We are looking for a Financial Analyst to play a key role in the finance and broader management team of our ancient and innovative Christian charity, which has a chapel and a pattern of prayer at its heart.

This is a new role established to support our Finance Director and provide analysis of results and performance to support the Commercial Director, managers and trustees in their decision-making processes.

As a Disability Adviser, you will establish, deliver and monitor high quality, expert advice and support for postgraduate taught and research students with disabilities, including mental health and general health conditions. Your work will be centred on assessing the needs of their incoming student cohort, proactively liaising with colleagues across the College to anticipate reasonable adjustments and implement support opportunities, supporting funding applications via 1:1 and group appointments, and updating web pages and social media information.

To be considered for this role you will, have knowledge and understanding of student disability issues including an up-to-date understanding of the Equality Act and other relevant legislation and frameworks, specifically, the College's responsibilities within these areas. You will also have the ability to communicate effectively with wide range of people, including in challenging situations, for example, working with people with complex and sensitive conditions, as well as strong networking skills to work sensitively with individuals and teams to ensure the best possible support for student. Experience working in a Higher Education setting is desirable, however not essential.

This a front-line role, delivering a family support service in person in Lambeth. The successful candidate will be based  in our offices in Lambeth.  Much of the work will involve outreach and delivery in Early Years settings, child development centres and nurseries throughout Lambeth. • Experience of working with and supporting families who have disabled children, and in particular, working with families who have disabled children aged 0-2 years
• Good communication responsive to the needs of families of very young children who may be facing uncertainty and challenges at the beginning of understanding their child’s additional needs
• Good organisational and administrative skills
• Knowledge and experience of the issues and concerns that affect families who have disabled children e.g. leisure provision, education, respite care.
• Knowledge of issues relating to maximising income, tackling debt and budgeting, accessing financial support, tax credits and other financial issues.

In the role the key responsibilities will include will work closely with the IRIS Clinical Lead and provide in-house training for general practice teams on understanding, recognising, and responding to domestic violence and abuse (DVA). You will also be responsible for providing individual and needs led DVA advocacy and support to female patients who have been referred by IRIS trained practices and provide onward referrals as needed. 

This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.  

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.
