This is an exciting opportunity to support the coordination of an Early Help Service. The service will focus on identifying service gaps across Birmingham to enable families to access Early Help and support, through the application of Early Help.  You will play a key role in leading quality assurance and the day–to–day delivery of the service, providing effective management and leadership to a team of Early Help Support Workers and Early Help Development Workers. As the Service Manager, you will be required to work in partnership with the Operational Manager to support the strategic development of the integrated service offer for children and families living in the West of Birmingham. You will be required to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders and actively engage in local and district meetings and with Birmingham Childrens Trust. As the Service Manager, you will be working as a part of a management team and be accountable for the quality standards in the service, building and sustaining professional relationships with all stakeholders.

The Service Manager will:

• Work closely with the public and voluntary sector.

• Lead in the allocation of Family Connect Form.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of quality assurance.

About the Service

As part of an innovative pilot project, funded by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime, Solace will be providing two specialist workers to support victim/survivors engaged in the perpetrator behaviour change programme as part of a conditional caution. The programme aims to address perpetrators behaviour and increase safety for victim/survivors. In doing so, it is essential that the V/S has holistic support to ensure any risks are identified and managed.

This is a pilot project and it is expected that there will be a considerable amount of testing and learning, trailing new ways of working to meet intended outcomes.

About the Role

You will be working closely in partnership with Police forces in North London, as well as the Hampton Trust, to provide support for victim/survivors engaged in the CARA programme. You will also be supporting Police Officers to discuss eligibility for the programme and conditional cautions. You will be developing and delivering a series of training and learning sessions for the Police. As a new project, you will be developing key partnership relations, to strengthen collaborative working between the Police and Solace. You will provide light touch support to survivors whose partners are engaged with the CARA program, assess risk and share key updates with Hampton Trust and the Police to ensure safety.

About You

We're looking for highly organised and self-motivated applicants who are passionate about ending VAWG. You will have a “can-do‟ approach and demonstrable commitment to Solace’s feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer. You will receive training and support for this role as necessary.

Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children, experience of dynamic risk assessment and providing emotional and practical support to victims of VAWG.  As this is a pilot programme where the delivery model may change, a flexible and adaptive approach to your work is important as well as willingness to contribute to programme evaluation. Part of your time will be spent ensuring that Police colleagues have the information they need to effectively administer conditional cautions so you will work closely with Police, Hampton Trust to develop different training elements, a willingness to develop and deliver this material is essential.

A relevant qualification in VAWG is essential, as well as willingness to undergo Police vetting.

They will have a track record of delivering value-added initiatives such as events, groups, and volunteer or student placements, and be confident representing the organisation at external events, including delivering presentations to stakeholders and commissioners. Strong time management, prioritisation, and communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, including overseeing the induction of new peer staff and volunteers. Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and internet use, as well as good literacy and numeracy skills, are required. The candidate will also have sound knowledge of local mental health and wellbeing services, recovery tools, and the ability to respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns. Methodical and well-organised, you will have significant proven experience of providing direct emotional, practical and welfare support to survivors of VAWG and their children. You will be experienced in identifying and responding to the risks to and needs of women and children affected by VAWG. You will have proven experience of advocating to statutory agencies in a multi-agency setting in order to secure safeguarding outcomes for children affected by violence against women and children. You will have a demonstrable ability to use Microsoft Office, excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and be a proactive team player.

About the project

Set up by Southwark Council, the Homes for Ukraine project supports families and individuals from Ukraine who have been granted visas to live and work in the UK. After an initial period living with host families or in temporary accommodation, the project helps households take the next step towards independence by supporting them to move into private rented accommodation, assisting them in finding employment, and linking them with wider community support networks, while working holistically to ensure their individual needs are met. This approach aims to help Ukrainian households settle and thrive in the UK.

The Deputy Contract Manager is responsible for the operational management of our specialist customer focused support services across the service. Role - Zero Hours Children's Resource Worker

Hours - Variable and inconsistent including evenings and weekends

TACT West Midlands are looking for a children's resource worker to collaborate with them to support foster children and carers within Walsall, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Sandwell, Dudley, Shropshire, Cannock, Coventry. The ideal Children's Resource Worker will already have some experience in engagement and participation with vulnerable children, young people, care experienced children or have similar experience in child-facing settings.  Activities would include completing one-one work with children and young people, taking to activities, completing emotional literacy work. Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. In some services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.

Job Summary
 
You will work across both our SafeCall and Hertfordshire Missing Children’s Services, providing emotional and practical support to young people using virtual methods of communication. You will support young people who have been or who are at risk of missing and being exploited. You will provide a safe and confidential space for them to talk through their experiences and to disclose any harm and ongoing adverse experiences they have suffered. You will be a strong advocate for young people and families, working with them and other agencies to ensure they get the help they need to stay safe, and to reduce the risks of harm they face.
 
The Hertfordshire Missing Children’s Team operates on weekdays throughout Hertfordshire and is responsible for providing safeguarding, practical and emotional support, casework, advocacy and safety planning.
 
The dedicated SafeCall casework team is responsible for providing safeguarding, practical and emotional support, casework, advocacy, practical advice and emotional support nationally. The SafeCall team work collaboratively with the Helplines team who provide anonymous expert crisis support, safeguarding, safety planning, signposting and referrals out of hours capacity. These two teams ensure the full wraparound SafeCall service.
 
Key Accountabilities

• Deliver supportive interventions to families, parents, carers, children, and young people who have been missing or experiencing involvement with gangs & county lines
• To deliver national anonymous support via phone, email, SMS, and live chat, working collaboratively with the helpline team to offer a wraparound SafeCall service.
• Deliver Return Home Discussions / 121 Session support for the returned missing / vulnerable young people / children within expeditious timescales
• Speak up for children, young people, parents and carers who are at risk
• Provide feedback to the referring agency (with consent) on the general progress of the intervention and any identifiable needs which could be better met.
• Support children, young people, parents and carers through on-going support
• Develop support plans for children, young people and their families/carer to work towards mutually agreed goals.
• Support parents and carers to understand the service and the wider support available through the charity
• Be sensitive to the distress parents and carers may be experiencing following a child’s disappearance, which can sometimes be ongoing in relation to CCE.
 
About you

Experience

• Significant experience working directly to support at risk young people and families in a social care, statutory or voluntary sector setting;
• Significant experience of successfully advocating for young people and families to get the support they need from other agencies;
• Experience of assessing needs, recognising risk and implementing safeguarding procedures to safeguard children, young people or vulnerable adults.
 
Abilities, Skills and Knowledge

Working (proven) knowledge of the following:
• the particular risks faced by children and young people who are missing, associated with a gang, involved in county lines and experiencing child criminal exploitation
• effective methods for safeguarding children and young people who are missing, associated with a gang, involved in county lines and experiencing child criminal exploitation
• challenges related to the safeguarding of vulnerable children / young people

Linden Road in Redbourn supports 2 gentlemen living in their own bungalows with everyday life skills. The service provides a 24/7 support service, with an emphasis on choice and control, enabling customers to achieve greater independence, improved quality of life and integration into the wider community.
We are looking some someone who is able to build supportive, trusting relationships with customers and create a positive atmosphere. You need to be able to provide a flexible, personalised and responsive support service that is tailored to each customer's abilities and aspirations. This will include a willingness to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
Customers need support with daily living activities, including practical assistance, cooking, feeding, cleaning and person care. This is a unique opportunity to be at the helm of our Delhi office, overseeing our programmes, engaging with key stakeholders, and strengthening the labour movement across all transport sectors in India and South Asia.

About the Role

As the Head of the India Office, you will be the senior representative and strategic leader for the ITF in the region. You will have overall responsibility for the operational and political effectiveness of the Delhi office, ensuring our work is aligned with both regional and global objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Leadership: Providing high-level oversight of all work programmes and administrative functions, ensuring the office contributes decisively to the ITF's regional and global strategies.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Union Strengthening: Building and maintaining strong, strategic relationships with ITF-affiliated unions and potential affiliates. You will offer high-level political and strategic support to advance organising, advocacy, and leadership development.
