The service is located close to Wellingborough town centre. There is onsite parking for staff and good transport links. The service is a large Victorian House with an expansive garden which the individuals love to spend time in during the warmer weather. Individuals living at the service are sociable and active and enjoy lots of interaction with their staff. They enjoy spending quality time with the staff team at the service and out in the community. Examples of activities include walks around the local area, going shopping, sensory activities, shopping in the town centre, day trips out, visiting arts and crafts, and board games holidays at home or abroad.

Support Worker duties include:

• Assisting with daily living skills like cooking, shopping and using public transport to providing emotional support for both the service users and their families, your impact will be truly transformative. You will also support with personal care while ensuring dignity is maintained, and handle tasks such as administering medication, managing paperwork ensuring the service runs smoothly. Providing respectful and dignified personal care including the administration of medication.
• Working shifts which include mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays including Christmas day
• Supporting service users with the activities they enjoy, such as bowling, Shopping, days out, holidays on their own or as a house Supporting individuals to manage all aspects of their home environment and ensure it is reflective of their personal tastes and preferences

Previous experience with individuals who have learning disabilities or autism is not essential, full training will be provided. However, you must be able to demonstrate a warm and caring personality with a positive and proactive approach to the role.

About the role:

This role is based in Rochdale Police station along with limited hybrid working, you must be prepared to support perpetrators of domestic abuse holistically to address their support needs in order for them to be ready to engage in a behaviour change programme.

As a Perpetrator Caseworker you will:

• Work with male perpetrators to access services, i.e housing, mental health support and drug and alcohol services.
• Encourage positive options for behaviour change throughout the service user's time in the service. Using a combination of motivational work, relationship building and a broad range of skills to encourage service users to address their abusive behaviour.

You will need:

• Excellent understanding of domestic abuse and stalking, including the impact on victims and their children, and the legal and practical remedies available.
• Belief in perpetrator behaviour change.
• Empathy and the ability to support and guide your service users, demonstrating excellent advisory, negotiation & persuasive skills.
• Experience of working directly with perpetrators of domestic abuse in a statutory, voluntary, social or community work setting.
• A good knowledge of effective ways of working/engaging with perpetrators of domestic abuse.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including networking skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with other agencies.
• Ideally a background in Domestic Abuse Services, Probation, Homelessness or the Police would be advantageous.

• Use professional judgement to assess the needs of the service users who present with risk to life and manage and report any matters related to safeguarding. 
• Maintain accurate records and input data monitoring into the data base system.
• Participate in clinical supervision and reflective practise. 
• Provide training, mentoring and coaching to new recruits.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• a degree or professional qualification in Health or Social Care, Community Work or a related discipline
• previous experience of working in an advisory capacity in suicide prevention or mental health
• a proven record of working directly with vulnerable young people
• experience of providing advice and guidance via multiple communication channels
• the ability to empathise, support and build rapport with suicidal people and those who care about them, remaining non-judgemental and adhering to the remit of the service

Salary: £31,454 per annum (Scale point 24) progressing by increments to £34,776 per annum (Scale point 28) As a night shift worker, you will receive an additional allowance of £173.00 per month based on working 4 nights per week.

Hours:  33 hours per week

Working arrangements:  This role will work shifts starting at 10:25pm and finishing at 7:40am. Shifts will be on a rota bases across a 7-day working week.  33 hours will be based upon working 4 nights shifts per week.
