This delivers against the NHS’s vision for mental health care and support through more local, community mental health services and how community services should offer whole-person, whole-population health approaches.
Job Purpose
To provide strategic and operational leadership for the Bexley Mental Health Hub, which is an integrated service between Mind in Bexley, Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and London Borough of Bexley Adult Social Care . The postholder will play a key role in supporting three partners to deliver an integrated service, ensuring alignment, coordination, and high standards across both organisations. They will work closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialist and other senior leads to ensure service delivery is safe, effective, and responsive to community needs.
This position requires the ability to deliver results at pace, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership. The postholder will manage a team of clinical and non-clinical staff, ensuring performance, professional development, and wellbeing are prioritised. They will promote continuous improvement, foster collaboration, and oversee scheduling, facilities management, compliance, and adherence to regulations. Progress will be reported through personal representation at key stakeholder meetings. A strong commitment to ensuring the service meets the needs of Bexley residents is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic and Operational Leadership
- Lead the day-to-day operational delivery and continuous development of the Bexley Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub, ensuring services are high quality, efficient, and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Provide operational oversight across Oxleas and Mind in Bexley, ensuring integrated pathways and a seamless service user experience.
- Play a key role in supporting two integrated services, promoting effective joint working and service alignment.
- Work closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialist to align clinical leadership with operational priorities and ensure consistent care standards.
- Oversee scheduling of services and resources to ensure timely, effective support across the system.
- Develop links with local community organisations to support delivery of services in these communities

- Support Clinical Lead with aspects of quality assurance, governance, and risk across both services, embedding safe and robust practices.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety,, clinical governance, and data protection regulations.
- In partnership with Adult Social Care and Oxleas ensure appropriate safeguarding process are in place and followed

About the role:
The role is home working, however the team collectively cover England and Wales, so the ability to travel with occasional overnight stays is vital.

This is a new role within the Bereavement Support Service proactively engaging bereaved families with the support service, respond to bereavement support digital enquiries, working in a team to deliver and ensure anyone seeking advice and support on bereavement is given a high-quality service in a timely way.
The aim of this post is to provide consistent, high-quality emotional support via digital channels to bereaved families who seek support from the Lullaby Trust.
Main duties and responsibilities
1. Proactively engage bereaved families with the support service, respond to bereavement support digital enquiries, working in a team to deliver and ensure anyone seeking advice and support on bereavement is given a high-quality service in a timely way.
· Assist with the setting up of new digital channels to be used by the Lullaby Trust to answer and respond to bereaved families.
· To be the primary contact for the bereavement support digital services including WhatsApp, text, webchat and other social media channels.
· Proactively engage with bereaved families through social media and other online platforms.
· Ensure any safeguarding concerns are actioned in accordance with the organisations Safeguarding policy.
· Send materials to bereaved contacts, including bereavement packs and follow up emails and ensure all documents and databases are updated with each contact in line with the department guidelines, including Raiser’s Edge, Excel databases.
· Cover and answer the bereavement support helpline and online enquiries responding within the set guidelines and KPIs for the department.
· Ensure any messages on Bereavement Support Facebook Groups are monitored and advice is given via befrienders where appropriate.

· Work with Income and Engagement Team around social media bereavement support content/posts.
2. Deliver and run live bereavement themed sessions on social media
· Run monthly live sessions on social media on bereavement topics/themes, responding to comments and messages during and after the sessions, ensuring anyone seeking ongoing support is responded to and referred to relevant services .
· Work with the Engagement Team to promote live session.
· Facilitate monthly remembrance sessions.
3. Ensure the bereavement support services are promoted to those bereaved and to professionals working with bereaved families

· Keep up to date with the bereavement support world including joining National Bereavement Alliance, Child Bereavement Network and research around grief and bereavement.

Survivors are often in the immediate aftermath of a crisis, such as physical assault, drug/alcohol medical need, attempted suicide or self-harm and the HIDVA will work with hospital staff to provide high quality support focussing on a strengths based, needs led approach. The HIDVA will offer initial advice and crisis safety planning to the survivor, carry out assessments of needs and risks. They will also advise on criminal justice, civil remedies, housing and any other relevant matters.
We provide a visible and proactive presence in the hospitals and work in partnership with hospital staff to identify, contact and support survivors. The HIDVA team attend safeguarding meetings, ward/nurse handover meetings, deliver training and provide advice and support to staff around domestic abuse.
We offer an out of hours service (Friday evenings and weekend days) at William Harvey Hospital and Darent Valley Hospital on an alternating basis. The post holder will be expected to participate in an out of hours rota, working on average one weekend in four.
The Hospital IDVA will be based part-time in the William Harvey Hospital and part-time in Darent Valley hospital. There is also flexibility to work from the Rising Sun main office from time to time to attend team meetings, supervision and training.
We are looking for someone with an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children, who has supported survivors with varying experiences and needs. You will be supported by our Head of Adult Services and HIDVA Manager and receive training and an induction into both the hospital work and Rising Sun’s wider services. If unqualified, we will support you to complete a formal domestic abuse qualification on passing your probation.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support to Survivors
- Be present in the hospitals daily to respond to referrals or requests for domestic abuse advice and to meet with survivors.
- Ensure that survivors are aware of their rights and options and explain the effectiveness of criminal and civil sanctions available to them.
- Produce safety plans with the client, enabling them to assess and manage their own safety.
- Carry out needs assessments, including DASH (Domestic Abuse, Stalking and Honour Based Violence) risk assessment, to effectively deliver holistic, survivor centred support.
- Work in partnership with hospital staff, safeguarding departments and other services e.g. the police, housing, social services, mental health (amongst others) to advocate for survivors and complete referrals to ongoing support services where appropriate.
- Attend Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) meetings and refer service users to MARAC when appropriate.
- Assist clients in gaining access to solicitors, benefits agencies, housing departments, education, medical treatment, counselling, support networks, community groups, employment support etc.
- Recognise, respect and address the needs of survivors who face particular barriers when seeking access to services, including those from minority groups or with protected characteristics
- Safeguard the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk; working within safeguarding policies, Child Protection Procedures and local procedures for safeguarding adults at risk.
- Maintain accurate client records, outcome and monitoring data. Prepare information or reports for the monitoring and evaluation of the service.
- Complete daily ward rounds to raise awareness and identify any potential DA support needs for staff or patients.

Partnership Working and Training
- Promote the HIDVA service in the hospitals and build positive relationships with hospital staff, in particular safeguarding teams and clinicians.
- Attend safeguarding, mental health and frequent attenders meetings to screen patients for potential domestic abuse and provide advice to staff. Together with any other helpful meetings that may arise.
- Deliver training to staff in various health settings across Kent to raise awareness of domestic abuse, safe enquiry and appropriate responding.

About the Role
Responsibilities of the role comprise:
Campaign planning
- Lead the delivery of an ambitious and creative media and campaign strategy to bring about an improved recognition of the value and impact of youth work.
- Lead on other campaign strategy and planning, utilising a range of campaign tactics integrating media, digital media and other campaign tactics, working closely with other members of the Comms team and across Directorates.
- Oversee campaign activity for the annual Youth Work Week, to ensure the campaign engages key opinion formers and provides an opportunity for those within the sector to celebrate the impactful work they do.
- Analyse campaign effectiveness, including setting and tracking metrics across digital and traditional media.
- Ensure campaign plans are fully scoped and uploaded to the online project management system.
- Leading on strategic approaches to celebrity supporters / ambassadors and ongoing relationship management.
Press Office function
- Lead proactive media monitoring, enabling timely responses to significant developments and tracking positions on issues relating to NYA’s work.
- Develop key messages and positioning statements on issues in the youth sector and NYA’s activities, role and stance and promote consistency of messaging across NYA’s channels.
- Managing and responding to reactive media enquiries, providing statement and reactive ‘lines to take’, with the support of the Head of Communications
- Producing engaging content for various channels and audiences including press releases, blogs, opinion pieces and media briefings to elevate NYA’s profile and demonstrate our expertise and thought leadership.
- Managing the media monitoring and media database, nurturing relationships with target journalists, as well as online news outlets and thought leaders on key strategic issues.
- Confidently working with charity and corporate partners to maximise opportunities to demonstrate the impact of their support.
- Provide line management and development support to two Communication Officers.
About You
Essential competencies of the Campaigns and Media Manager:
- A self-starter brimming with creative ideas and proven experience of designing and executing high-impact campaigns that bring about a measurable change in knowledge, behaviour and / or policy.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders, including political audiences, and confident in growing new relationships and leading meetings.
- An ability to grasp complex information and distil key messages for different audiences and crucially, which tactics and channels to use to engage them
- Have proven experience and a strong understanding of the UK media landscape, with demonstrable experience of having nurtured relationships with national and sector journalists to garner high-quality coverage.
- An understanding of how to use research and intelligence gained from listening exercises and other stakeholder insights to inform campaign messaging and metrics.
- Be skilled in developing media strategics and developing case studies and using data to create compelling new hooks
- Be proficient in evaluating campaigns and media outputs, with the ability to derive insights that inform future strategies.
- Be proficient in drafting statements and media responses at speed and in line with key messages.
- Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce and edit content to a journalistic standard across diverse audiences and channels.
- Have an understanding of how to use social media platforms to engage audiences effectively, understanding their role in broader campaign strategies.
- Be experienced in line management and fostering the NYA culture of personal growth
- Excellent project management skills - able to keep track of all the moving parts to keep tasks on track and mitigate risks. Experience of using project management platform (or similar) would be an advantage.
- An understanding of data protection and safeguarding young people.
- A passion for using effective communications to promote youth work and celebrate the achievements of young people and youth workers.
- Highly competent in all Microsoft suite and ideally have experience of Google Drive and Sharepoint.

This year, Brake celebrates 30 years of life-changing work, and we’re looking for a committed and compassionate Caseworker to help us continue making an impact. If you are based in the North Yorkshire region and want to help people at their most vulnerable moments, this could be the role for you.
Every 20 minutes, someone is killed or seriously injured on UK roads. For families affected, the emotional and practical challenges are immense. As a Caseworker, you will provide direct, trauma-informed care to individuals and families suffering from the sudden bereavement or life-altering injury of a loved one. Working mostly remotely, with home visits to service users, you’ll offer vital emotional and practical support—including helping them access therapeutic resources, financial assistance, and guidance through the complexities of medical and legal processes.
This role is flexible, allowing you to structure your own working pattern within weekdays from 8AM to 6PM. While travel is required, you’ll have control over your diary. The work is challenging but immensely rewarding, requiring resilience, empathy, and a dedication to making a real difference in people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing direct support to road victims and their families in the North Yorkshire region, following Brake’s trauma-informed model of care.
- Managing a caseload of service users, ensuring their emotional, practical, and advocacy needs are met.
- Undertaking comprehensive needs assessments and creating individualised support plans
- Offering emotional and practical support—this can include helping families access therapeutic resources, financial aid, or even facilitating keepsakes to honour the memory of their loved ones
- Liaising with professionals, including police officers, Family Liaison Officers, mental health services, coroners, GPs, and other support organisations.
- Advocating for victims within medical, legal, and social services to ensure their voices are heard.
- Providing support through multiple channels, including in-person, remote calls, video chats, and messaging, depending on service user preferences.
- Completing safeguarding assessments and escalating concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead when needed.
- Maintaining accurate case records in compliance with data protection policies.
- Engaging in external clinical supervision to manage personal resilience and well-being.
- Participating in team meetings, training, and professional development to ensure the highest standard of service delivery.
What We Offer
- £26,000 per year (initial one-year contract, with funding in place and potential to extend).

Who We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- A full, clean UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Resident in the North Yorkshire area.
- Experience in frontline support services, preferably involving sudden bereavement or heightened vulnerabilities.
- Experience supporting 16-18 year olds.
- Strong advocacy and research skills to liaise with multiple organisations on behalf of service users.
- Competency in I.T skills to work remotely.
Desirable Experience:
· Comprehensive understanding of the processes involved in the criminal justice system and coronial process
