Pathway specialist - Property (Tutor)

Do you have a conveyancing legal background with an interest in Tutoring students?

We have a permanent opportunity for a conveyancing legal professional to join a Law School on a permanent basis, for 2-3 days a week (across Mon - Thurs). This role is fully remote as learners are online, but there would be a requirement to attend in-person meetings in Bedford, up to 6 times per year.

Key duties:

• Manage caseload of learners: onboard, assess skills, and create development plans.
• Deliver group and 1:1 teaching sessions at all levels in designated areas of specialism via webinar, checking and supporting learning and the practical application of skills
• Assessing learners' formative work according to mark schemes, providing detailed feedback on all areas of strength and identifying areas for development
• Supporting learners by conference call, email or online forum
• Ensure learner safety and well-being, report any concerns.
• Monitor learner engagement and progress, raise concerns as needed.
• Conduct progress reviews, set objectives, and adapt plans accordingly.
• Assist learners with assessments and provide additional support when necessary.
• Provide feedback on learner experience and contribute to quality improvement.
• Participate in standardisation processes and staff development.

Essential experience:

• CILEX graduate/Law degree or equivalent.
• Significant experience in designated practice area (property).

Hillside Clubhouse is recruiting for a mental health employment specialist to join our dynamic Camden team supporting people with mental health conditions to gain and retain employment.  The role is working within the nationally recognised IPS (Individual Placement and Support) model within an NHS secondary care mental health team based in the heart of Camden.

Hillside Clubhouse is a co-produced mental health employment support charity working across Camden and Islington. We support people with mental health conditions into training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. People can access our services via our Clubhouse, where they can share their skills and expertise with others and support the running of the charity.  Alternatively, they can receive support out in the community from one of our employment specialists based within primary and secondary care.

The Role: 

The role is within our IPS Service and will be based within a Camden NHS secondary care team. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you’ll play an important role in supporting people with lived mental health experience on their recovery journey by supporting them back into paid employment. This is an opportunity to offer ongoing support, to motivate and provide people with hope, while developing the tools and skills required to recover, ultimately transforming their lives.

A variety of skills are needed in this post including but not limited to -  a strong ability to develop empathy and rapport with clients; a determined approach to seeking out job opportunities; a person centric-approach to working with people; strong communications skills to motivate clients; strong administrative capabilities and an attention to detail engage with prospective employers via business development and face-to-face meetings, and to be able to challenge some perceptions around mental health. 

The postholder will be directly employed by Hillside Clubhouse but work under an Honorary Contract from Camden and Islington Foundation Trust.  They will be managed directly by the IPS Operations Manager but work as team member within the clinical team. The role is dynamic and involves being integrated in a clinical team, working within the community, and we operate a flexible working policy where working from home is also permitted up to two days per week.

Overall aim: 

To enable people with mental health issues to gain and sustain competitive employment by working within the evidence based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.

Primary Duties: 

• Manage a caseload of up to twenty clients and work within and apply the 8 principles of IPS in all aspects of role. 
• To work with and enable clients to find work using a mix of conventional approaches and employer engagement. 
• To generate ongoing referrals from the clinical team and to manage those effectively. 
• To engage directly and collaboratively with the clinical team while maintaining the existing multi-disciplinary approach to assisting clients seeking work. 
• To report and meet regularly with clinical team service managers and the IPS Operations manager, and to participate in both casework and clinical supervision from IPS Operations and clinical team services managers. 
• To be an active member of both the clinical and Hillside teams

About the role:

As a Resettlement Worker and Domestic Abuse Specialist, you will work in person and remotely with clients who have support needs, in particular, those who are survivors of domestic abuse.  A leading children's charity is searching for a Community Fundraising Manager to cover Yorkshire region. As the Community Fundraising Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering a fundraising budget to support the charity's work, increasing the charity's profile, and identifying new opportunities to recruit and onboard new volunteers and fundraising groups.

To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record of developing relationships to achieve results within fundraising or income-generating environments, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and manage relationships with individuals and organisations.

Corporate Partnership Manager
Salary: £45,000 -£51,000 dependent on experience
Job Type: Permanent

Your new role
The Corporate Fundraising Manager role is instrumental in driving the charities' mission forward by creating, managing and expanding their portfolio of corporate partnerships. The main responsibility is to produce business proposals using knowledge of fundraising strategies, donor development and grant writing. Other duties include:

• Research, approach and secure new corporate partnerships
• Fostering strategic relationships with corporate sponsors and donors
• Create and present compelling business proposals and pitches that are tailored to stakeholders to secure funding
• Evaluate the progress of fundraising campaigns, reporting key metrics to stakeholders
• Clearly communicate fundraising goals to stakeholders and corporate partners
• Act as an ambassador for the organisation, representing the charity at external events and other networking opportunities
• Undertake public speaking engagements and present to potential donors/ partners
• Maximise fundraising opportunities by collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to maximise income.

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fundraising sales or income generation role.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organisational and project management skills
