Castlehaven Community Association is looking for an organised and proactive Project Coordinator to support the delivery of our popular Ageactivity 60+ programme [AA60+] for older people over the age of 60.

The role will focus on promoting the physical & mental wellbeing & challenge loneliness & isolation in older adults in the local Community. Supporting the Project Manager with service delivery, adminstrative record keeping, volunteeer management, feedback and evaulations and ensuring the smooth running of the AA60+ Project.

The Pleasance Theatre Trust is one of the most established Fringe theatres in the UK - which as a registered charity aims to discover, nurture and support artistic talent from around the world. We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Finance Coordinator to join our team and provide essential support to the busy Finance Department.

The Finance Coordinator works with the Head of Finance and is responsible for a number of key book keeping and finance functions, including managing the purchase ledger, entering purchase and sales invoices, credit control, reconciliations, month end completion, raising settlements and general finance administration and communication.

With a strong focus on financial management, the ideal candidate will have an interest in pursuing a career in finance and have previous experience working within a finance department. General skills that will be essential within the role include excellent numerical skills, a working knowledge of programmes such as Excel and Word, book keeping - previous experience of book keeping software and the ability to manage a varied workload whilst maintaining a keen eye for detail.

The position is based at the Pleasance's London Theatre for the majority of the year, relocating to Edinburgh for the Festival Fringe throughout August. The role will be supported by an Edinburgh Finance Assistant during this time.

About the Role 

This is a key support role within the Foundation, providing high-quality coordination and executive support to the Strategy, Impact and Innovation and Income directorates.

You will provide clinical direction and maintain oversight of elop’s counselling services, bringing understanding and experience of delivering trauma-informed approaches to support the emotional health and psychological wellbeing of LGBTQ+ people.

You will oversee and contribute to clinical operational responsibilities, service coordination and delivery, ensuring a professional, safe, smooth running, efficient and well managed service is maintained.   You will work alongside the senior leadership team across both strategic and clinical operational levels ensuring lead responsibilities for our counselling teams and services. Working collaboratively with the senior leadership team, implementing clinical delivery decisions, ensuring the counselling service effectively maintains ethical and professional standards of practice and communication across key staff, other agencies and service users. 

You will proactively contribute to building a robust and compelling evidence base that continues to demonstrate impact, improved wellbeing, and increased resilience, and have a key role in monitoring, evaluation, and supporting the wider counselling team with reporting and using data to drive operations, and evidence-based best practice. 

Your role will also include overseeing referrals and allocation of clients; undertaking client assessments; providing role-management, and clinical support and supervision to trainee and sessional counsellors; line-management of key service personnel; some clinical support work with more complex or acute needs clients; recruiting, inducting and training key staff and volunteers; and liaising with the clinical supervision team. 

Full Time: 37 hours per week

We are looking for a hands-on leader who can bring significant income-generating expertise to a new challenge. You’ll sit lead our Outreach team, be a collaborative 'do-er' who leads inclusively, is passionate about our mission and wants to add value to our small team from day one. Purpose of the Role

The Director of Income role is responsible for leading our income generation. Our fundraising strategy is to significantly grow and further diversify our income, with a particular focus on corporate and trading income. The postholder will coordinate our fundraising activity, lead our Outreach team and work closely with the CEO to drive forward our income generation so we can safely deliver our ambitious strategy over the next 5 years. 

In particular, the postholder will be responsible for coordinating and developing our income function, converting our strategic fundraising objectives into operational plans, managing the Head of Outreach and representing the organisation externally. However, the role is not solely governance and leadership - we need a do-er who is comfortable working in a small team and sharing responsibilities, including submitting fundraising proposals and taking responsibility for our reporting. They will work closely with the CEO, Director of Programmes, Head of Outreach and Communications and Fundraising Coordinator to ensure we are communicating our value proposition coherently and effectively to the important stakeholders that make our work possible.

We do not see this as a traditional fundraising director role - we are looking for a skilled generalist who can meet us where we are at by working confidently across Trusts and Foundations, statutory grants, corporate partnerships and traded services simultaneously. We are a small charity with 10 staff, so while we are looking for a decision-making and accountable leader, the postholder will be expected to support colleagues across the organisation. The Politics Project supports young people to use their voice by giving them access to brilliant democratic education. Democracy Club produces the most comprehensive election data in the UK. Established in 2010 and registered as a Community Interest Company in 2015, it runs the national polling station finder Where Do I Vote and candidate lookup service Who Can I Vote For, serving election information to millions of UK voters each year and supplying data to the Electoral Commission. Democracy Club brings a mailing list of 35,000, an active community of 1,200 volunteer contributors collaborating on election information, and strong digital and data expertise to the Network.

Our vision for the Network

Over the last year, we have carried out extensive consultation with members of the UK Democracy Network, the Network’s Steering Group and funders. Through this process, we have developed a new vision for the Network that is designed to reflect and support the diversity of the democracy sector, and the wide range of approaches, perspectives and organisations within it.

Our model is built around a series of smaller thematic, geographic and demographic-based “hubs” within the wider Network. These hubs will create spaces for organisations and individuals working on particular issues, in particular places, or with specific communities to collaborate more effectively, while remaining connected to the wider democracy ecosystem.

Alongside this, the Network will support stronger coordination and information sharing across the sector through activities such as a monthly bulletin, shared events, an annual conference and practical tools and databases that help partners collaborate more effectively.

Importantly, we want to build on and strengthen the excellent work that already exists across the democracy landscape, rather than duplicate it. Over time, we also hope the Network can help incubate and support new hubs and collaborations around emerging issues and opportunities within the democracy sector.

About the role

The Network will be delivered by a small core team: a Network Director (this role), a Network Manager (in post), and a Network Coordinator (to be recruited).

Our medium-term ambition is for the Network to become an independent organisation in its own right. We see this role as central to shaping that transition, with the successful candidate expected to lead the Network into its next phase as an independent organisation over the course of the grant period. 

Key responsibilities

The Network Director provides overall leadership of the Network and is responsible for its long-term sustainability and strategic direction. 

Specifically: 

• Strategic leadership. Set strategic direction for the Network in consultation with members, hosts and the Steering Group / Board.

• Represent the Network. In networking and fundraising events, high-level roundtables and in high-profile relationships with government, funders, media and sector leaders.

• Lead on fundraising. Develop relationships with major funders, alongside Harriet Andrews at The Politics Project, building a diversified, sustainable funding base.

• Oversee the Network's transition to an independent legal structure. Support the establishment of the Board, working with Harriet Andrews and Sym Roe to recruit members with a mix of professional expertise and elected network representatives.

• Build an inclusive, supportive team culture. Line manage the Network Manager and Network Coordinator.

• Oversee monitoring and evaluation. Lead reporting to funders, and support the annual review process with the team and Steering Group / Board.

Person specification

We are looking for a values-driven, experienced, strategic leader. They will have strong people and financial management skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships across the democracy sector. They will be an excellent communicator, comfortable leading through complexity and change, and motivated by a commitment to strengthening UK democracy. 

The postholder will be expected to work in-office two days a week and attend regular in-person engagements in London.

This is a grant funded role, fixed term for two years, with the opportunity for conversion to a permanent role should funding allow.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To provide proactive, emotional, and practical support to families and individuals affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) across Scotland. The role will focus on early engagement, wellbeing assessment, community building, and delivery of workshops and events, while ensuring accurate tracking of support outcomes and data.  
 
The successful candidate will also lead on support for young people living with Duchenne during 2 key transition points (primary to secondary school stage and moving into adulthood). They will work closely with the England-based Transitions Coordinator to deliver a joined-up programme of support across the UK. 

Specific Tasks:

1. Proactive Family Support 

• Initiate contact with newly registered families within agreed timeframes (email within 3 working days, call within 7–10 working days) 

• Contact to be made to all registered Action Duchenne members, knows to us in Scotland, to ensure the current support offer is clear  

• Provide ongoing support tailored to individual needs, including emotional wellbeing, physical health, housing, financial security, self-esteem and respect, decision-making, social engagement, quality of life, and access to care 

• Use the Action Duchenne Assessment Form and Action Plan to identify and respond to areas of concern 

2. Transitions Support 

· Lead transition support across all nations, with a focus on Scotland, for children and young people facing key life changes, including: 

· Moving between educational settings such as primary to secondary 

· Transitioning from paediatric to adult health services 

· Changes in mobility and independence (e.g. transitioning to using powerchairs)

· You will lead, but expected to work collaboratively with the England-based Transition Coordinator to ensure consistency and continuity of support across the UK 

· Develop resources, guidance, and workshops to support families through transitions 

3. Wellbeing Tracking and Outcome Measurement 

· Administer wellbeing questionnaires and record scores across key domains (e.g. physical health, emotional wellbeing, financial security) 

· Collaborate with families to co-create action plans and track progress

Purpose of the Role
To support the efficient and safe running of FareShare South West’s Hub operations, ensuring high standards of stock handling, health & safety (H&S), and food compliance. The Senior Hub Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing goods in, supporting volunteers, the FareChance employability participants and volunteers in their operational tasks, and ensuring overall smooth day-to-day operations. The role also includes deputising for the Hub Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities
1. Hub Management

• Work with the Hub Manager to ensure smooth running of food intake, storage, and distribution.
• Ensure daily team briefings, safety updates, and essential information are communicated clearly to the hub operations team, as directed by the Hub Manager
• Liaise with food industry representatives, FareShare UK (FSUK), distribution companies and hauliers.
• Support the Hub Manager in coordinating and maintaining the fleet of vans and equipment, including weekly vehicle checks and basic maintenance duties (e.g. tyre pressures, topping up vehicle fluids).
• Support audit readiness by ensuring daily records, procedures, and documentation are completed accurately and consistently
• Collaborate with the hub operations team to reduce waste and maximise distribution of surplus food to Community Food Members (CFMs).
• Report operational improvements to the Hub Manager and support the implementation of agreed changes.
• Deputise for the Hub Manager during absence by:
  • Coordinating daily activities and overseeing the hub operations team.
  • Leading on-site health & safety and supporting team wellbeing.
  • Liaising with the Head of Food and Logistics to support food intake and logistics.
  • Working with the Volunteer Coordinator to ensure shift cover and resolve shortfalls.
  • Escalating and reporting issues to the Head of Operations.

2. Volunteer Management

• Under the direction of the Hub Manager, delegate operational tasks to volunteers and supervise their work.
• Ensure volunteers are supported and trained in their specific roles and can develop.
• Support volunteer health, safety and welfare during shifts.
• Coordinate delivery of corporate volunteering days with support from the wider FSSW team.
• Register and onboard new drivers, including delivering volunteer and staff driving assessments and inductions, a directed by the Hub Manager.

FareChance Employability Programme

• Support the Hub Manager in the operational delivery of the FareChance programme by overseeing and supervising participants during operations tasks, ensuring they are actively engaged and contributing to the hub operations team.
• Work with the Hub Manager to ensure FareChance participants are effectively trained, supported, and equipped to carry out their allocated duties, with opportunities to build confidence and develop relevant skills, with support from the volunteer and employability teams and Hub Manager.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that supports the health, safety and wellbeing of FareChance participants and enables them to thrive.
• Provide hands-on mentorship and act as a positive role model during day-to-day operations, supporting participants to build experience and confidence.
• Undertake relevant training to strengthen your ability to support FareChance participants and the wider volunteer team, including safeguarding, inclusive practice, mental health awareness and coaching approaches.
• Collaborate with the hub operations, volunteer and employability teams to ensure effective communication around support needs and progress.

3. Goods In and Storage

• Lead on the Goods In process:
• Train and support hub operations staff in correct goods in procedures.
• Coordinate and delegate daily goods in activities.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and use of relevant IT/systems.
• Develop and implement process improvements and share best practice across sites.
• Coordinate delivery yard activities, including CFM collections.
• Manage stock storage:
• Lead on stock rotation and promote best practice.
• Support the Hub Manager with maintaining accurate digital stock records, participating in regular stock checks and assisting with investigation of discrepancies in collaboration with the food and compliance teams.

4. Compliance and Health & Safety

• Work in accordance with FareShare’s HACCP Food Safety Manual.
• Support compliance with all relevant food hygiene, H&S, and other operational standards.
• Ensure the Hub adheres to the FSSW Warehouse Manual and FareShare procedures.
• Monitor the condition of Hub premises and equipment and report any maintenance, repair, or safety concerns to the Hub Manager promptly
• Undertake relevant training in food hygiene and H&S.

5. General

• Respond to enquiries and communications via phone, email, in person, or internal systems.
• Engage positively with visitors to the Hub.
• Support FSSW events as required.
• Carry out any other duties in support of the role’s purpose.

• Support the security of the Hub and all assets, including food.

Person Specification

Essential

• Experience working in a warehouse, logistics, or food distribution environment.
• Good working knowledge of H&S and/or food safety standards in operational settings and confident in working with clear procedures.
• Experience supporting or supervising others in a structured or task-based environment, leading by example and modelling safe, inclusive working practices
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confident using digital tools such as stock control systems, Microsoft Teams, email, or shared files.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to manage time, delegate tasks, and respond calmly to unexpected changes or pressures.
• Positive and practical approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to take responsibility and show initiative.
• Full UK driving license.
• Forklift truck operator’s qualification (or willing to train as an essential part of the role).

Desirable

• Understanding of the voluntary, food, or charity sectors.

This is an exciting and engaging job opportunity to join elop’s dedicated and enthusiastic team in a central coordination and development role within elop’s youth and community services. You’ll have an active role providing LGBTQ+ affirmative support for LGBTQ+ children and young people. 

Working alongside the senior leadership team you will have a key role in identifying and actively contributing to and supporting the attainment of strategic objectives, sustainability, future service development, service standards and delivery strategy of elop’s youth and community services.  This will include overseeing and ensuring efficient, effective, and smooth operations; maintaining accountable, professional, safe, and well administered services; service promotion, monitoring and evaluation; maintaining and developing new cross-sector networks, partnerships and collaborative relationships; ensuring services continue to meet existing and emerging needs and positively impact and make a genuine difference to those using them. 

Our youth service includes age restricted youth groups, 1:1 mentoring, some school-based delivery with occasional training workshops; and our community services include delivery of an LGBTQ+ community forum, community events, social groups, and volunteering programmes.

Working both in-person office based, with some remote home-based working (particularly required whilst awaiting completion of building works and relocation to new premises) you will be required to work one late evening a week and occasional other evenings and weekends when required.
