The Service:

The service facilitates peer support and delivery of monthly workshops and drop- ins. The service will provide first-class, person-centred information, advice and guidance to people with learning disabilities through both one-to-one and group support.

The Role:

You will provide relevant and accurate information, support, guidance and signposting including both one-to-one and group support for people with complex issues. Support will be flexibly based operating out of a central Bromley office but delivered at various venues across the borough. You will act in a key working capacity where necessary, ensuring services are joined up and holistic, provide advocacy and attend case management meetings as required.

About the role:

The post holder will work within The Passage’s Community Services as a Complex Case Outreach Worker and will lead on case management for people experiencing homelessness who are presenting in the footprints in which the team operate and/or who are accessing the Resource Centre. The post-holder will support individuals with substance use support needs and/or mental health issues and will lead on work with clients who are experiencing alcohol and/or drug dependencies and who may also be experiencing mental health problems or other health or social care needs.

Main duties:

• To manage a caseload of clients presenting within the footprints in which the Engagement & Outreach service operate and individuals who are accessing The Passage Resource Centre. To support clients with complex needs, supporting them to identify and work towards recovery and away from homelessness.
• Carry out assessments, case management, support planning and the delivery of interventions for clients including those experiencing mental health and/or substance misuse issues who are multiply-disadvantaged in their homelessness.
• Provide assertive outreach and engagement with street-based service users presenting with complex needs and barriers to engagement. Carry out monthly street-based audits to inform reporting and analysis of service outcomes.
• Support clients who are rough sleeping or involved in day time activity in the footprints in which the team operate to end their homelessness by linking them in with appropriate internal and external support services relevant to their needs. To provide support to clients who are accommodated, but may require ongoing support in order to maintain this accommodation, linking them in to appropriate local services.

General responsibilities:

• In conjunction with your line manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
• To participate in internal/external meetings as required, attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.
• To participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal, and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.
• To ensure that all The Passage policies and procedures are being adhered to, particularly those relating to Code of Practice and Confidentiality.

Desired experience:

• Significant experience of delivering support services to socially excluded clients in a street based/day centre or similar setting.

The role of the Mental Health Information and Advice Officer will be to provide advice, guidance and customer representation to tri-borough residents living with Mental Health difficulties. The successful candidate will deliver support to enquirers and manage a caseload of individuals, as agreed with the Service Manager. Assessment & Reconnection Worker - Rough Sleeping Prevention Service

Are you interested in supporting people at immediate risk of rough sleeping and making a real difference to the lives of people who are homeless?

Our client's exciting pilot is a new approach to preventing rough sleeping, through the provision of accommodation with onsite specialist move-on support to those who are at immediate risk of sleeping rough. The service will provide a route and support for single homeless clients who are presenting to the Local Authority Housing Options or day centres and at imminent risk of rough sleeping, but not yet rough sleeping.

Where their homelessness cannot be prevented by the council and they are at imminent risk of sleeping rough, a referral can be made into the Rough Sleeping Prevention service.

The service will be based across three London locations in Islington, Lambeth and Kensington and Chelsea and staff will be expected work across all three sites.

• 7 day rolling rota including early, mid and late shifts.
• (K&C): medium – high support accommodation.
•  (Lambeth): medium support accommodation.
•  (Islington): Assessment hub space for up to 15 clients. Site will operate 24/7.

Each site will have staff delivering casework and support, providing each person with a comprehensive assessment of their needs and circumstances, and intensive specialist support to secure move on.

The service will work in partnership with the local authority to secure onward move-on options e.g. access the council PRS scheme, advocating for access to supported housing.

As an Assessment and Reconnection Worker, you will: 

• Be part of a busy team environment working closely with those new to, or at risk of rough sleeping. 

• Provide a personalised case management service to clients, turning assessment recommendations into practical action plans which fully involves the client.

• Build and maintain effective relationships to support clients throughout their recovery. 

About you

As a Youth Tech Abuse Lead you will provide specialist support to Refuge’s children support workers and frontline staff to ensure children, young people, and protective parents are using technology safely and positively in our refuges. You will increase understanding and awareness of your colleagues on tech-facilitated abuse and how to identify and respond to risks.  Approximately 40% of the role focuses on working directly with children and young people and their parents in empowerment workshops, and 60% of the role will focus on capacity building and training frontline staff.

You will work closely Senior Programme Manager – Children and Young People, deputising for them in ensuring the voices of children and young are central to the development of services and Refuge’s systemic change initiatives.

The role does require a particular focus on supporting survivors of tech-facilitated abuse under the age of 18, this would require developing and delivering tech-facilitated abuse and online safety workshops to children, young people, and protective parents in refuges across London.

About the role:

This role is based in our office at Whitecross Studio's, 50 Banner Street, London, with flexibility of hybrid working. The role requires travelling to other VS offices across London.

As a Senior Children and Young Persons Caseworker, you will be required to:

• Conduct risk assessment to ensure each CYP receives a tailored support that meets their needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support
• Provide one to one support to children & young people who are a victim or witness to a crime & advocate on their behalf
• Manage a caseload of different risk level cases & regularly review risk
• Make any necessary referrals to MARAC & follow local safeguarding processes
• Involve children & young people in making decisions about themselves & the development of the service.
• Establish links with relevant statutory partners in Social Care, Education, Health, Police and Housing & attend meetings as required
• Manage up to 4 staff, conducting supervisions & case reviews, providing support & coaching as required

You will need:

• Experience of working directly with vulnerable children and young people
• Knowledge of risk assessment & actions required to safeguard children & young people
• An understanding of the issues for children & young people experiencing crime
• Experience of building relationships & delivering effective multi-agency a partnership work
• Good organisational skills, able to prioritise effectively
• The ability to maintain accurate & confidential case records
• Good written & verbal communication skills
• Ability to use IT systems including Microsoft Office

Your new role

• Reporting to the Financial Controller and supporting them in the annual budgeting process, including gathering data from budget holders and leading meetings.
• Providing support for the annual audit process, working to tight deadlines and delivering information to auditors.
• Posting month-end journals, accruals and prepayments. As well as performing bank and control account reconciliations.
• Working with the FC to produce monthly management accounts.
• Identifying and recording VAT accurately.
• Assisting in developing and implementing procedure changes in parallel with the implementation of their new Dynamics 365 CRM system.
• Assisting the FC in the management of fixed-term cash deposits, monitoring investment returns and forecasting cash flow.

What you'll need to succeed

• Intermediate excel skills - pivot tables and v lookups are a must!
• A part-qualified accountant who is highly enthusiastic, energetic and proactive.
• Strong management accounts experience.
• Strong experience with bank reconciliations and double-entry.
• Highly communicative and personable.
