About Sebby’s Corner

Sebby’s Corner is a Barnet-based charity supporting vulnerable families and children living in poverty across London and the South East. We support thousands of families every year with clothing, nappies, formula, school uniforms, birthday gifts and more. In 2024–25, we supported almost 4,000 children and over 2,300 parents, distributing £482,993 worth of essentials.

Sebby’s Corner serves families in crisis, many of whom are experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic abuse, seeking asylum, or living in poverty. Referrals are made by frontline professionals including social workers, midwives, health visitors, and family support workers so we can ensure we are reaching the most vulnerable.

We believe by meeting immediate material needs, we can help stabilise families, reduce stress, and improve the wellbeing of both parents and children. We believe it is impossible to break free from debt, apply for work, or rebuild your life when you don’t know where your baby’s next nappy is coming from and that’s where our support begins.

About the Role

We are looking for a confident and strategic fundraiser with proven experience in major donor and corporate fundraising. You will lead our income generation, helping us to raise over £400,000 every year, with a focus on building high-value, long-term partnerships with individuals and companies. You will also oversee community fundraising, events and supporter engagement, ensuring every donor feels valued and connected to our mission.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves cultivating relationships, is commercially minded, and can bring fresh ideas to grow sustainable income for Sebby’s Corner.

Key Responsibilities

MAJOR DONORS

• Take the lead in cultivating, stewarding, and retaining high-value individual donors, ensuring they feel personally connected to Sebby’s Corner and the impact of their support.

• Grow and manage our Patronage Programme, developing tailored stewardship plans and recognition opportunities for different giving levels.

• Work closely with the CEO and trustees to leverage their networks and open doors to new prospects, building a strong pipeline of high-value supporters.

• Host and attend events, briefings, and meetings with donors to deepen relationships and encourage long-term commitment.

CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS

• Develop and deliver a proactive strategy to secure Charity of the Year partnerships, sponsorships, corporate volunteering, in-kind donations, and payroll giving schemes.

• Build and nurture long-term relationships with local and national businesses, ensuring they are engaged with Sebby’s Corner’s mission and receive excellent stewardship.

• Create engaging fundraising opportunities for companies, such as hub-based volunteering, team packathons, and staff fundraising challenges.

• Work with the Head of Operations and service teams to align corporate partnerships with organisational needs, ensuring mutual benefit and maximum impact.

INDIVIDUAL GIVING & CAMPAIGNS

• Work alongside the CEO to lead Sebby’s Corner’s annual Charity Extra appeal, including developing campaign messaging, recruiting and motivating Champions, and ensuring the appeal delivers maximum income and visibility.

• Lead on Sebby’s Corner’s own fundraising events, working with staff, volunteers, and suppliers to deliver high-quality and financially successful events.

• Lead the growth of regular giving and one-off donations, ensuring donors receive timely, personalised stewardship.

• Design and deliver seasonal appeals (e.g. School Uniform, Christmas, Father’s Day), setting clear targets and analysing results to inform future campaigns.

• Oversee the development of compelling supporter communications, including newsletters, impact stories, and social media content, to inspire donors and demonstrate transparency.

LEADERSHIP & STRATEGY

• Develop and implement a clear fundraising strategy to diversify income streams and grow sustainable, high-value support.

• Line-manage the Volunteer & Community Lead, providing guidance and support across their portfolio, which includes coordinating hub volunteers, managing challenge events (e.g. London Marathon), and supporting community groups and fundraisers.

• Contribute actively to the leadership of Sebby’s Corner, working collaboratively with the CEO and Head of Operations to shape strategy and ensure fundraising is integrated across the organisation.

• Use Salesforce to manage supporter data, monitor campaign performance, and produce accurate, timely reports for the CEO and trustees.

Person Specification

Essential

• Proven success in securing and stewarding high-value income (e.g. major donors, corporates, or significant partnerships)

• Experience planning and delivering successful fundraising campaigns and/or events with clear outcomes

• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, confident engaging with high-net-worth individuals, trustees, and senior business leaders

• Experience line-managing staff, interns, or volunteers

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to craft compelling cases for support and inspiring donor communications

• Highly organised and adaptable, able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing charity

• Quick learner with the confidence to pick up new systems, processes, and ways of working

• Willingness to occasionally work evenings/weekends as required

Desirable

• Experience contributing to or developing fundraising strategy

What We Offer

Salary & Pension 

The salary range for this role is £42,000 - £48,000 FTE per annum (gross), dependent on experience and pro-rated if you work part-time. If eligible to join the pension scheme, we will match your contributions by 5%.

Annual Leave

You will be entitled to 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part-time roles). We usually close between Christmas and New Year without this time coming off your annual leave allowance.

In addition to the 50+ young people we see every day out our centre, New Horizon’s Outreach service works with young people on the streets and in the community. The team works pan London to deliver a youth-specific outreach service to young people currently or at risk of rough sleeping. We use our extensive housing expertise to place those young people into accommodation that is appropriate and safe, whilst encouraging them to access the day centre to benefit from the wide range of services we offer. This role will involve regualr outreach shifts (early mornings and late evenings) across London aswell as supporting our clients in the day centre and developing a best practice approach to supporting young rough sleepers and the hidden homeless.

Are you a dynamic, collaborative and compassionate individual with a proven track record as a caseworker delivering gender specific and trauma responsive interventions which support resettlement and rehabilitation of female adults in the criminal justice system, whether in the community or in prisons?

If so, St Giles is looking for a Wonder +Link Worker (Female Only) who will be responsible for providing an initial assessment and a time-effective, whole-system support service for women within the Norfolk area who have come into contact with the Criminal Justice System. 

The service users supported by this role will be individuals facing various and multiple disadvantages, including; mental health needs, housing issues, debt, substance misuse, family and relationship issues, individuals who have suffered domestic and sexual abuse, and those at risk of offending or reoffending.  You will be required to tailor the service to meet the needs of the women on your caseload and assist in diverting them away from the Criminal Justice System.

The role will be community-based and client-led and will involve significant partnership working within the local area to enable you to offer a whole system approach to overcoming barriers and empowering the service user to make better life choices.

About the role

CTI is part of a housing-led response to ending homelessness. CTI is an evidence-based model, designed for times of transition for people who require support to navigate often fragmented systems. It uses a time limited case management approach to support people through a period of transition which works towards preventing and ending homelessness.

The model is strictly time limited and prescriptive in its application and Crisis’ CTI pilot will run close to the CTI principles. The timing of movement through the phases is defined by the Programme model.

CTI consists of four main phases:

1. Pre CTI: in which the relationship with the client is developed and their goals and ambitions are identified, (no timescale – could be days, months or years)
2. Transition: providing support & beginning to connect client to people and agencies that will assume the primary role of support and enable them to meet their goals (3 months)
3. Try out: monitoring and strengthening support network and client’s skills (3 months)
4. Transfer of care: terminating CTI and stepping right back (3 months)

The post holder will be working within the framework of CTI, supporting prison leavers from prison into accommodation, thus preventing homelessness on release from custody.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have experience of delivering person centred support with statutory and non-statutory services within the criminal justice system, offering coaching and mentoring, learning support and/or personal development training, ideally working to matrix standards. You will also have an appreciation of delivering this within a time limited framework.

You will demonstrate knowledge of issues affecting homeless or vulnerably housed individuals which could include mental illness, addiction, the benefit system and housing. Being committed to empowering homeless and vulnerably housed individuals is essential to this role.

About the Service

As part of an innovative pilot project, funded by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime, Solace will be providing two specialist workers to support victim/survivors engaged in the perpetrator behaviour change programme as part of a conditional caution. The programme aims to address perpetrators behaviour and increase safety for victim/survivors. In doing so, it is essential that the V/S has holistic support to ensure any risks are identified and managed.

This is a pilot project and it is expected that there will be a considerable amount of testing and learning, trailing new ways of working to meet intended outcomes.

About the Role

You will be working closely in partnership with Police forces in North London, as well as the Hampton Trust, to provide support for victim/survivors engaged in the CARA programme. You will also be supporting Police Officers to discuss eligibility for the programme and conditional cautions. You will be developing and delivering a series of training and learning sessions for the Police. As a new project, you will be developing key partnership relations, to strengthen collaborative working between the Police and Solace. You will provide light touch support to survivors whose partners are engaged with the CARA program, assess risk and share key updates with Hampton Trust and the Police to ensure safety.

About You

We're looking for highly organised and self-motivated applicants who are passionate about ending VAWG. You will have a “can-do‟ approach and demonstrable commitment to Solace’s feminist approach to supporting women and their children to be safer. You will receive training and support for this role as necessary.

Successful applicants will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and children, experience of dynamic risk assessment and providing emotional and practical support to victims of VAWG.  As this is a pilot programme where the delivery model may change, a flexible and adaptive approach to your work is important as well as willingness to contribute to programme evaluation. Part of your time will be spent ensuring that Police colleagues have the information they need to effectively administer conditional cautions so you will work closely with Police, Hampton Trust to develop different training elements, a willingness to develop and deliver this material is essential.

A relevant qualification in VAWG is essential, as well as willingness to undergo Police vetting.

Youth Development Outreach Worker

Oasis Community Hub Hadley encompasses a variety of integrated and diverse community projects which together have a common aim to bring transformation to the whole person and the whole community. 

Oasis Community Hub Hadley is looking to recruit a Youth Development Outreach Worker to join the Oasis Youth Support project at North Middlesex University Hospital. This project offers support to young people who have attended the Emergency Department due to violence in order to promote positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Offering intensive 1:1 support to the young people referred to the project by hospital staff following an attendance at ED due to violence or aggression. Support for the young person can include liaising with parents/carers, safeguarding services and other agencies/networks with the purpose of increasing positive outcomes.

· Being a physical presence in the department, working with key staff within NMUH to ensure all young people who come into ED as a result of a violence or aggression are able to access support where required.

· Planning and delivering sessions focusing around specific areas of violence reduction for young people and professionals.

You could be successful in this role if you: 

· Have a relevant experience working with young people using a Youth Work approach and seen a positive impact from that work

· Are committed and passionate about working with young people who have experienced violence using a young person centred, trauma informed approach.

· Possess excellent oral/written communication and organisational skills.

· Are self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and work to deadlines.

About the Project

Herts Mind Network (HMN) has formed a partnership with Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) to deliver support in the Mental Health Urgent Care Centre (MHUCC) at Lister Hospital.

The MHUCC provides a dedicated space and service for rapid mental health assessment, intervention, and referral, thereby enhancing the quality of care and optimising use of systemwide resources. It provides 24-hour access to specialist mental health assessment aimed at supporting service users to access the least restrictive care and treatment options. It creates a systemwide response to acute mental health crisis that enables people’s needs to be met with the right care at the right time.

About the Role:

The Support, Time and Recovery (STAR) Worker will be based at the Mental Health Urgent Care Centre at Lister Hospital, promoting joint working and creating a seamless pathway into community support for clients recovering from mental ill health.

The STAR workers will work closely with individuals in a mental health crisis currently in the MHUCC, by using a person-centred approach to ensure that everyone is supported with dignity and respect.

You will have a key role with safe and supportive observations and attending to the service users on the unit. You will provide support for carers and liaise with the wider services to support smooth and timely discharge of service users back to the community.

Key Responsibilities

• To provide a consistent presence in the MHUCC for individuals with mental health needs to access for support.
• To advocate for service users, explaining organisations and pathways.
• To provide immediate information and advice about managing wellbeing, reducing risk and onward signposting and referral into wider HMN services and VCFSE organisations.
• To facilitate a clear and easily accessible pathway into the wider Nightlight Crisis Alternative services for individuals, to support timely MHUCC discharge, as an alternative to statutory crisis intervention, or as a supplement to wider care and treatment plans.
• To gather feedback and evaluation on patient experience in the MHUCC
• To develop sound and extensive knowledge of local resources to support in enabling appropriate referrals where necessary.
• To link in with wider Herts Mind Network services and facilitate referrals
• To ensure that a collaborative approach is used, with effective communication links developed with external professional NHS services and to work as an effective member of any multi-disciplinary team. This will require stringent relationships.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

You will support women with multiple and complex needs across Hestia's pan-London refuges, ensuring they have access to therapeutic support that facilitates their recovery. You will provide immediate crisis intervention and create a safe, welcoming environment for women fleeing domestic abuse. You will ensure access to emergency supplies such as clothing and toiletries, apply for relevant grants, and help women maximise their income.

You will work closely with refuge staff, offering additional support and upskilling teams to manage challenging behaviours with resilience and confidence. You will build strong partnerships with external agencies including mental health services, drug and alcohol teams, the DWP, police, housing authorities, social services, and voluntary organisations to safeguard and promote the welfare of service users.

You will maintain relationships with GPs and health professionals to explore treatment options, including social prescribing, and support women in attending appointments. You will coordinate cases across multiple refuge sites, delivering bespoke interventions and high-quality assessments aligned with ‘The Hestia Approach', a trauma-informed framework that prioritises recovery and individual strengths.

You will co-produce Safety Plans and Strengths and Aspirations Plans with women, focusing on their goals and capabilities. You will provide domestic abuse support and risk management through tools such as DASH and MARAC, while ensuring compliance with safeguarding legislation for both children and adults. You will promote a trauma-informed, anti-racist, and intersectional feminist culture, placing women with multiple support needs at the centre of service delivery, and you will work in line with Hestia's values: Respectful, Genuine, Dedicated, Collaborative, and Courageous.

About the role

The UK government’s resettlement programmes (such as UKRS, ARAP as well as other UK Resettlement Schemes) support refugees who are selected and processed in the region of origin and brought to the UK with their status already determined. Under this scheme, a specific quota of refugees will be coming to the UK for resettlement. The Refugee Council has agreed to work in partnership with Migration Yorkshire and Local Authorities across Yorkshire and Humberside to deliver the regional programme.

The Refugee Council resettlement team provides advice and support for resettled refugees to help them adjust to live in the UK, access services and mainstream provision and establish community links. Working with the Resettlement Team Manager and the rest of the team, the Community Development Worker will enable newly arrived refugees to take an active role in their successful resettlement through initiatives involving both the communities of new arrivals and the wider community.
