UK hybrid working – at least 40 % of working time is spent face-to-face (London office, external meetings or travel).

The 40% equates to 2 days per week for a full-time employee, one of those days must be a Thursday when the entire UK People Team are office based.

About the team

The UK People Team play a critical role in helping WaterAid realise its goals. We lead on the development, deployment and application of strategies, policies and guidance that ensure that WaterAiders are aligned and engaged, and that they have the skills and opportunities to maximise the impact they can make to our mission.  A small, impactful team, at the forefront of our delivery is the service we give to the organisation and central to that is our employee experience to support WaterAiders and the maintenance of a high-performing environment. 

About the role

A key leadership position in the UK, responsible for leading a dynamic and talented team who delivers the highest standards of operational support to WaterAiders in country. The role will need to plan, prioritise, and deliver to a high standard what we promise in order to deliver our ambitious mission.

Responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of UK payroll, pension, and the annual reward process. You will support and coach your team for the development, review and application of UK policies and procedures and be a key stakeholder to our people system Administrator.

You will be working in a matrix environment across the UK People Team and the wider People and Organisational Development function.

In this role, you will:

Team Leadership

• Manage, coach and build the capabilities of the People Support Team, their performance and development in line with our values and people promise.
• Expertise and ownership of UK People Team policies, processes and procedures, ensuring that they meet legislative requirements, are fit for purpose and in line with best practice and organisational priorities under the umbrella of our employee value proposition.
• Lead the delivery of the programme of work so that service standards at met, solutions are pragmatic and driven by our values, minimising risk.

Payroll, Pension and Reward

• Accountable for the delivery of the UK monthly payroll and pension processes, providing oversight and support to the work of the in-house Payroll Officer and being a back-up to their role, to ensure payroll is run accurately each month.
• Implement the annual pay award operationally ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of payment to all UK based staff.
• Implementation of a new payroll system for the UK.

Systems and Reporting

• Primary super user in the UK of HR Information System, PeoplePlace, ensuring effective and efficient use of the system. Responsible that the country's employee data is correct and in compliance with data protection.
• Drive the importance of data and people analytics and create a culture of data-based decision-making and insight across the team.
• Ownership of maintaining the monthly UK headcount establishment data with key stakeholders in Finance.
• Annual analysis and statutory reporting of the Pay Gap in the UK.

Compliance and Contract Management

• Act as the UK Team specialist on areas of HR compliance, working with 3rd parties and specialist advisors, to ensure that our policies, processes and practices are compliant and meet legal requirements.
• Responsible for data protection in the People Team, provide senior expertise and build capability across the wider people function.

Other

• Ownership of salary calculations in the event of employee termination and/or redundancy.
• Monthly payroll and pension sign off.
• Budget management and invoice approval.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

Functional skills

• Proven experience in leading, managing and developing a high-performing people operations team in a matrix, fast-paced organisation.
• Proven experience in managing and running in-house payroll for at least 250 staff or more.
• Excellent understanding of HR policy development; and proven experience in developing and embedding HR policies, processes and procedures that are fit for purpose.
• A qualified and robust HR Practitioner who has sound and up-to-date knowledge of employment law, tax and legislative requirements affecting a wide spectrum of HR policies and practice, i.e. payroll, pension, reward and benefits, together with their application in the context of the employee experience.
• Working knowledge and experience of HR and Payroll systems, to maximise the functionality and create efficiencies.
• Demonstrate project management capability.
• Proven experience in contract management and managing a wide range of third-party service providers.

Personal qualities

• A self-starter who is focused on delivery and execution: proactive in bringing solutions and recommendations to resolve problems and continuously improve HR practices.
• Able to navigate uncertainty and ambiguity: comfortable working at pace. Resilient and able to work under pressure.

Desirable capabilities

• Degree-level education or equivalent.
• Associate (or higher) membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or equivalent work experience.
• An interest in and/or knowledge of development issues and the work of INGOs.

We are looking to welcome an experienced IDVA to our friendly and energetic team to support women experiencing domestic abuse. If you are ready to empower women to move forward with your lives, we would love to hear from you.

You will be providing trauma-informed, specialist support for women with complex needs through risk assessments, safety planning, individual advice sessions and advocacy in court and with other statutory services.

Duties:

To provide advice and advocacy for women experiencing domestic abuse by offering crisis intervention, information and support for those who have been referred via MARAC due to domestic or sexual abuse or violence or any other recognised intimate violence against women and girls.

To devise emergency safety plans for survivors, liaising with social services, the Housing Inclusion and Support Team, other VCSE organisations and refuges to secure emergency housing if needed.

To provide targeted support where women have mental health, substance misuse, complex needs or face other challenges. Where needed, refer to appropriate support services if the survivor has support needs or requires a specialist service, e.g. male survivor to Respect or GALOP, frail older people to Adult Social Services.

To carry out risk assessments of women for referrals to MARAC where applicable

To develop effective links and partnerships with police and the courts and provide information, advice and support to survivors going through the legal process, explaining the effectiveness of criminal and civil sanctions available.

To comply with safeguarding requirements relating to children and vulnerable adults and explain the safeguarding requirements to the survivor.

Maintain and update accurate written and computer records of all cases and share a summary of this information with managers, ensuring that data protection (GDPR) regulations are followed, (within the organisation as well as when communicating with partner organisations).

To maintain contact with the survivor at regular (timely) intervals to provide support and ensure her safety, including updates of the risk assessment and safety plan.

To respond within the bounds of confidentiality (GDPR), to requests from other agencies for consultations or facilitate direct contact between agencies and service users.

To participate in multi-agency workings parties and focus groups, when requested to do so by the Director or your manager.

The Early Intervention Coordinator is a key role within the School Based Needs Service, working as part of the borough and district-based community teams, comprised of NHS staff and third sector workforce under the umbrella of The Surrey Wellbeing Partnership. This team will build support around schools offering a wide menu of services across a cluster of schools based on borough/district boundaries.

The role of the EIC is to deliver and support children and young people through one- to- one direct work, small group sessions and signposting to specialist services. These interventions will be delivered across a network of secondary schools in the Runnymede, Surrey Heath and Waverley areas.

Responsibilities 

1. Design, deliver and review evidence-based interventions for children and young people which aim to improve mental health and well-being and build on existing strengths

• Assess the needs and strengths of the referred young person and help them identify individual goals to achieve desired change (Goal Based Outcome Assessments).

• Manage own caseload of children and young people facing a wide range of issues, in both one to one and group settings, to address emerging needs and help build resilience, develop coping strategies and improve their mental health & wellbeing.

• Provide advice, guidance and signposting to young people and their families, that will connect them to resources that will support young people’s wellbeing.

• To operate at all times from an inclusive values base, which recognises and respects diversity and ensures all work is sensitive to a range of ethnic, cultural and religious groups, is gender sensitive and anti-discriminatory.

2. Develop and maintain relationships with key school staff in secondary schools and Schools Based Needs Team

• Work in close partnership and collaboratively with pastoral staff in school, Surrey Wellbeing Partners, Surrey and Borders NHS Partnership, Surrey Children’s Services, local Mental Health Support Teams and other community-based services to provide the most effective service for children, young people and families.

• Ensure that children and young people with more intensive support needs are put in touch with relevant Intensive Intervention services (whilst continuing to provide support until the intensive support is in place).

3. Impact, Monitoring Evaluation and Reporting

• Accurately record individual engagement and evidence of change using appropriate outcomes data to ensure support programmes can be accurately monitored and evaluated. 

• To collect and share case studies that demonstrate good practice and the impact of interventions on outcomes for children and young people.

• Work with colleagues and line manager to ensure that your work is aligned to organisational strategy, key objectives and annual plans and budgets.

4. Personal Development/Other Duties 

• Keep up to date with good practice, legislation and policies that have an impact on service delivery at Eikon

• Work within Eikon’s internal policies, safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection regulations

• Work as part of a team to lead and inspire collaboration across Eikon

• Attend training as discussed and agreed between yourself and line manager

Job Title: Service Manager

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Service Manager to lead on the delivery of high-quality services to the women and their children living in our refuges and survivors of domestic abuse supported by our community outreach service.

We are recruiting for Service Manager who is passionate about supporting survivors who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.  This is a multifaceted, fast paced, and exciting role where you will join our team in Derby to lead on the delivery and development of high-quality refuge and outreach services for survivors of domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.

Our service provision in Derby includes culturally specific service for South Asian women as well as a specialist multiple disadvantage support worker who support survivors facing enhanced needs.

The post holder will provide line management and support to the accommodation based and the outreach service staff. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. You will also ensure that all service users in refuges and the outreach service always receive a high-quality support service in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures.

The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors.

Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting.  In addition, you must have an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other gender-based violence and its impact on survivors.  

You will have knowledge of relevant criminal and civil law legislation, as well as Housing and Health and Safety legislation.   

As member of the management team, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call management service.

The service manager will be responsible for ensuring that contractual and other funding requirements are met fully, this includes ensuring that the services operate within the allocated budget and that Refuge’s high-quality standards are maintained. The role may involve visiting potential sites and contributing to the establishment of new services in conjunction with the development team.

The job involves working closely with staff that support survivors and their children who are experiencing domestic abuse and other gender-based violence.

· Develop and implement a clear, outcome-focused leadership and management development offering for aspiring leaders to senior management.

· Design and deliver leadership and management training (and wider support/interventions) across Family Action.

· Embed a blended learning approach, including the curation of workshops, e-learning, coaching, mentoring, and other management learning resources.

· Actively support the implementation of the wider Learning and Development strategy and the continuous development of a strong organisational learning culture.

· CIPD Learning & Development level 5 or above (or equivalent significant experience/training/qualification)

· Good experience in a specialist Learning & Development role at Officer/Advisor level or higher

· Demonstrates strong knowledge and understanding of leadership and management development as a subject matter expert

· Expertise in instructional design, including needs analysis, learning objectives, curriculum development, and assessment strategies.

· Ability to develop blended learning solutions, incorporating digital tools, e-learning, and experiential learning methods.

SLRA is a well-established local migrant support organisation working with and for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who are at risk or in crisis as a result of immigration issues. We provide specialist immigration advice (SLRA is regulated to provide advice at IAA Level 3) as well as a broad range of practical, social and therapeutic support services. We are looking for a Senior Immigration Advisor or Solicitor who will be responsible for the delivery of immigration advice and casework to service users in a wide range of circumstances, although most will be rough sleepers. • Use our fundraising CRM to accurately record stewardship and maintain GDPR compliance.

About Trade

Trade Sexual Health (Trade for short) is a small health and wellbeing charity based in Leicester. We currently have eight staff and more than 40 volunteers.

Trade began as a grassroots gay community response to HIV in Leicester in the late 1980s. Throughout the 1990s, Trade worked creatively to spread information about sexual health and HIV prevention to gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men in the city (GBMSM).

Trade has been a registered charity since 2000. Over the last 25 years, our core work has focused on improving the sexual health of gay and bisexual men across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland. We have always taken a holistic approach to understanding and addressing the range of issues that might impact gay and bisexual men’s ability to look after their sexual health. As a result, we started a counselling service – Approach Counselling – to support community members in improving their mental wellbeing.

We now draw on this experience to tackle wider health inequalities related to sexual health and HIV, and to provide peer support for anyone living with HIV in the areas where we work. For a small charity, Trade has always ‘punched above its weight’ and we have a national profile for the innovative sexual health work we do.

We currently hold contracts to deliver sexual health promotion and HIV prevention outreach in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland to LGBTQ+ people, asylum seekers, and a range of racialised communities that experience significant inequalities in relation to their sexual health.

We have a history of providing peer support to people living with HIV, and this is now becoming a growing strand of our work. This post is central to the delivery of HIV Peer Support in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland (and builds on our experience of delivering similar services in Northamptonshire).

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver first-line peer support to people living with HIV, of all genders and backgrounds, in Leicestershire. The postholder will be based at the Trade offices in central Leicester and will work closely with clinical staff at the Jarvis Clinic at Leicester Royal Infirmary. They will ensure that people who have been recently diagnosed, are struggling with their diagnosis, or are re-engaging with HIV care feel supported and have the information they need to live well and thrive with HIV.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT), bringing personal knowledge and experience to the role.
• Collaborate with a small group of volunteer peer mentors to support people living with HIV.
• Assist in recruiting new volunteers and ensure patients needing ongoing peer mentoring are matched with suitable mentors.
• Support individuals in developing self-management strategies, addressing stigma, reducing social isolation, and improving wellbeing.
• Develop a catalogue of services, groups, and support options for signposting.
• Encourage engagement with HIV treatment and care, improving ART adherence and promoting viral suppression.

Job Activities

• Triage new patients to identify specific support needs.
• Coordinate appointments between mentors and mentees.
• Refer or signpost individuals to specialist services (e.g. mental health, housing, benefits, immigration).
• Support the British HIV Association Standards of Care and National Standards in HIV Peer Support.
• Contribute to innovative approaches to peer support delivery.

• Assist in compiling quarterly monitoring reports for Leicester Public Health.

• Primarily based at Trade offices, with regular visits to the HIV clinic.

You will be responsible for:

- Building high value partnerships with High Net Worth individuals.

- Developing and introducing innovative corporate fundraising initiatives.

- Working with the Community and Events Manager to secure sponsorship and team participation for our flagship Golf Day and other events.
