, reporting schedules, and our funder relationships. We'll begin the handover process for existing relationships with the Head of Fundraising, ensuring a smooth transition.

Funder Engagement & Feedback: Reach out and initiate contact with at least 5 key existing funders. This is about listening, gathering their valuable feedback, understanding their priorities, and beginning to build those personal, trusting rapports.

Birmingham and Solihull Women’s aid have for over 40 years supported women and children with services around domestic violence and abuse. Could you be a part of our team as we continue our mission to end domestic violence and abuse?
The region’s leading charity in tackling violence against women and girls, BSWA offers a helpline, webchat, drop in and and community support as well as emergency accommodation in six refuges across the area.
Projects supports women in the criminal justice system, in healthcare settings, and throughout the community, offering support to women and children experiencing domestic violence. Alongside this, we also have colleagues offering training and consultancy to businesses and health and social care professionals alike, raising awareness on gender based violence issues.

The Purpose of the service is to establish a local integrated offer of intensive, therapeutic overnight stays and outreach support. Focused upon building the capability and resilience of families so the child/young person can experience greater permanency of care with their families, foster care, or benefit from the range of services available to them in their community.
The Service will focus on improving the outcomes for Children and Young people on the Autistic Spectrum, and other learning disabilities with the aim of reducing the number of children referred for residential care.

As a Senior Community Support Worker (Positive Behaviour Support) you will provide first line management to a team of Community Support Workers (Positive Behaviour Support), developing their capability through demonstrating the right values and behaviours, mentoring staff, and supporting their ongoing development.
The aim of the Early Intervention and Prevention Service is to work with families that may be struggling with managing the behaviour of one or more of their children, you will work alongside the family and multi agencies to deliver a high standard of care and support.
You will have the opportunity to receive formal Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) training and coaching from qualified behavioural specialists within the Together Trust.
Senior support staff will work alongside management to ensure the service meets Ofsted children’s home regulations and works in line with current legislation.
This service will develop to offer respite care to the families and young people that we support and from the Manchester City Council Local Authority Area. This service will be a dual registered OFSTED and CQC service.
