The Opportunity
We are seeking a Programme Officer to join our Work Experience Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, enthusiastic and confident individual to join us in a role which has responsibility for ensuring suitable and safe work experience placements are sourced, managed and available for students. Our Work Experience programme provides a taster of the ‘World of Work’ helping to raise career aspirations and support academic progression. Our team work with local and central London employers and education providers and provide placements for over 5,000 young people each academic year.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- To secure, update and manage work experience placements.
- To handle telephone enquiries about the work experience programme, communicating with teachers, employers, parents and schools.
- To be a key point of contact for schools/educational establishments managing and overseeing the work experience process.
- To produce information and provide support to the Head of Work Experience and other team members.
- Completing one-to-one interviews with students with additional needs to ensure suitable placements are secured.
- Managing placements using a bespoke IT system.

The research communications and engagement team at Breast Cancer Now makes breast cancer research accessible and engaging to everyone. Its aim is to highlight the value and impact of research and build continued trust and support for the charity.

Primary location of role and hybrid working

Vegan Corporate Projects Liaison

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work with the Vice President of Vegan Corporate Projects and the Senior Corporate Projects Manager to develop and manage a strategic plan for PETA's work with companies
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with corporations and institutions, and negotiate to improve/increase their vegan options while reducing/eliminating meat, dairy and eggs
- Work with caterers at major sports arenas in the UK to encourage them to expand and promote their vegan food offering
- Encourage chicken shop takeaways to have vegan chicken options on the menu
- Develop positive ways to reach farmers, farming organisations, and the public, to promote plant-based agriculture
- Ensure consistency and best practices in external communications
- Prepare and deliver presentations to executives
- Initiate and execute projects to encourage the public to try a vegan lifestyle
- Develop and make recommendations for ways to increase media coverage of vegan eating in order to help push it further into the mainstream
- Oversee, organise, participate in, and execute vegan-related awareness events

About the opportunity
As our Digital Marketing Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Marketing Manager and broader team in volunteer and school recruitment efforts, while managing our social media presence. Duties and responsibilities
• Responsibility for managing Action Tutoring’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok and YouTube). At Marylebone we pride ourselves on delivering the highest possible standard of support to our women regardless of their background and vulnerability. In joining the team, you will need to share in our values.
As a Resettlement Worker you will be supporting homeless women to gain the skills needed in order to live independently; our clients are expected to be with us for no more than 2 years and the main route into independent living will be PRS (Private Rented Sector). You will be carrying out a variety of workshops to support the clients to gain the skills needed and use our internal and external partners to help our clients get back into work or education. You will also be supporting the women to understand financial responsibilities, paying rent, bills, council tax and applying for benefits.
You will need to be someone who can work with other people unconditionally, who has an understanding of the challenges of homelessness and can work without judgement. You will need to be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills and able to work well with others. You will be part of a fantastic team, being one of five Resettlement Workers holding a caseload of women, with the focus on resettlement and preparing for independence.
This role is part of a much larger Project, so here you have the opportunity to work alongside and support your colleagues working with our women focusing on reflection, recovery, training, employment at all stages of their journey out of homelessness.

Salary
£33,158 per annum
Hours
Average 40 hours a week on a five-week rota. Normal working pattern will be working across early and late shifts & working 2 weekends out of 5. Working hours and rotas are subject to change by the organisation as required, based on operational/service need, though we try not to do this frequently. Some flexibility in working hours is expected.
Pension
The employee will be enrolled into a pension scheme providing the post holder meets the criteria for eligibility. Minimum pension contributions will be paid by the employer for you if you are eligible.
Annual Leave
28 days per year, inclusive of bank holidays. Rising by 1 day per year of service to a maximum of 33 days, inclusive of bank holidays. As the Project is 24/7, this role will require some weekend and bank holiday working, as per service need.

Occupational Requirement

The Marylebone Project is based over two sites, 100m apart, up to 7 floors, and the job regularly involves walking throughout and between both sites. The postholder must be able to access all areas of the Project, and may be required to do so quickly in the event of an emergency. There is also a requirement to travel across London for work related purposes. The ability to undertake these physical aspects of the role and to carry smaller items are required as essential.

St. John’s church Deptford possesses a unique grade II* listed Binns Organ and a development grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) for its restoration.
The Role
To deliver the Development Phase of the Project to a high standard. You will refine the budget, create the project’s cashflow, revise the project plan and organise procuring of three roles: an Activity Planner, an Evaluator, and a Fundraiser. You will maintain a close overview of the project plan for the Development Phase, compiling NLHF Development Phase final report and evaluation. The role is for a duration of nine months.

We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Engagement and Communications Officer to join our team. Role purpose

IOM UK delivers a range of programming to support migrants, both in the UK and internationally, including projects focusing on diaspora engagement, migration and development, protection, and community cohesion. IOM works to empower migrants and diaspora communities, facilitating their safe navigation of mobility pathways. Simultaneously, we cultivate strategic partnerships that enrich their journeys and amplify their contributions to the societies they are a part of. We collaborate closely with states, partners, and communities to establish innovative, sustainable, and customised mobility solutions, ensuring access to essential services. Our overarching goal is to harness the full spectrum of mobility benefits, enabling individuals and communities to flourish within a well-connected and accessible global landscape. In recent years, there has been a growing recognition of the importance of engaging with diaspora communities as valuable partners for both development and humanitarian initiatives. IOM UK is working to assist the Kenyan diaspora in the UK by reducing the costs associated with sending remittances, thereby maximising the benefits and positive impact of these funds for the community. IOM UK will collaborate with both the sending and receiving communities to identify and address barriers that contribute to high remittance costs. This project will involve engaging with diaspora communities in the UK, as well as working with financial industry stakeholders in the UK and with remittance recipients in Kenya.
This position will support IOM’s work under the direct supervision of the Programme Coordinator and the overall guidance of the Chief of Mission of IOM UK. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating engagement with the Kenyan diaspora in the UK, liaising with relevant stakeholders (such as diaspora organisations and Kenyan decentralised authorities), and implementing project activities on the UK side. Additionally, the role involves liaising with IOM HQ in Geneva for technical expertise and IOM Kenya for overall project implementation.
