What the job involves

The Policy and Health Influencing team is responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.

As the Policy and Health Influencing Coordinator, you're key to supporting the policy and health influencing team, and teams across the Health Services, Equity and Improvement Directorate when needed. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work for example, at times arranging important stakeholder events and meetings and ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capture the outcomes of our external engagement.

In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator who knows how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. You’ll be able to comfortably engage with senior managers and a breadth of external senior level stakeholders. Regularly taking the initiative to drive improvements so that the teams you support can operate efficiently.

With skills in collecting and utilising data to monitor, trend, and report on activity, you're proactive in acting on the results. You’ll have some experience or interest in working in the health or volunteer sector. You’re also quick to learn and capable at picking up new systems including those for budget management and product fulfilment.

This is a senior leadership position offering a pivotal opportunity to shape our organization's financial and operational future. The Head of Finance and Operations will provide strategic guidance while ensuring the efficient and effective daily operations of all financial and administrative functions.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will deputize in their absence, contribute significantly to our organizational growth and success, and ensure a robust and compliant financial framework.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial & Operational Leadership

• Partner with the CEO to develop and implement long-term financial and operational strategies, including horizon scanning and risk management.

• Manage the organization's financial systems, specifically overseeing and optimizing the use of QuickBooks for all accounting and reporting functions.

• Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Develop, review, and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

• Oversee reviews and renewals of organizational insurance policies.

2. Financial Management & Oversight

• Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and taxation.

• Lead the annual audits for UK and US entities, ensuring accuracy and transparency and managing relationships with auditors.

• Maintain and manage banking relationships.

• Conduct regular variance analysis and recommend corrective actions to the CEO and leadership team.

• Oversee management of restricted funding.

• Develop and implement robust financial controls.

3. Fundraising and Data Systems

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reconciliation between CiviCRM and QuickBooks.

• Provide financial insights and analysis to support fundraising strategies and donor reporting.

4. Leadership & Governance

• Deputize for the CEO as needed, ensuring continuity across all operations.

• Maintain strong relationships with board members, providing comprehensive and insightful quarterly financial reports to foster understanding and engagement.

• Provide strategic leadership to your team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

• Be responsible for managing relationships with our US bookkeeper (consultant) and both UK and US auditors, and for the line management of the UK Finance and Admin Officer.

5. Operational Excellence

• Lead and manage a team of finance and operations professionals.

• Develop and implement efficient systems and processes to optimize performance across all administrative functions.

• Monitor and assess operational activities, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.

• Conduct regular cost analysis and implement cost-saving initiatives.

• Oversee HR and payroll functions

Person Specification

Essential

• Professional accounting or finance qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).

• Proven experience in a senior finance and operations role (at least three years experience).

• Experience in preparing UK statutory accounts and managing external audits. 

• In-depth knowledge of UK FRS 102 and Charities SORP. Exposure to/experience of US GAAP.

• Experience in preparing the annual budget, working closely with budget holders.

• Experience in supporting grant management.

• High proficiency in using financial software. (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero etc.)

• Experience in driving continuous improvement of financial processes and systems. 

• Strong strategic and financial planning skills.

• Experience leading and managing a team.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• You enjoy a mix of leadership and rolling up sleeves to get hands-on.

Information Officer

Cystic Fibrosis Trust is looking for an Information Officer to join our busy and supportive team at an exciting time of rapid change in cystic fibrosis and the information landscape. Changes in clinical care, treatments and the experiences and needs of people with CF have prompted a dramatic increase in the breadth and volume of information we need to create. At the same time, AI, disinformation and misinformation mean accurate, trusted information is more important than ever.

To navigate the changing landscape of CF and health information, you’ll need editorial expertise and a commitment to engaging with and empowering the cystic fibrosis community through the development of high quality, engaging, accessible information in print and digital formats.

You will develop and maintain our extensive offer of health and other information, including our library of factsheets, special topic information packs, web content and videos aimed at people affected by cystic fibrosis and clinical teams. You will make sure that our resources meet the needs of our target audiences through sensitive and meaningful involvement with people with CF and healthcare professionals.

You will have experience of producing high quality, comprehensive information for people with health conditions from concept through to publication and a knack for making complex health information easy to understand. An understanding of and commitment to the criteria of the Patient Information Forum quality kitemark (the PIF TICK) is integral to the role.

This position will involve working on multiple projects concurrently, juggling priorities, being proactive in your approach and creating reactive information to address emerging issues. Strong organisational and time-management skills are therefore needed, as is the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with colleagues in the team and wider organisation, and a range of external stakeholders.

About the Role

About the Role

We’re excited to be recruiting a Senior Policy Advisor – Policy Engagement Lead to join our Policy Solutions team at WWF-UK.

In this pivotal role, you’ll lead international policy engagement for a new flagship project, Future Fit for a Just Transition. You’ll work across WWF offices globally to drive forward a just transition to a net zero, nature-positive economy and financial system.  The project will focus on international implementation of the transition, and identifying best practices and challenges faced in different countries to facilitate shared learning, promote healthy competition, identify collaborative solutions, and hence speed up implementation.

As part of this we aim to develop a suite of ‘Future Fitness’ metrics that show progress towards a just, net zero, nature positive economy in countries around the world, to engage with the business and policy community based on the findings, to understand barriers and impacts of the transition and identify solutions, undertake policy advocacy off the back of the findings, and produce a regular Flagship report setting out the results and implications at the global level.

We are looking for an individual who is experienced in policy engagement, business transitions and coordinating complex multi-stakeholder policy processes, who can take responsibility for managing the international policy engagement component of this project.  This will include extensive engagement with stakeholders in each of the countries of focus, to obtain input and feedback, develop the narrative, build buy-in and disseminate the findings of the work, in a way that changes the economic-environment debate and supports wider action and impact on our agenda. It may also involve managing publication and report launch activities, managing consultants, and organizing and participating in events to share and discuss the report findings.

You will build links and strategic relationships with other organisations and other parts of the WWF global Network to promote and disseminate the work. Important will be the ability to create and provide diverse, relevant and impactful ideas for policy, and to involve communities affected by climate and nature loss in the process of policy development.

Minimum Criteria (Essential)

Policy development experience, demonstrated by examples.

Experience and knowledge in one or (ideally) more of the following areas of policy:

- Climate change and net zero transition

- Economics & finance

- Nature-related risks and opportunities

- Food and agriculture sector

Experience of working across different countries on economics, finance or policy-related issues.

Project management experience and demonstrated experience in organising stakeholder engagement processes.

LMK’s Head of Programmes leads, develops and delivers LMKs high quality education programmes for young people and the trusted adults around them, ensuring our programmes are responsive to the changing experiences of young people and the feedback from our programme evaluation. Leading a passionate and talented team of employees and freelance youth workers, this role is an important ambassadorial role for LMK, bringing gravitas and insight from your experience of education provision to evidence LMK’s impact to fellow education professionals, youth workers, funders and the media. Working with the CEO, and our Youth Advisory Board, this role helps shape the strategic direction for LMK. 

Working from home, but with regular travel around London so must be based in or near London.

Head of Fundraising

What You’ll Do:
As our Head of Fundraising, you will play a vital role to help deliver the League’s vision of a kinder society where animals are no longer persecuted in the name of ‘sport’. Your responsibilities will include:

• Driving the development and delivery of the charity’s individual giving programme and all related activities, projects and materials (both offline and digital)
• Maintaining and growing income, ensuring income targets are met while expenditure runs within budget
• Managing and co-ordinating planning and reporting across the Fundraising department
• Ensuring excellent service is delivered to supporters

Who You Are:
We need a strategic-thinking and inspirational leader with a passion for animal welfare, who possesses:

• Significant experience in a fundraising or marketing role within a comparable organisation
• Experience of developing and managing income generating campaigns
• Proven experience of leading teams
• Proven experience of CRM systems, HMRC and gift aid regulations
• Excellent project management skills

Assistant Director – Property Services
 

We are seeking a strategic and experienced property leader to drive excellence in housing compliance, maintenance, and asset management.

Position: Assistant Director – Property Services
Salary: £56,000  rising to £64,368 per annum
Location: South East England (with hybrid working options)

About the Role

This is a pivotal leadership role within a well-established social housing provider and charity, offering supported accommodation and services to vulnerable individuals. As Assistant Director – Property Services, you will lead the delivery and continuous improvement of property services across a diverse portfolio of residential, office, and retail spaces.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring full compliance with housing regulations, health and safety legislation, and building safety standards. This includes overseeing planned and responsive maintenance, asset management, and facilities services. You’ll manage both in-house teams and external contractors, embedding a “right first time” approach and championing tenant involvement in service design.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading property service strategy and delivery
• Ensuring regulatory compliance and audit readiness
• Managing departmental budgets and investment planning
• Driving service improvement through tenant feedback

About You

You’ll bring significant senior-level experience in property, housing, or facilities management—ideally within the social housing or charitable sectors. You’ll have a deep understanding of compliance frameworks and a track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams and large budgets.

You’ll be a confident leader with excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with internal teams, tenants, contractors, and regulators. Strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and a commitment to inclusive leadership are essential.

You’ll also have:

• A degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., construction, housing, surveying)
• Membership of a professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB, IWFM) or equivalent experience
• Strong project management and procurement skills
• A passion for delivering high-quality, safe, and sustainable housing services

We’re looking for an exceptional leader who can work alongside their Associate Director colleagues to drive the charity forwards, and to engage, coach and inspire our talented Heads of Department and their wider teams.
