The objective of the role is to:

• Assist with audio set-up for the commentary station
• Mix levels both on the audio mixer and ATEM Mini to get the best broadcast sound possible both from commentary microphones and venue mics
• Advise on best practices to get the best possible audio for the broadcast
• The ideal candidate will work in our Kingston office setting up microphones, doing sound checks and audio mixing before livestreamsand monitoring and adjusting audio during livestreams.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Experience with USB microphones
•  Experience with multimic setup
• Experience with audio mixing and audio mixing software

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Previous broadcast, live streaming, or podcast recording experience
• Knowledge and experience of OBS and use of ATEM Mini.
• Show professionalism at all levels and in all environments
• Be a strong team player
• Well organized, pro-active, self-starter and able to deliver tasks efficiently.
• Good time-management skills

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK runs over a period of 16 weeks, is UNPAID and requires a minimum of 12 hours commitment per week across Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday.

Upon successful application, our HR team will contact you to arrange an interview. Following a successful interview, we'll initiate the onboarding process by sending you the necessary documents. Once your onboarding and identification documents are received and verified, you'll be invited to a 6-hour HR and System Induction. We’re looking for a Senior Developer / Tech Lead (Volunteer) to guide the build, unblock the team, and help us ship a solid, scalable product. This is a light commitment (2–5 hours per week), but a high-leverage role: you’ll be working closely alongside the founders and our Product Manager.

What you’ll do (2–5 hrs/week)

• Lead engineering direction: keep the build clean, pragmatic, and shippable.

• Review PRs and raise code quality (architecture, security, performance, maintainability).

• Help prioritise technical work with the founders + Product Manager.

• Support and mentor a small volunteer/dev team (light-touch guidance, not heavy management).

• Set up or improve engineering foundations (CI/CD, environments, observability, release process).

• Identify risk early (security, data handling, scalability) and propose solutions.

• Senior-level software engineering experience (ideally with leading small teams or acting as tech lead).

• Comfortable in ambiguous, early-stage environments.

• Solid judgement around security, data handling, and best practices.

• A collaborative communicator who can keep things calm and moving.

Nice to have (not required)

• Experience with marketplaces, payments, identity/verification flows, or credit/voucher systems.

• Experience setting up CI/CD, testing strategy, and deployment pipelines for MERN apps.

• Previous work in startups, charities, civic tech, or social impact.

We our looking to urgently hire a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) intern to join our team in the mission of raising awareness about neurodiversity and be a part of making an impact in the growing movement of neuroacceptance through their contributions. 

The Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) Intern will be well supported by the lead of projects and mentoring and co-founder of the charity and there will be opportunities for CPD in Neuordiversity and Adult Education Theory.

Responsibilities of the Job position

• To attend online training sessions developing your own knowledge in neurodiversity and introduction to adult pedagogy (how adults learn).

• To edit, update and design content for our new Virtual Learning Environment (Google Classroom) for our Neurodiversity Youth Advocate programmes.

• To provide technical “on-call” support both for our staff and students for sessions in the Post-16 Reflective Practice & Advocacy Neurodiversity Youth Advocate Programme on MS Teams.

• To lead and document debriefs for sessions of the Post-16 Reflective Practice & Advocacy Neurodiversity Youth Advocate Programme.

• To develop and deliver a 30-minute Neurodiversity Awareness CPD Presentation for the biannual “Conference Day” training sessions which trains trustees and staff members.

Key responsibilities & objectives of the job:

· To work with the organisation on a remote flexi-time monthly basis to complete tasks (with assistance from our Projects and Mentoring Lead with task delegation and organising) which could include the following:

(i) Training: Attend remote training events on Neurodiversity and/or Adult Education Theory during May, January, & February

(ii) Google Classroom VLE Creation: Complete creation of material for the 2026-27 programme Term 2 & 3 component and 2027 Summer School using material from our old VLE (Moodle) in June, August, March and April.

(iii) Technical “On-Call” Support: Provide technical support for students and staff for sessions in the Post-16 Neurodiversity Youth Advocate Programme in September, October, November, January and February.

(iv) Debrief chairing: Chair and lead debriefs for some of the sessions of the post-16 Neurodiversity Youth Advocate Programme.

(v) Conference Day Presentation Development: In March Develop a 30-minute training presentation on a specific topic in neurodiversity that will be delivered to Trustees, Staff and trainee Neurodiversity Youth Advocates in the charity.

(vi) Conference Day Session Delivery: In April, deliver the presentation developed in March.
