Who are we looking for?

Firstly, you will need either a degree-level education or relevant work experience, such as in the health and social care or employment sectors. Hillside Clubhouse is recruiting for a mental health employment specialist to join our dynamic Camden team supporting people with mental health conditions to gain and retain employment.  The role is working within the nationally recognised IPS (Individual Placement and Support) model within an NHS secondary care mental health team based in the heart of Camden.

Who we are: 

Hillside Clubhouse is a co-produced mental health employment support charity working across Camden and Islington. We support people with mental health conditions into training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. People can access our services via our Clubhouse, where they can share their skills and expertise with others and support the running of the charity.  Alternatively, they can receive support out in the community from one of our employment specialists based within primary and secondary care.

The Role: 

The role is within our IPS Service and will be based within a Camden NHS secondary care team. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you’ll play an important role in supporting people with lived mental health experience on their recovery journey by supporting them back into paid employment. This is an opportunity to offer ongoing support, to motivate and provide people with hope, while developing the tools and skills required to recover, ultimately transforming their lives.

A variety of skills are needed in this post including but not limited to -  a strong ability to develop empathy and rapport with clients; a determined approach to seeking out job opportunities; a person centric-approach to working with people; strong communications skills to motivate clients; strong administrative capabilities and an attention to detail engage with prospective employers via business development and face-to-face meetings, and to be able to challenge some perceptions around mental health. 

The postholder will be directly employed by Hillside Clubhouse but work under an Honorary Contract from Camden and Islington Foundation Trust.  They will be managed directly by the IPS Operations Manager but work as team member within the clinical team. The role is dynamic and involves being integrated in a clinical team, working within the community, and we operate a flexible working policy where working from home is also permitted up to two days per week.

Overall aim: 

To enable people with mental health issues to gain and sustain competitive employment by working within the evidence based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.

Primary Duties: 

• Manage a caseload of up to twenty clients and work within and apply the 8 principles of IPS in all aspects of role. 
• To work with and enable clients to find work using a mix of conventional approaches and employer engagement. 
• To generate ongoing referrals from the clinical team and to manage those effectively. 
• To engage directly and collaboratively with the clinical team while maintaining the existing multi-disciplinary approach to assisting clients seeking work. 
• To report and meet regularly with clinical team service managers and the IPS Operations manager, and to participate in both casework and clinical supervision from IPS Operations and clinical team services managers. 
• To be an active member of both the clinical and Hillside teams 
• To be responsible for own management of administrative duties tied to both Hillside Clubhouse and clinical team and adhering to existing Hillside and NHS protocols. 
• Source job opportunities specific to client needs from a range of sources including those advertised via current and conventional means, as well as through contact with local and Pan London employers. 
• To build up a network of employers to secure available and future vacancies.

About the role:

As a Resettlement Worker and Domestic Abuse Specialist, you will work in person and remotely with clients who have support needs, in particular, those who are survivors of domestic abuse. In conjunction with other members of the Partnership, you will support our clients to engage with services and find accommodation solutions. You will work in a person-centered way to get the best prevention, relief and support outcomes for the client.

Main duties:

• To work with clients with support needs, to engage with their prevention, relief or advice goals by; Agreeing with them a support plan to deliver the actions identified in the Personalised Housing Plan. 
• Undertaking specific short term interventions to progress a client’s prevention or relief goals, including providing advice and support to enable individuals to improve their health and wellbeing.

The organisation Working with a very well-established charitable foundation, the organisation comprises of three independent schools and two state-funded academies.

They are the holding company which owns the school land and buildings and manages the endowments valued at c.£50m. The Foundation Office delivers a "head office" type finance function for the Group and a range of other services to the schools, including governance and HR.

Your role The Group Finance Manager will work within a small team and an extended team of around 15-20 finance staff in the schools. The post reports to the Group Finance Director and the finance function are assisted by a part-time Finance Officer. The core part of the role is the production of the
annual report. You will also manage the group cash treasury system, managing 20+ bank accounts.

You will manage significant investments and investment property. You will also maintain an accurate cash flow forecast for the group. Your new company
Working for a world-leading geoscience charity based in Central London. The organisation has a membership following of 12,000, many of whom are Chartered Scientists and Geologists who are experts in their field. The finance team is relatively small and made up of 4 people, therefore an enthusiastic individual who is extremely collaborative and willing to get involved in various areas, would be well suited.

Your new role

• Reporting to the Financial Controller and supporting them in the annual budgeting process, including gathering data from budget holders and leading meetings.
• Providing support for the annual audit process, working to tight deadlines and delivering information to auditors.
• Posting month-end journals, accruals and prepayments. As well as performing bank and control account reconciliations.
• Working with the FC to produce monthly management accounts.
• Identifying and recording VAT accurately.
• Assisting in developing and implementing procedure changes in parallel with the implementation of their new Dynamics 365 CRM system.
• Assisting the FC in the management of fixed-term cash deposits, monitoring investment returns and forecasting cash flow.

What you'll need to succeed

• Intermediate excel skills - pivot tables and v lookups are a must!
• A part-qualified accountant who is highly enthusiastic, energetic and proactive.
• Strong management accounts experience.
• Strong experience with bank reconciliations and double-entry.
• Highly communicative and personable.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fundraising Officer to join a health related charity. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to move into charity sector or an experienced fundraiser who is keen to grow and develop their experience and expertise across multiple areas of fundraising.

• The role will be split between Community fundraising and major donor (50:50)
• As a Fundraising Officer you  will provide general team administration and process support for fundraising; support with Major Gifts thanking, stewardship and recognition.
• You will provide community fundraising support through increased charity visibility across charity hospital sites and implement of new planned workstreams.

In order to be successful, you must have experienced :

• An intuitive, self-starting attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• The ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple work streams and prioritise tasks A good eye for detail and previous experience with administration
• Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
• Ability to collaborate with other teams and departments to maximise results
• Positive personal impact and credibility, with the ability to network and build relationships with people at all levels both internally and externally
• Confident ability to engage with members of public and hospital staff about the work of Charity
• Experience of working in an office environment
• Experience of working in customer- or client-facing role (not essential)
• Experience of working in fundraising for a charitable organisation (not essential)
• Experience in utilising a database to input and extract information (not essential)
• Excellent use of Powerpoint, Excel and Microsoft Word

Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 (dependant on experience)

Location: London Borough of Camden. Hybrid working considered for the right candidate.  

As Generalist Advisor (Welfare Benefits), you will work in a holistic way, managing and holding complex cases and advocating for clients across statutory services, specialist advice partners and community organisations.

The successful candidate will have 2 years' recent experience in a welfare rights advice role and up to date knowledge of welfare benefits especially relating to Disabled adults and young Disabled people and their families. You will also need a basic understanding of housing, social care and independent living issues as they impact on Disabled people and a willingness to seek further training in this area.
