Duties and key responsibilities
Security Strategy & Risk Management:
•Develop and implement security strategies and operational guidelines for all field operations in high-risk areas.
•Conduct regular security assessments and threat analyses of operational environments and adjust strategies as needed.
•Provide recommendations to senior management on mitigation measures for identified security risks.
•Design and update security plans, contingency plans, and emergency evacuation protocols.
Staff Safety:
•Establish a strong safety culture for all staff, including expatriates/international volunteers and national personnel.
•Establish and maintain robust communication channels to inform staff of security-related developments and responses.
•Organise regular safety and security briefings and training for staff to ensure preparedness.
•Provide crisis management support during incidents involving staff security, including medical evacuations or other emergencies.
Security Operations:
•Oversee the implementation of physical security measures for offices, residences, and vehicles.
•Oversee management of local security staff (security guards, drivers, etc.) and ensure they are adequately trained and equipped.

•Ensure the security of the agency’s assets, including sensitive information and equipment.
Security Incident Management & Reporting:

Security Coordination:

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in risk, disaster or security or emergency management or a related field
•Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in security management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within a humanitarian, development, or conflict-related environment.
•Proven experience in managing complex security operations in high-risk settings.

About the role
We’re looking for a Associate Director of Brand & Marketing Communications with excellent brand, marketing and digital experience at a leadership level to lead our Brand and Marketing Communications Team.

The role
CGL’s Business Development Team is a large national team. This role will sit within a smaller specialist services sub-team, who have responsibility for retaining existing specialist contracts and winning new business opportunities.
This new fixed-term role will be responsible for leading all business development activities related to the upcoming national Commissioned Rehabilitative Services (CRS) opportunity.
You will work collaboratively with operational and central support colleagues to: develop service delivery models; form national, local, and regional partnerships; lead budgeting; and manage the writing of multiple concurrent tenders.
You will have the opportunity to visit and engage with our staff and service users across the country to learn about our services and specific local needs and challenges.
Ultimately you will play a key role in the design, development and delivery of our services and will help us to deliver on our organisational mission, strategy and values.
About you
You’ll be an experienced manager and leader, with a proven track record in securing and retaining contracts and leading and managing complex tenders in the criminal justice field or services closely aligned to criminal justice.
You’ll be a confined and highly competent communicator and have proven experiencing of developing national and local partnerships.
You’ll be an excellent writer, with experience of writing tenders, bids and proposals for national procurement processes.
You will have excellent IT skills, be highly numerate and be able to analyse and work with complex data and financial information.

o Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations (e.g., IFRS, FRS 102, VAT).
o Assist in preparing year-end audits, providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
o Work closely with village and care home managers, the senior finance team, and external auditors.
o Present financial results to non-financial managers and ensure financial understanding across the business.
- System and Process Improvement:
o Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems and reporting processes.
Key Requirements:
- Qualifications and skills:
o Formal accounting qualification (eg ACA, ACCA) is essential.
o Advanced understanding of accounting principles and practices.
o Familiarity with medium/large accounting software.

Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Brand and Content team as our Stories Lead. This is a permeant, hybrid, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, based between home and our offices in Kings Cross, London.
The Brand and Content Team nurture and develop the Sense brand, putting it at the heart of everything we do and ensuring it is consistently represented throughout every touchpoint. Key Responsibilities
- Manage Sense’s stories database and play a leading role in ensuring the most compelling stories feature across our media, campaigns, fundraising and wider comms initiatives.
- Oversee the management of storyteller relationships at Sense, making sure that their needs are met and that they understand the role of the charity, how their story can support it and the impact of doing so - ensuring they have a positive experience throughout.
